I always, always order a small shave ice with lilikoi and lychee syrup with vanilla ice cream, azuki beans and condensed milk whenever I go to Matsumoto Shave Ice on Oahu’s North Shore.

Sorry but I’m a purist…strawberry with ice cream for me! Have you tried Shimazu store on school street? They have tons of flavors like red velvet cake and stuff.

I loved the shaved ice but I admit I had fun with the coin-engraving souvenir machine at the store. xD

Whenever I’m on Oahu I have to go to Matsumoto’s for their shave ice. There’s a reason why there’s always a long line to get it and it’s worth the wait! (psst…don’t forget to get some Leonard’s malasadas!)

I’m so jealous! I love shave ice and haven’t been to Matsumoto’s in probably 5 years. I usually get lilikoi too, or coconut with adzuki beans – I haven’t tried the condensed milk before. I want one of those cute shave ice keychains!
I love this store, even though I’ve never been there. I love shave ice. We have a shop wher I live in Rockport, MA that has shave ice called Hula Moon. Not very authentic. I want one of those keychains, and I love the bumper stickers!!!
