If I ever get to walk another red carpet, I’m bringing two things with me: 1) the Red Carpet Beautyblender (but only if I can squeeze it into one of those annoyingly tiny purses that ladies carry to gala events and awards shows) and 2) candy.
Handfuls of candy.
I’ll just have to squish the Red Carpet Beautyblender in next to my Mini Snickers, because if I learned anything at the Emmys last year, it’s to bring a sh*t-ton of Mini Snickers, because dammit — it’s absolutely mortifying when your tummy rumbles right as someone’s about to announce the Best Actor.
I’m just sayin’.

I know! It’s red! Officially, it’s supposed to be red carpet red, but I keep thinking “red lipstick.”

Yup, it’s exactly like the regular Beautyblender pictured here, a pink one I’ve had for a while.
Mine is a little long in the tooth, as you can see, and I think it’s time to give it a nice, long vacation…
Incidentally, the Beautyblenders are amaze-balls. Once you start using them, seriously, you can’t go back.
I primarily use mine to blend opaque foundations and concealers. It really softens up finishes for full-coverage products so you don’t end up with that caked-on, heavy look (’cause that ain’t cute).
Here’s the deal, though: you have to make sure it’s wet (with water or a fixing solution); otherwise, it can’t do its thing.
The Beautyblender is basically a sponge (non-latex) with “open cell structure” (air quotes). When you wet it, water fills the cells, preventing them from absorbing the products you’re wearing (foundation, concealer, whatever) when it touches your skin.
Just wet, squeeze out most of the water, and then stipple and pat to disperse and distribute your makeup.
It just makes everything look softer and takes the edge off. By pushing products around evenly, they look more like they’re a part of your skin. None of those telltale streaks you get with a flat foundation or kabuki brush.
If you’re going for a natural foundation and concealer look, it helps a ton. Highly recommended!
Cute! I use the pro beauty blender just because it is black and doesn’t show stains as easy. I heard a red one was coming out and I was assuming it was gonna be red for valentine’s day lol.

I don’t own a beauty blender, but I rarely wear foundation. I’ve used similar sponges before, and I love them.
Nars has a new foundation I want to try out.

Not kidding: the Real Techniques Miracle Sponge works just as well as the BeautyBlender, and it’s $14 cheaper ($6 versus $20). I use the flat side to do most of my face, the pointed side for nooks and crannies. Check it out!
I haven’t ever tried it, but the Tony v ones they came out with recently (I an suspecting it’s for concealers) is the one I’m eyeing. A) it’s cheaper B) I almost always only wear concealer and to blend that seamlessly would be a dream!
I really like the finish it leaves, although as a)I think is crazy expensive and b)I don’t wear full coverage foundations that often, mine doesn’t get that much use.
I’ve been through a very lazy phase recently, and I apply most of my foundations and tinted moisturizers with my hands!

I have a few beauty blenders, and they have been my go-to foundation/concealer applicator for I don’t know how long. They really are great applicators! I recently got a new set of MOTD Cosmetics brushes, though, and their foundation brush is making me want to disown my beauty blender- it really puts it to shame. It’s so good!
These have actually been at my Sephora inside Jcp for a few weeks now! They always seem to get stuff early!
Oooooh! Definitely need this in my life! I have the pink one and a purple one and recently bought the mini green ones. The minis I could probably live without as I don’t find myself reaching for them much, but the regular size I use EVERY DAY! One morning I was putting on foundation and forgot I had washed them the previous night in the kitchen and was too tired/lazy to go grab them and holy crap – there was such a significant difference in the way my makeup applied/looked!
I’m still a person who doesn’t have one. I always think about it but usually end up spending my money on lip products, lol.
I love my Beauty Blender! This red one is especially cute but I think I’ll be picking up the Pro one next. It looks like it doesn’t stain as easily

This red Beauty Blender looks like a great addition to my makeup tools. But, I don’t like when my Beauty Blenders stain easily, so I also want to try the Pro instead.
I dont have a beauty blender yet.. 🙁 .. but i have bought some makeup wedges to start with 😉 ..

I saw the red Beauty Blenders at Sephora this week! 🙂 I’ve been using my pink one for about 6 months now, and I just love it. I have ultra sensitive skin–seriously, all of the foundation brushes I’ve tried, including high end ones, irritate my skin. The Beauty Blender, however, feels heavenly and blends foundation like a dream! I’ll never use a brush again.
I’ve never tried a blender but, on a different note, I have been using Veil as a primer around my nose and chin and I think it really does make a difference as far as minimizing pores. And, so far, no breakouts. Yay!
I really should give into one of these at one point in my life but I never have.. I am always on the verge of doing so and then turn back to alternatives. I really like the Real Techniques one.. Although it does currently look like it needs a super long vacation too.
