Your nephew/my employer welcomed me home last night with disdainful side glances and faux disinterest.
Apparently, he was REALLY cranky about the Kauai kitties temporarily hogging the spotlight.
You know how he gets when he’s not the center of attention…
He made up for it this morning with headbutts and purring, although I suspect it was just a ploy to get treats.

I was away from my cats for about a month due to work earlier this year and I was ultra paranoid that they wouldn’t miss me and/or would have a complete personality change while I was gone. Luckily neither happened! And Tabs seems like he is very glad to see you!
I left my babies for a couple of days for vacation and they left me one poop on the carpet to show their displeasure.

He is SO cranky! My brother pet sat him while we were gone, so he’s not half as cranky as he could be, but still. He’s really not into mom at the moment.

We just went to PetCo and may have petted the adoptable kitties from Planned Pethood, including a pair of Marmie twins who were super playful and hilarious – I’m pretty sure Jiji would be unhappy if it hadn’t been for the kitty treats I brought back.
They had a Halloween kitty mermaid costume that might look good on Tabs…
Our cat would be standoffish when we would come home from vacation. It seemed like she was pissed we left her so long. The next day she would come around and be her normal self.
