Pastel blue nails are my jam. I’ve had my nails painted the same shade (Sugar Fix by Sally Hansen) for about a year now, but when I saw the limited edition Sweets For My Sweet set, mainly that powder blue, My Boy Lollipop, I pretty much lost it.
Pastel blue is my idea of a neutral. I wear a lot of black, grey, and jewel tones, and it serves as a simple surge of energy for any outfit. I like the way it contrasts with red lips, and I think it makes me look slightly tan.
It’s a color that, in my mind, flows through every season. It’s akin to clear skies at the beach during spring and summer and those chilly, but sunny, days during the colder months.
My Boy Lollipop is a couple shades lighter than my beloved Sugar Fix. For my latest mani, I painted three thin coats of it without a base or top coat, and the formula lasted four solid days with no chipping.
Sugar Fix typically lasts me seven days without chipping, but four is still really, really good.
For such light colors, none of the shades in this set streak on my nails, and each coat dries quickly.
My favorite shades from Sweets For My Sweet are Candy Girl (pastel pink), All Day Sucker (pastel lavender), My Boy Lollipop (pastel blue), and Sweet Pea (pastel green).
The six polishes in this collection look lovely together, and I’ve been getting a ton of compliments on my Jordan almond-inspired manicure.
I haven’t painted my nails this many colors at the same time since I was a kid, and I’m actually loving it. It gives me shades of pastel goth, and I’m really digging the subtle shift between the shades on each nail.
Do you have a color you reach for all year, or do your tastes change with the seasons?
I’m not huge on pastels (I would sooner choose the SH color over the DL one) but four days without chipping and no top coat? Yowza. That’s impressive! I might have to finally check out some of the other shades! I also have to ask what exactly you used for a background in that first beautiful photo, if you don’t mind? They look like those chocolate easter eggs!
I’m not sure if I would wear one of these colors on all of my nails, but I did like having them all on at once. The orange shade looked terrible on me, but other than that, they’re all pretty rad. I’d definitely recommend checking out any Deborah Lippmann shades.
The candies are jordan almonds – almonds with a hard sugar shell. At least, that’s what I think the shell is. As soon as I had these colors on my nails I was like, “Hold the phone. They look like candy.” Then I went out and snatched up all the jordan almonds I could find!
Sugar Fix is also my jam because my fave color is blue. But my tastes change constantly & I’m always switching colors. This looks like such a lovely spring release & I could see myself wearing all of them. Wearing them all at the same time, rocking a Skittles mani, might be in my future. Great post! Being incredibly fair most pastels look off on me. I have a pastel pink that’s got a bight white base that looks ok. Because it’s almost white and barely pink, it makes my skin look much more tanned then it is which is actually nice in the summer.
I’m really fair too! Glitter polishes and jewel tones were pretty much my go-to’s for a long time. With lighter colors, I find that blue/green tones suit me best, while pink/orange tones make me look… pink. If you’re looking to switch things up, I’d suggest trying brighter pastels like Sugar Fix or Mintage from Sally Hansen, not ones that are more white-based. Sometimes I like to go into CVS/Walgreens and paint a nail or two, and live with that for a couple days to check out the formula, and whether or not I dig the color.
Very pretty! These colors just scream Easter to me. Recently, I’ve returned to an old favorite blue shade of mine- OPI’s Russian Navy.

Oh so tempting! That first photo is eye catching. I wear similar colour schemed clothes, from the sounds of it – I’m going to give the powder blue a try and see how it jazzes things up a bit. My go-to is typically a grey/tan/beige variation.
Try it, and let me know how it goes! I get compliments on Sugar Fix all. the. time. Grey’s usually make me look corpse-like or sickly, so lucky you! I also love contrasting my nail color with my ring, which has a deep coral colored stone in it. I find that it gives a subtle pop to an outfit. Otherwise, I’m pretty simple and cloaked in black.
