YOWZA! I could not wait to meet the 15 new eyeshadow colors in the Urban Decay Fall 2011 collection. 🙂
Here are pics and swatches of them and the other products in the release, along with a quick breakdown of the look I wore this afternoon, which, I should say, was inspired by the teal and purple look worn by the model for UD’s Fall 2011 campaign, and NOT by that embarrassing incident with the hot
fireman last year.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

*runs up to Karen like a 2 year old and gives her a giant bear hug for no reason* ^_^
Aww, big hug back, boo!
I love this look 😉 and the shadows look good too! Would you say they resemble the texture of the shadows in the Naked palette? I like those. And I like how the lip products look too. Not feeling the lash curler though. It looks like an industrial strength machine 😛
Hi Paris,
Yup, the textures are the same. I really like the shadows — they’re super easy to blend, and very, very pigmented.
oh yea and that Siren eye liner is coming home with me one way or another……………
I love that color. HOT!
Wow the eyeshadow swatches look amazing. I want to try a little bit of everything you showed in this post.
Hi Crystal,
There’s a lot to love!
awesome awesome swatches. love love the turquoise/purple you got going on. Such vibrant colors. Cant wait to get my hands on these.
Thanks, Amy! If you like brights, you’ll love this release!
Haay Karen! Just wondering about the new lash curler. It looks….interesting (to say the least lol). Have you used it yet? How would it compare to others seeing that it doesn’t have the bars on the sides?
I used it quickly yesterday and it was interesting! I need to spend a little more time testing it… will review it soon!
You look very mermaid-y Ariel in the pics, which means gorgeous!! I need that Demolition Eyeliner!
Aww, thanks, girl! Now where’s Sebastian? LOL!
I need that palette. I can’t believe it sold out so quickly on UD’s website! Well, actually I can believe it. i just hope that I’ll be able to pick one up when Sephora gets them in stock.
I hope you will be able to, too! It’s kind of amazing.
I NEED THAT PALETTE. You know the whole “making grabby motions in the air while squeaking ‘WANT!’?” Yeah, that’s totally happening.
LOL, I know that motion all too well!
i waited FOREVER for the Naked Palette to come back so I was having none of that with this palette – it’s already on it’s way to me (I <3 that urbandecay.com ships out faster than any of the other beauty companies – they know we're addicted!). I can't wait to play with them and I hope I look half as pretty as you do!!
You’re so sweet, Inky. When you get your palette please let me know what you think of it! 🙂
i love the package
So pretty!
…why do they do this to us? I LOVE the palette packaging, I wish I could just buy that and transfer my Naked palette shadows into it. The liquid liners are amazing, the metallic finishes are to die for!!!
I know, right? Everything is so darn gorgeous!
Karen those colors look fantastic on you!! I really like deep end it’s a beautiful blue.
Me too. It reminds me of the ocean!
Now all I need is a warm beach and fruity drink with an umbrella…
amazing! everything looks absolutely gorgeous <3. i must say i prefer your look better than the models!
Thanks, hon! Hope you’re having a good day!
Loving that palette and the lip colors!
Me too. The colors are so fun and playful!
How fun! You look great. <3
Thanks, Vijaya!
as soon as I realized you were wearing two different colors, I thought about that incident. Then I saw that you commented on it. Don’t worry, it definitely looks better than what you were wearing that time!
LOL… thanks! Luckily there were no hot firemen in the neighborhood. 🙂
Is Sabbath noticeably blue on the eye, or does it appear pretty much black when applied normally as opposed to a nice, generous swatch?
Great pictures/reviews as always, my dear!
Hi Lola,
Thanks! 🙂
As for Sabbath, yes, it reads as a straight up navy blue.
What a fun look, love it! That palette looks gorgeous!
It’s even more beautiful in person, Gio!
Thank you!!!!!!
You’re welcome. 🙂
omg. I saw promo pics and was not very excited but then i saw this whole post and i am dying, i love it all. the last few weeks of not buying is going to be undone by saving up and buying this and that chanel quad.
Hi Beth,
What will you be getting from the release?
It’s starting to look like a TRIPLE rainbow! *Cries* It’s so beautiful!
Lol LOVE your site. Thank you for being such an amazing beauty resource! xx
SO INTENSE! 🙂
Lovely case and colors! I like F-Bomb just for the name!
Me too! I like it when they give products cheeky names.
Oh my gosh. I need that palette like……. ohmigod. LOVE!!!
YES! It’s a lot of fun.
Urban Decay is so addictive! I wish I could purchase the whole collection 🙂
It totally is. Their brights suck me in every time!
Oh wow, I love everything! Plus I love the look you created! Strictly for indoors, but gorgeous all the same. 🙂
LOL… yeah, the only place I could probably get away with it is a makeup event! Or maybe a Gaga concert.
I’m really curious about the curler too!
I’ll be doing a review soon. 🙂
Why does that lash curler look like a saw contraption?
I’m TOTALLY loving this two eyeshadow look. Normally I don’t think I would, but it looks great!
Me too! At first I felt a little cra-zay-zay in it but I ended up really liking it.
My jaw literally fell open when I saw the UD palette – so gorgeous!! I love that there are a bunch of neutrals AND some crazy colors, because if it’s all crazy colors it looks pretty but I have no use for it. I’m sad that this is sold out already – I will definitely be stalking Sephora to get it.
Hi Amanda,
You’ll love it! It really is a well balanced palette. 🙂
this is a gorgeous collection, and your look – OMG cute! love it!
a few years ago, i went to a church christmas party w/ my aunt. it was held in a part of town i wasnt familiar with, and on our way home, we got lost. hopelessly lost.
i decided to stop by a firehouse, where as luck would have it a cute fireman came out to help us. i asked him how to get back to US59 and he said go east. i have no idea where my north/south/east/west was so i was like — “uhm, could you point that direction out to me”. he did, but i could tell he was thinking i was a dork so as soon as we were done, i thanked him and ran back to the car, blushing furiously!
Aww, thanks, Nina!
Haha, I would’ve done the EXACT same thing. I’m “directionally challenged” and get lost quite often too. When people to tell me to go north, south, east or west I’m like, “Huh? Just tell me what street to turn on or what landmark to look for.”
LOL …. the Hubs always laughs at me when i ask him whc way is South. 😀
Omggggg! I loooove all the choices for the 24/7 Liquid Liners. They really are waterproof. I put a swatch on my hand yesterday at Sephora and I had to SCRUB it off. I used makeup remover and washed my hands 3 times and it still didn’t come off! I was so impressed. I HAVE to have one! I love El Dorado – need it! Thanks for sharing the swatches!
Sure thing. 🙂 El Dorado is fun — I love it along the upper lash line.
I tried ordering the palette yesterday afternoon but was too late. It’s sold out already! 🙁 I definitely will be getting Siren eyeliner also. Such a cool looking color.
Hi Amanda,
Sorry to hear about the palette. Hopefully they’ll be restocking it soon! (Fingers crossed.)
I am totally getting Sabbath eyeliner!
Sweet! 🙂 I hope Rocky and Jazz won’t be tempted to steal it!
Oh, I was totally like “hey, it must be wildfire season in Novato”. 😉
I really like that teal eye, btw. Though both look great on you.
That UD, so neutral and boring with their colors. HAHA! I’d say my faves from the swatches are: Revolver and Retrograde liquid liners (though, they’re all awesome-looking) and F Bomb gloss. I guess I’m not in a shadow mood because nothing really made me fall in love. The palette seems super-versatile, though. And you know there’s pretty much a 0% chance that I’d actually wear F Bomb; I just like looking at it in the swatch. 🙂
HAHA!!! That would be just my luck to have the hot fireman show up again on the ONE DAY in 2011 I do a crazy pants look like this.
One of these days, my friend, we will get you in a bright red gloss like F-Bomb. Mark my words! It WILL happen!
Oh yeah — we still have to catch up on True Blood. I really enjoyed the last episode. It looks like this season is shaping up quite nicely.
I’m going to try to swing by Sephora tomorrow and I’ve been thinking about Tarte’s TB lip tint. It’s sort of like the gateway drug to red lips, right? 🙂
And I definitely agree about the show. I’ve been an Eric fan (since the hair cut, of course) and if any of the seasons focus on him, I think this will be it. AB usually follows the main plot of each book, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I’m totally curious about the eyelash curler, how is it?
I’m also curious about the eyelash curler. It looks serious! Wonder how well it performs…
I tried it yesterday and it was, um, interesting. Will do a review soon!
I tried it quickly yesterday; will do more testing today! I’ll let you know. 🙂
Hey Karen,
When will the palette be available on Sephora’s website? I’ve been checking constantly but they don’t have any of the new products. I live in Canada so I can’t order from the UD website 🙁
Oooh! ~ ♥ the look!! 🙂
Nice!!
aww man those look so freaking awesome! They said they would restock… I must have them they look rad on you! I’m really impressed with UD’s Fall stuff!
uh i am in love with UD. they are my favorite and what got me started into my makeup career. beautiful. must buy asap.
I’m curious about whether the True Blood Palette or this palette would be a better purchase for me. I’m an NC25 with dark brown hair/eyes. I am leaning toward Urban Decay because I am loving these bright colors but I’m afraid I won’t be able to pull them off as well as the True Blood palette (which seems like colors I’m comfortable with).
I love the peversion liner, glad that there is a way to buy it seperately. I have it in the pencil liner and love it. At least I’m in Europe so have time to save up for the splurging I’ll be doing on this collection!
15 brand new shades?! YES PLEASE! 😀 I just hope the colors aren’t too warm for this cool-toned gal!
HOW can be good when wonderfulness like this comes out!?!? Gah!!
Thank you for the swatches. I wasn’t going to buy this, but after seeing the purple and aqua, you’ve changed my mind! Thank you for your awesome blog!!!!!!!
Wow!!! Did I read correct?? All the 15 shades are new?? Good thing a brand new UD counter has just opened in the Debenhams near my place. 🙂
Love the pink liquid eyeliner!
Hi Karen! Did you use the liquid liner on your water line too?
GOD MUST HAVE <3!
Lol first thing I thought of WAS the fireman incident XD beautiful look Karen <3
Ok, I want the palette just for Midnight 15. It looks very close to an old Body Shop eyeshadow that I’ve been trying to replace for so many years (that one was called Mushroom and I always got compliments on it). I think there’s only 2 shades that I wouldn’t use in the palette but I still can’t justify buying it for just 1 colour, lol. I wish that some of the palette colours (from this and Naked) were available as individual pots.
I should have said all of the Naked palette colours, sorry!
you are looking awesome Karen 😀 😀 loved the look on you
My palette arrived today and it is AMAZING!! I was afraid of the bright colors, but they are beautiful. I think it is a must have!
Karen,
I am so in love with Urban Decay Fall collection!!
The palette, eyelash curler, lip gloss.. OMG =)
You look so pretty here–just like a mermaid! I wasn’t interested in the palette before, but I kind of want it just for Omen now!
Great swatches, I think this is one of the best looking (non-bulky) palettes they’ve put out apart from the naked palette. Kudos UD and to you Karen for the swatches.
OMG, you did your eyes so pretty! Love neon blue!
I’m loving all these vibrant colors in your makeup look! :)….the product pics you took look super sharp as well!
That eyeshadow collection is awesome, and I love the way you used the colours in your look!
(seriously, the eyeshadows are the one thing I’ve seen this year that I’ve wanted with a passion, is it bad that I’m considering driving to Ottawa — 2 hours away — to hit their Sephora?)
The lip colours are fabulous too but not quite so covetable as there are currently available dupes from the drugstore lines of at least a couple of the colours.
