I was sitting in my car at a stoplight yesterday when I saw a kid skateboard across the street…WHILE TEXTING ON HIS PHONE.
How is that even possible? I can barely text sitting down. Shoot, I’m the person who has to literally stop in the middle of the sidewalk to send a text that takes her five minutes to type and says, “b right there” when she’s only 30 seconds from the destination!
If there were an Olympic event for Slowest, Lamest Texter Ever, I would take home the gold. 🙂
Since I frequently force the people around me to witness my lame attempts at texting, I might as well give them something interesting to look at.
That was the idea behind these nails, which I applied yesterday morning. This is Salon Perfect Nail Lacquer in Mermade of Money, from their new summer collection, Neon Pop.
I probably could’ve gotten away with wearing two layers, but I wanted complete and total opacity, so I went in for a third. I applied it with a base and top coat, but I still saw my first chip less than 24 hours later. Yup, a gnarly chip on my right hand.
Granted, I’m hard on my nails, but less than 24 hours? That’s kind of crazy-pants.
This was my first time wearing a Salon Perfect Nail Lacquer. They’re only $4 each, so I’ll give ’em another try… But the next one better last longer.
They’re available now online and at Walmart stores.

I think I must be jelous of your perfectly matched nails and phonecase!
I have a very similar blue from Loreal called French Riviera that I might just have to apply just because. Alas, my nails are not going to match my phonecase. You might be hoarding the extreme lame and slow texter spot, but I have dibs on the “so behind the times” one and I have never had a phonecase for my phones!
Btw, the wear time of these Loreal color riche nailpolishes sounds better than the salon perfect one and yet they cost around the same amount (3,90€). Might be a good option!
Nice shade on your nails! On me the color looks like, well, either hospital scrubs or something the hospital needs to scrub!
Being a typist at heart, in mind, and of every finger, I am thankful for the icons and the “suggested” words at the top of the text on my smartphone (no “i” yet – don’t have the life-style to support it)!
I’m a-gonna put Chanel Terano on later today – after any opportunities for chips occur. The weather changing from summer to fall might be affecting the lacquer though.

I’d say I’m ok fast at texting but I always feel like I come across as a bit unfriendly. I always keep it short and can’t seam to pull off that friendly, girly style to the text as all my friends.
I had a bling phone case and did my nails to match with decals once – it was great.
I also have a light blue from Essie called “find me an oasis” that was a gift from my manicurist. I wore that color almost all last summer, I loved it. It went with almost everything I own.
I think your nails look fab (sorry about the chip)and have to agree match the cell phone case to a T. LOVE IT1

my sis is 5 years younger, and she texts way faster than i.
my 5 year old nephew? already texts while gaming on his dad’s tablet. he’d be the one texting while … oh i don’t know, up to bat?

The chipping is no good but that color is everything on you! I looove it! I have to remind myself to stop clicking on your nail posts lol. They always make me want to get my nails done!

Every website I’ve been to looking for this certain nail polish says they’re at Walmart, but I’ve been to multiple stores and went on the website and haven’t seen it. Super disappointed.
