Because sometimes you just need a soft, smokey brown kohl to wear on your lash and water lines, you know? — one that isn’t too red or gray and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Kohl Pencil in Sable by Topshop is just $8! It’s a kohl, so it’s not that long lasting. I do have to reapply every 4-5 hours or so, but it’s gloriously smooth and smudgy.
It’s available now online and at Topshop and Nordstrom stores.

I really like the shade and the color pay off! Too bad it doesn’t stay!
That’s a lovely brown kohl right there!
Can you recommend any pencil in this color that has longer staying power? Or at least won’t smudge down ala panda eyes.
That’s a nice brown for sure!
This is completely up my alley. As much as I fawn over complex makeup looks, I honestly cannot bother to wear eyeshadow unless it’s for a special occasion (years of wearing makeup, and I still suck at application), so smudged kohl has always been my go-to look.
Rimmel makes the most accesible version of kohl for a mere $4! Going to look into these Topshop pencils, though – the shades are different.
Topshop Kohls are on my list to try. I’d smudge them with powder to help them last longer, but I don’t have a proper smudgy liner so I think these are the way to go.
I love the slightly grey quality to the brown! We do have a TopShop store here… I wonder if they sell the makeup?
It’s too bad about the wear. It looks like a great smokey brown
lmao at HAY swatch! <3
Oooh, brown! 🙂 It’s pretty but I need my liners to stick like glue, so Kohls are not for me. I’m currently discouraged because I tried Demolition again this weekend and reconfirmed that it’s a bit too gray for me (and makes me look like an old hag). Does Roach have the same kind of glitter as Bourbon? I love Bourbon but it irritates my eyes. I guess I should just buy Whiskey in bulk and call it a year. 🙂
