If you ever meet a photographer who says that they only have to take one or two pictures to get the right shot, they’re totally pulling your leg. On average, it takes me about 20, especially when a baby and/or a cat is involved.
Obviously, when we go trick-or-treating tonight, Connor isn’t gonna be able to eat her candy…and that’s where Mom comes in. 🙂 I hope she gets pounds of Snickers and Twix.
I had a mini Twix the other day, and it was phenomenal!
It’s been years since I had a Twix, which now, in retrospect, is a travesty.
She is adorable!! Hope she had fun on her first ? Halloween.
She is the cutest baby! I love the one of her kind of toppling over. It’s also nice that her big brother Tabs is helping.

These are great shots, Karen! Connor is so adorable! (So is Tabs, of course 😉 ) As far as I know, everyone has to take multiple shots in order to get something good — at least with digital photography, we’re not wasting film! Back it the day, color film was expensive to buy and to develop (and developing the colors properly was tricky, too — I could do slides, but color prints were beyond me!). I used to do black-and-white photos of textures found in nature, back in high school… would like to get back into photography, but I’m interested in color photography now, and want to get good at taking photos of people. That’s definitely the most challenging area of photography, I think!
Halloween candy LOL. Even when I was a kid, my brothers and sisters and I didn’t like half the stuff we got, and it would sit in our Halloween bags at the bottom of our closets until it was time to replace it with the Easter candy we didn’t like (anything marshmallow-y). We were weird, I know! But I loved Halloween right through high school, because of costuming and makeup, of course! I would volunteer to take my youngest sister trick-or-treating just so I could dress up 🙂
Connor’s little legs in those stripey pants is just killing me! So adorable. Hope it was a fun Halloween!
I handed out tons of candy (including Snickers and Twix!) but I kept some stashed away for later. 🙂

My sister as dramatic as she is, told me “She looks so cute that my cold heart gets warm when I see her”. As always my nieve looks so pretty and happy.
I tried to get a good pic of my son’s tabby wearing a patriotic top hat last night – LOL! She wasn’t moving because she was less than thrilled with it on her head and yet I still captured garbage. You are a wiz with the camera!! My baby was a monkey for his first Halloween too – ahhh so cute!

Karen, the adorableness of that baby girl just does NOT quit. I almost gasped at the first pic because it’s so perfect! I’m not usually one to gush over people’s babies, but you need to sign that cutie up for some kind of Most Photogenic Baby Ever contest. 🙂
PS I’m with you on the mini Twix. They and the single Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are pretty much the only candy I eat during the year (our Halloween candy lasts a long time).

And yes, Snickers are the best. Haven’t had one since last Halloween. Can’t say I’ve been perfectly good though. So frustrated at the vet’s office that I came home and ate a peanut butter cup. Not good.
