Me? I usually fall into the role of “the funny one,” or “the weirdo writer.”
I always thought it would’ve been fun to be the one all the boys flocked to, aka “the sexy one,” but alas, seduction was never my forte.
I seriously could not seduce my way out of a paper bag. (Remind me to tell you about the time I dove into the ocean without my glasses or contacts on and swam away from a cute guy…who ended up being El Hub.)
Even though I’m not a seductive siren by nature, I still think it’s fun to role-play, especially with makeup. It’s like stepping into someone else’s shoes for a while or playing a character for a day.

I really love the coppery-golden eyes, but I think with this look I will do a red or nude lipstick instead of the pink.

My first makeup product was from Covergirl-one of their powders in a green case. It was super powdery on me but just loved the smell. Also, bought a liquid foundation that totally didn’t match me for my prom. I didn’t wear it of course.

On a day-to-day basis I prefer a medium lip color, like a soft rosy pink or peachy pink. But I’m not afraid to go bold with a bright pink or red 😉

Great look. I wonder if using that tape would help with fall out? I have a few shadows I love but the fall out is horrible. It’s so hard to get it off your under eye and not look like you have black eyes! Any suggestions?

I just discovered Ulta – from my 10 year old niece. She was showing me all the finds from her shopping trip and at a trip to the mall a few weeks later, I discovered an Ulta store. I stopped in briefly, but couldn’t really browse as I was rushing to finish Christmas shopping. So excited to check it out now!

I had a beautiful fossil watch that had hearts with pink rhinestones and clear, and then clear rhinestones around the faces outside. It was my favorite watch but the battery died and the. Some of the stones started to fall out, but I had it five years. Now I really want a Michael Kors runway watch with the big MK symbol on the face…. Probably silver would be worn more but the rose gold is real pretty too. But their so expensive… If I could get one for under $100 I’d be happy but even on ebay they over that…. So I better find a new watch love!

Ever since Ulta opened a store right next to the Target where I do a lot of my grocery shopping, I’m in there at *least* once a week, sometimes twice or more! All the people who work there are so friendly and helpful. Since I bought the new Vice Palette there, I sometimes go in just to show off my eye shadow look of the day to other people who like to have fun with makeup. Having great people in the store really means a lot.

Hi, Karen! I wear a watch every day. I actually feel naked without it! The watch that I wear most often is a Skagen white ceramic watch that has crystals all the way around the timepiece. I love how it sparkles in sunlight!

I love the look of a large-faced/masculine watch on a woman. I especially like it for myself because as a plus size woman, I think tiny accessories look like I’m overcompensasting. I love Cover Girl’s LashBlast Mascara. It is the only drug store brand I’ve found that is as good as what you find at Sephora:)

Do you wear a watch? If so, tell me about it. Leopardy-tortoise Guess Watch I got @ TJ Maxx with a gift card. It’s one of my favorites. Other ones: a leopard tortoise-shell bangle bracelet that was a free GWP from Ulta years ago. I’ve had that watch repaired several times I love it so. It goes with my animalian wardrobe. And my third favorite watch is a basic, boring, black and silver watch I bought at Overstock.com years ago. It’s so classic and has served me well for years.
The last time I went to Ulta was in November. So, I’m really overdue. I like to go once a month.
I really like Covergirl’s nail polishes.

I wasn’t all that into watches until Hubs bought me a totally gorg blinged-out Michael Kors watch (the Camille crystal encrusted) for Christmas. Now? I’m all over wearing a watch! The funny thing is I’ve had it for almost two weeks now and just yesterday noticed it was an hour off!! Clearly I wear it for the bling factor rather than function.

The last time I visited an Ulta store was 5 days before Christmas! I was trying to find some fun makeup goodies for my sisters and mom 🙂
Especially excited for the bombshell shineshadows! Remind me a little of the bareMinerals Prime Time eyeshadows, which are my favorite cream shadows 🙂
I visit Ulta online at least weekly, but only make it to the store every other month or so.

My first makeup product was a frosted pink gloss from Cover Girl. I felt so grown up! They still hold a special place in my makeup loving heart 🙂
My watch is a Nike fuel band and I go to Ulta all the time to ‘browse’ 🙂
The last time I visited Ulta was about a month ago to buy some Moroccan oil products for my hair.
I love the tape idea! I could never get my pin straight.
I’ve been really enjoying the new(ish) Flame Out eye shadow sticks. They are easy to use and last ALL DAY. Seriously. So nice to have my eye shadow in place after 11 hours of wear.
I just got the Bombshell mascara last night. Can’t wait to open it!

My go to CoverGirl product is the 3-in-1 Foundation. Best drugstore foundation ever! I actually like it better than MUFW HD! Better color match.

When was the last time you visited an Ulta Beauty store? Right before Christmas to do some shopping for my mother’s gift. Some of her favorite products (Too Faced) and a cute cosmetic bag. I also snagged some cute pink ORLY polish for myself when I was there 😡 Ulta is my fav.
Do you prefer bright or nude lipsticks? Nude. Sadly my complexion (red hair, fair/neutral skin) makes life difficult when it comes to pulling off bright lipstick. But I still own a bunch and break them out for special occasions.

I have to say I love your idea of the tape under the eyes. I’m always having to clean up makeup from applying a smoky eye, which is one of my favorite looks.

I love Ulta! We don’t have many near me in NY, but when I go to visit my daughter in PA, we stock up on everything we can get our hands on. Makeup hair products, clips and potions, pretty much everything we see that we can’t get at home! Btw, love the pink lipstick in the photos!

The last time I visited an Ulta Store was on December 23 where I purchased Devacurl No Poo and One Condition and a Smashboxx Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio. The eyeshadow was actually an unintentional purchase but I love it!
I love bright lipsticks, they transform your whole face.
Bright lips are the best. It took me awhile to be comfortable with them, but now I can’t live without them.

I prefer bright lipsticks but I have been reach out of my comfort zone lately and I’m on the hunt for the perfect nude lipstick for me. I’m trying high end and drug store but I just haven’t found the perfect nude yet, Japanese Maple from Mac is close but just not it.

I am definitely all about the brights when it comes to lips. It’s funny because a few years ago I would have never touched lipstick at all. But, now my look doesn’t feel complete to me without it.

I have watches, but I rarely wear them. For some reason i never liked the feeling of bracelets/watches.
I was lucky enough to win a watch from Heidi Klum’s line for HSN and I love it and wear it every day!
I like nude lipsticks but they tend to not add anything for me therefore I usually use lipsticks with color to make me look much more awake than nude lipsticks.

Covergirl was part of my first makeup kit as a kid! When I was about 9 my oldest sister got sick of my grimy hands in her makeup bag so she got my a little strter kit with Covergirl pressed powder, cheekers blush, and clear mascara. I thought i was the coolest pre-teen around! Now ten years later I have expanded my horizons, but I still make a trip to the Covergirl display every now and then to see what’s new!
This look is so beautiful! One of my staple makeup products is Covergirl. I can’t live without their Tinted Moisturizer, it’s the only foundation I can find to work well with my dry skin!

I got the bombshell mascara a few days ago! I love it more for everyday look as the formula is thin, and the brush is great for separating. But with extra coats you can get much fuller but still soft lashes.
Nice look! I’m still trying to figure out how to do a cat eye with my hooded eyes, extremely curled lashes that get in the way, and unsteady hands.

My go to CG product would have to be Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation.It comes in sooooo many shades and it out performs a lot of my higher end foundations!! And I also have a large CG Lip perfection collection…VERY LARGE.LOVE-LOVE-LOVE!!!!

Well when we were kids the only makeup I knew was Cover Girl. I had the foundation and blush indeed.
I have never used cover girl! The only drug store makeup I have ever used is maybelline! The last time I went to Ulta was probably about a month ago. I bought a too faced snow bunny bronzer!

Last time I visited an Ulta was about a month and a half to 2 months ago.. it’s not my favorite beauty store. The ones I’ve been to are always dim with not great lighting and I don’t know.. just something about the atmosphere that I don’t like too much, so it’s a rare occasion for me.
i was just at ulta yesterday, i wanted to get the be merry be bright palette from too faced, but they were out. i ended up getting two more maybelline color elixirs, i frickin love those
