It’s designed for applying a thin layer of face or cheek powder, but I really like using it with MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation. It lays product down in a smooth, non-streaky way that looks almost airbrushed.
Never tried a fan brush for foundation before, interesting idea 🙂
how do you apply foundation with this? do you put it on with your fingers and then blend it out with this?
I would have never thought to use it for foundation! I’d love to know how you apply with it, too.

Hi Karen, I’ve been reading your blog for about 2 months now and I looove it! I love your advice and the way you express yourself. The thing that got me most interested at first was that you and I share the same skin tone so I can really tell how a product will look on me. Now, I’m begging you to answer my following question since I’m very very frustrated…I also use MAC studio sculpt in NC40 and is a perfect match. It looks really natural on me and I love it, but when I take a picture…..my face looks completely white!!!! I’ve tried different cameras and same thing happens, WHY???? I promess you in person it looks good, but not in pictures. Please help!!!! Please!!!! I adore this foundation, but not the pics….
I’m sure someone has since told you the answer to this, but oh well.. 😛 the whiteness probably comes from SPF in something you’re wearing. Like maybe your finishing powder contains it, or if you wore sunscreen under your foundation. Hope this helps.
