The newly reformulated NARS Lip Gloss Line
- Coming April 15 to NARS Boutiques and narscosmetics.com, and NARS counters and Sephora stores May 1.
- Bound for the permanent line.
- The new formulation feels silkier, smoother and less sticky on my lips.
- The new formula does NOT taste and smell like plastic, yay!
- They last from 2-4 hours for me.
- NARS kept the doe-foot applicator but replaced the opaque tubes with clear tubes.
- While the tubes appear larger, they actually contain less product. The previous versions were $24 for a 0.28-oz tube, while these new ones are $26 for 0.18 ounces. Hrmpf!
- The new NARS Lip Gloss line features 23 shades carried over from the previous formulation, and seven completely new shades — namely Salamanca, Eternal Red, Quito, Priscilla, Sixties Fan, Istria and Tasmania.

Kanji the kitty is stunning and I’m pretty sure he should be Tabs’ new brother. I want to check the glosses out, but I’ve been wary of NARS gloss. I had an allergic reaction to the Larger than Life glosses.

Sometimes I think it’s funny how while we already have a cat (or three…) in the house, we still LOVE to see other people’s cat photos or stare at strange cats on the street. But oh well. I guess that’s what makes us cat ladies LOL
I’m glad to hear they took the smell out of the formula! I haven’t tried a NARS gloss, but a reader told me recently that she hates the smell! Now I know why 🙂

Why do these companies (beauty, luxury, etc.) think it is ok to take advantage and rob it’s customers of their money? While I am glad Nars has re-formulated the glosses and gotten rid of the gross scent (I don’t care about the stickiness of lip glosses because I personally don’t mind it – love my MAC lipglasses), why cheat the consumers by offering less product and charging more money, i.e. Nars Matte Multiples? Whether it makeup or a luxury handbag, this companies seem to be conveying that they only want a certain clientele and everyone else can go by the wayside. So disappointing!!
I love Siamese cats!! I have three and they are very beautiful and smart.
My beautiful 12 year old Siamese died 3 weeks ago and we’re still in shock. Kanji looks a lot like him. I really miss seeing those gorgeous blue eyes.
New AND improved…and also 1/3 smaller? I don’t get it. That seems to be the trend lately. I know there’s no point in complaining, but every company that’s re formulated a product ends up shrinking it but not the price.
You’re a stronger woman then I am! I can’t go anywhere near adoptable animals without getting one or crying an feeling guilty for days about not getting at least one. I’ve got 2 rescue pets and it’s all I’m allowed on my new lease!
True story: The vet’s assistant asked me on the phone today, “which one is it? Oooh, you have a LOT of cats”. Yes, thanks, 4 is actually a lot. 🙂
Another true story, we visited a pet store a few weeks ago and one of the boys fell in LOVE with a dwarf lop eared bunny. It was the most adorable thing I’ve seen in forever. Sadly, I don’t think it would have lasted long with the aforementioned 4 cats. 🙁

I love this post! I was not a cat person until we got our first cat (rest in peace, Gomez, you were gone too soon), but I’ll be damned if I’m not trying to get every kitty I see to play with me (I may have been trying to get a neighbor kitty to eat treats from me in my wedding dress). I mean, of course I’m still a crazy bunny lady, and I love dogs, but I love cats too now.

I saw a kitty today that you’d probably want to make friends with. She’s a cute, long-haired tabby that lives down the street. She’s skittish though. I think I will have to bribe her with canned food. 🙂
