It’s that name, Sex Bomb. I dunno…it just makes me laugh! I mean, I get that they were trying to channel inner seductiveness and sultriness, but of course I’m going to picture weird bombs of sexiness raining from the sky (of course).
Pouty lips, BOOM! Bedroom eyes, BAM!
Or I think of a bad roll in the hay, LOL! And then consequently sneaking out the door at an ungodly hour for that early morning walk of shame with smeared eye makeup and kitten breath.

Oh, and then there’s the awkwardness of trying to explain the name to my mom…
Mom: “WHAT IS THIS SEX BOMB?”
Me: “Uh…well?”
Forgetting the name for a second, though, I think the colors are also cool. Very interesting, like that red on the far left. It looks rather frightening, doesn’t it? Well, it’s really not that scary at all. If you pop it on your lids very close to the lash line and do a black cat liner, I think it looks super cool.
And that black shadow on the far right does WERK! I like it smoked out along the lash lines with the taupe in the lid and the beige on the brow bone.
How very Angelina Jolie. Just add nude lips.

As for the shadows? They don’t really grab me by the arms and whisk me away, but I think I would actually get a ton of use out of something like this. My go-to eye has always been matte beige + satiny taupe + super shimmery accent shadow, so this one is right up my alley!
With a name like Sex Bomb, though… I don’t know. I was expecting more explosions 😛
They should call it Cherry Bomb!
Sex Bomb is a British expression, meaning, roughly, Bombshell. I am surprised butter London doesn’t have a nail color named SexBomb! I tell you what, it does sound funny to my ears, too. My daughter and I love to listen to the Tom JOnes’ song, SexBomb. When she was little she thought Tom was singing Sex Paw! meee-aaaooowww! and when I was little my favorite song was What’s new PussyCat by Tom JOnes. So we have to laugh at it when we hear it!
THat looks like such an incredibly useful selection of shades to have in one palette! You’ve got your matte mudes, a sparkly wash, a bright, fun colour and a versatile, pigmented black. I’m impressed!
Oooh, I love this palette! i need it, but I don’t think we get new NYX releases here. I think the red would be an amazing (very light) crease shade. BOOM!
