I’m wondering if this means that I’m a soccer mom now and can legit rock this gloss by Lune + Aster called Soccer Mom?! I’m going to go with a “yes.”

I know it’s a small thing, but sometimes I get a little tired of all the “sexy” names used for beauty products. It’s just…we get it already. Sexuality sells, but can we try something a little different for a change? I’m just sayin’… I would rather that future 12-year-old Connor Claire NOT wear a gloss called Sexy Meow Meow or Dominatrix or Bejeweled Thong or whatever.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it, which would be a typical Karen thing to do, FOR SURE.
OK, end rant!
Anyway, I like these. They look and feel like the Chanel Glossimers, and they’re a thicker, moderately moisturizing gloss, but if you have super dry lips, you still might need to layer a balm underneath.
I can definitely feel them on my lips, but they don’t feel sticky or heavy. They also last a good amount of time. I get about two and a half hours, and I like how they taste and smell a little like vanilla shortbread cookies. OM NOM NOM!
If you like moderately pigmented, shiny glosses that aren’t too shiny, I think you’ll like them too.
Along with pearly golden peach Soccer Mom, I also like hot pink Rebel (’cause I’m a rebel), purplish pink Editor-in-Chief (which I love!) and pinkish coral Artist.
Does anyone in your life have a birthday coming up? Because I think these would be great as gifts. I want to get Bestie for my gal pals, and Entrepreneur for a friend of mine who just started her own business.

I’m so with you on name thing! Not a rant at all – just realistic. These names are so refreshing. I like Artist. Am also loving the Hourglass glosses you recommended – got Topaz and Champagne, and they’re so pretty and comfy!
Those are nice shades. I just started wearing lipgloss again since I got the new Chanel gloss in Bourgeoisie. I had gotten a sample awhile ago and liked how it felt on my lips. It is not sticky and it is moisturizing. I also got the new Les Beiges Neutral eye shadow palette and can’t wait to play around with it. We are going to the Yankee game tomorrow afternoon, so I’ll give it a try.

YES, i cringe at some of the shade names I see on makeup. I don’t mind it here and there, it’s fun, but pretty much everything has an overly sexy name on it and it’s ridiculous. Glad other people feel the same way hahaha.
