I say this to myself all the time when I visit Ulta…because I’m usually going to get just one thing.
On my last trip it was Rita Hazan’s Root Concealer in Dark Brown/Black, because I desperately need to get my roots done, and I wanted to try something new/less expensive than this stuff.
Thirty minutes later I’m walking out with this…

Lots more products to test. I hope there’s at least one gem among ’em. It would be great if the L’Oreal palette works out to be a near-dupe for the UD Naked Palette. It looks like it has that potential.

Anyone else going to see the new Mad Max movie? I got talked into it by El Hub, so we’re going tonight. He’s very, very excited.
I haven’t seen any of the other movies, so I don’t really know what to expect, other than lots of muscle cars with guns and explosions.

I tried ELF makeup setting spray cause it was only $3, it’s okay. I’m looking for a good drugstore mascara that kind of does everything. My lashes are straight, not super thick or long so they need help but I’m tired of spending $30 for a mascara! Any ideas anyone?
The Max Factor False Lashes line is a good one. There are different colours and versions, but I love the dark brown one in the purple tube.

In Germany you can get it everywhere! I’m sorry to hear that you can’t find it anymore. I’m not sure if there are any German online shops that offer international delivery. I guess it depends on the country, although mostly they only offer international delivery for European countries. :-(!

As far as I know MaxFactor isn’t sold in the US and Covergirl isn’t sold in Europe because they’re part of the same brand. For a good drugstore mascara, try Covergirl’s Clump crusher (green tube) they can even get some falsies effect.
That’s so true, you can’t go to Ulta and pick up just one thing! I’m looking forward to hearing what you think of that palette. Although it’s kinda pricey for a drugstore one.
I visited Ulta today too! I already knew before going through that door that I wouldn’t be buying just 1 thing. Looking forward to your thoughts on the La Palette and setting spray.
I’ve tried the setting spray and I think it’s ok. I got the La Palette Nude 2 but I haven’t opened it yet. I’ve heard good things. Hope you can do a look with it
Are Ulta cotton pads any good? My favorite cotton rounds have just been “re-formulated” and now I hate them… I’ve been looking for soft, non-scratchy, good quality cotton pads for a while!
Personally, I love the CVS brand pillow cotton pads, they are awesome!

Ah I went to ULTA today. Got more cotton pads, a clearance nail polish that is such a 90’s shade and a Maybelline baby lips balm.
I wanted more but I had some restraint today.

I now get excited when you do ‘Ulta Hauls’, because we finally have an Ulta in our state! I love their body wash. 🙂
Didn’t go to Ulta, but DID get dragged to Mad Max with my hubby. Charlize is a badass! Not sure about the new Max – kinda prefer the OG.
Wow, your ULTA looks so big and fancy! I picked up one Urban Decay eyeshadow single from an ULTA not so long ago. The one that I go to is usually out of a lot of my favorites, and the testers are always missing 🙁

Lmao I don’t even go to Ulta with the intent of getting one thing anymore. I’ve become the same way with Target. I just don’t think it’s humanly possible to walk into those stores and not get sucked into an arm full of stuff you don’t need lol. I received the L’Oreal setting spray in my Target spring beauty box and I like it so far. Reminds me of my UD spray. I do think the price is a little high for DS but I’m glad it’s easy to catch a sale or coupon at least
For some reason I can make it out of Ulta sometimes empty handed. I love Ulta though , was thinking of going there today .But Sephora is another story! I always buy at least one thing from them when browsing. I’m curious about the Loreal nude palette, but I have enough nudes really. I need my Estee Lauder night serum and some facial wash so I’m heading to the mall. Think I’ll wait for the dvd of Mad Max , but it’s cool that you went with your hubby to check it out.

I was just there today looking for a liner for my waterline. I use the Stila pen for my upper lids and tightlining, but it doesn’t work at all for my lower waterlines. My eyes are very sensitive so I have a hard time finding eye products that don’t make my eyes water. I was all set to buy an Urban Decay liner pencil, but at the checkout I saw the Pur Minerals Double Ego liner. One side felt exactly like my beloved Stila pen, and the other side was a pencil that went on nice and dark. I bought the dark brown color and tried it on as soon as I got home, and so far, it seems to be exactly what I’ve been looking for! I haven’t liked any other Stila dupe that I’ve tried.
I also picked up the Tarte Showstopper palette. Will experiment with that one tomorrow!

I bought a bottle of CND top coat at Ulta last week. I like Ulta but the one closest to me has a weird vibe.
I just did an Ulta order on Friday! I’m in vacation-prep mode so I’m stocking up. I grabbed an It Cosmetics Tightliner mascara (I’m terrified of running out), a set of two dual-ended It Cosmetics shadow brushes that come with a cute case, and NYX blush in Taupe (hoping it can work for my brows and contour, Too Faced Milk Chocolate is a little too orange in my brows for some reason).

My husband sort of dragged me to the Mad Max movie, but I really liked it a lot. It’s not like the old movies, exactly – it’s actually surprisingly girly, in a weird way – although you have to have a tolerance for some gore, I think. I’ve heard people talk about bringing their mothers to it, which is not something you usually hear said about an action movie. How did you like it?
(I usually frankly avoid going into an Ulta store, because I feel like I won’t be able to control myself.)
