In other news, I am so disappointed! When I saw this adorable red sequined bow tie at Petco, of course my first thought was, “Tabs is going to rock this. HARD!”
But then I realized that there’s absolutely no way it’ll fit around his neck. It’s way, way too small! And it’s “One size fits all,” which apparently is Petco code for “Not even remotely appropriate for plus-size kitties in the 18-20 pound range.”
Just an FYI…in the event your feline employer requests one for the big office party.
OMG, totally….I have a plus-sized tiger as well. Bailey, aka Mr. Boo, would rock the crap outta some of the accessories for cats but they are made for a 6-10 lb. cat. Sooo sad.
Maybe you can try Etsy for a custom made one?

Too bad about the bow tie! Tango weighs about the same as Tabs, and to be honest they’re bigger than some small dogs. Maybe looking at the doggie department will produce better results 😉

It’s so nice to see some plus size kitty’s on the internet! 🙂 2 out of my 3 cats are plus sized… 19 & 20 lbs each. Vet said they will have to go on a diet if they get any bigger. 🙁

I as well got a big ol’ tabby 🙂 . And he most definitely doesn’t fit in cat outfits either. So I get him dog ones, they fit better and they usually have better selection.

And as for those supposed “cat-size” collars, ties, and other neck and headwear? PFFFFFT! Not even CLOSE to accommodating a big… large… husky… erm, well, you know what I mean… OR super-fluffy boycat! (Which is why most of Boomie’s outfits and accessories are–gasp!–dog-size, medium. Blergh.)
Looks like I’m going to have to hit up the dog section o’ Petco. Shhh! Please don’t tell Tabs. If he finds out that his accessories aren’t custom couture he’ll freak out.
