Usually when someone says, “I’ve been dying for…” it’s a figure of speech, but perhaps not when it comes to Chanel. 🙂 I think I actually was dying a little bit every day waiting for the new Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks ($32 each) to arrive, and WOOHOO! They’re finally here!
Remember when you and I took an early look at one of the first shades to be released, Boy, back in February? Well, now all 18 shades are available at Chanel boutiques, counters and also online.
These luscious, shiny ladies are like Rouge Coco’s wilder, more impulsive younger sister. They feel smoother, lighter and thinner on my lips than the RCs do — similar to the MAC Slim Shines — and last about two hours on me.

The colors are arranged into four groups — Roses/Pinks, Violets/Berries, Reds/Corals and Neutrals/Browns. Here are some hand swatches, with lip swatches (and requisite gushing, as I can already see some that I know I’ll like) coming in the days ahead. Holla at me in the comments if you see something you like.

They are beautiful! All of them, but I bought Rebelle and Boy – love!
I LOVE “Boy” but sadly it doesn’t wear very well on me at all. Without drinking or eating, it only seems to last an hour tops, even with primer and exfoliating prior. I find myself reapplying like crazy.. I have a feeling half the tube will disappear by the end of the month if I keep wearing it lol
I only get an hour as well…but love it so much I’ll probably get another color anyway. I’m thinking bonheur.
just bought antigone and its now my absolute HG. of ALL TIME. it does last somewhat longer on me though, maybe 3 hours?
i’m liking EVASION, might have to check it out althoughhhhhh, $32 is a bit much!!!
Funny, in the shop I’d mainly noticed all those rose/pinks, but on your hand Unique and Bonheur are my fav!
I really need at least one of these just to say I own a Chanel lipstick, haha. As someone just starting out with lipstick and not used to a bunch of pigment on my lips yet I like that these are more sheer and glossy. I will definitely at least swatch them at the counter.
I bought Evasion, Aventure & Boy this week and love them! Once fall comes around, I’m going to pick up more of the berries…. the formula is amazing and I’m pretty sure these will slowly be replacing many of my other lip products. Chanel scored with these!!!!

Evasion is quite gorgeous! However, it didn’t look so nice on me 🙁

I ordered these when Chanel page on Facebook did the pre-launch. I will get mine delivered Monday morning. Hooray! I ordered Chance and Evasion. I still want a few others 🙂
Hmmm…unfortunately most of these colors aren’t doing it for me. Probably a good thing since I’m too broke for these right now! Rebelle does look really hot though.

I ordered Boy and Bonheur from the Chanel pop-up store on Facebook – Boy is VERY light and doesn’t really show up much, but I love Bonheur…enough that I went to Nordstrom to pick up another color yesterday – I got Cavaliere, which is a lovely plummy brown. All of them are sheer, but I find that the darker colors leave a bit of a stain on my lips…which I always love in a lipstick, especially if it’s not just around the edges!
I love this formula so much it makes me not want to buy any other lipsticks!
Wow, Rebelle looks amazing! I totally want to buy an orange lipstick for this S/S and it might be that one *wallet cries*

I bought 4! Rebelle, Monte Carlo, Sari D’eau and Romance. I love the texture. They last about 3 hours on me. The trick is not to appy any lip balm before application and use a good lip liner as a base. HTHs.

I couldn’t resist buying Boy, then got talked into Bel-Ami as well. They both are “my lips but better” on my pigmented lips, and great for my casual life style. Boy looks a bit more mauve-pink on me, Bel-Ami is more of a pale rosy brown. As everyone has commented they are quite sheer and need to be re-applied often. I’m really interested in Sari D’Eau as a possibility for something a bit more intense and polished looking. Any thoughts about how different it would look from Rouge Allure in Coquette which I also have (aside from texture) Rebelle did not look good on me, but hoping Sari d’Eau will be a winner.
