Ok, so, I know this is technically a summer release, but I’m getting a strong Halloween vibe from Maybelline’s Color Show Polka Dots Nail Polish in Dotty ($3.99).
All we need now is a jack-o-lantern, a bag of Peanut M&Ms and a boom box looping The Monster Mash in the yard.
Dotty is one of five new Polka Dots Polishes dotting drugstore shelves, Ulta aisles and the Intertubes online.
STRONG halloween vibe! I’m sorry, this isn’t my thing, I so don’t like this!

HAHA! Very Halloween! If this is a single coat, it’s a bit less sheer than I’d imagined. If it’s more than one coat, the dots don’t look as clumpy as I’d imagined. So, I guess, either way, the formula looks like a winner. Maybe not the color combo, but that’ll be a matter of personal taste. 🙂

Happy Thursday, btw, from Redding. It’s HOT up here. I just got back from a run outside and it literally felt like I was running in an oven. Today’s high is supposed to be 107. At least it’s a dry heat…
Oh, you are totally a trooper! Or a trouper. Whichever one means more “kick a*s” in that sentence. 🙂 It was in the mid-90s last week and we were all like zombies. Of course, the super high humidity didn’t help, but I honestly don’t think I could function in 107 degrees, let alone run. You make me proud! 🙂

I agree definitely a Halloween vibe, but I would totally pick it up and save it. Did the glitter stay well while applying? That’s always my trouble with glitter when it gets all chunky.

It did a really good job of laying flat. Sometimes with polishes like these they get all clumpy and move all over the place, but these don’t do that. Not bad for $3.99!
Yeah, Halloween, but it’s still an awesome nail polish .. I thought the large chunks would lift, but all seems to sit well on the nail bed :-0

When I first saw this look, I immediately thought of halloween, but it’s still and awesome polish. Not so much a summer shade but definitely a fall shade.
I’ve been dying to see a close-up of the Maybelline dots polish ever since I saw an ad for them. Your photos are much more informative than the ad! I’m not sure about that color combo, but I must have one of the dot polishes. I just don’t have enough patience to do my own dots lol
