Honestly, I have no idea why I look so serious in all of these pictures, because while I took them I was thinking about…
KITTENS! 🙂
One of the many perks of decluttering your office is finding gems like this copy of a Japanese magazine devoted entirely to cats.
Can I read Japanese? No. But since cats are the international language of love, things like this find their way into my life (I actually got it from this amazing bookstore in Japantown). I’m keeping it forever, obviously. It’s staying far, far away from the purge pile.
My makeup here was inspired by the visuals for Chanel Summer 2015 Collection Méditerranée Collection, which is available now at Chanel counters and online.
Gah! — I love this look. Now, if I could only figure out how to pose with my hands by face in a way that doesn’t make me look like I have E.T. fingers.

Love this collection. So classy but so fresh. I’m really digging that purple eyeliner that you have on the lower water line, it’s so cool. By the way, what foundation do you use Karen? It looks so beautifully luminous.

Thanks for noticing! I jump around and use different foundations depending on how my skin is acting. Today I tried a new combo: MAC Lightful C Tinted Cream (it’s basically a BB cream that blurs pores, adds radiance and evens out the skin) all over my face with Dior Nudeskin on the areas where I wanted more coverage (cheeks, around my nose and chin). I set everything with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. Let me know if you have any questions or if you need any foundation recs! 🙂
OOO what a pretty look! I love Caroube so much! Now I am tempted to get Laurier Rose as well (not that I should buy more eyeshadow sticks but you know how this goes)!

I am TOTALLY obsessed with Caroube. How have you been wearing it? I’m thinking of grabbing a backup next time I visit the counter… I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
Oh I’ve been doing the lazy thing, just a wash of Caroube all over my lid with a bit of matte shade in the outer corners for definition. Will definitely try to pair it with a colorful liner when I have the chance tho!

Thank you for that. 🙂 I’m doing much better this week. A big part of it is finally, FINALLY cleaning out my office. I’ve done a lot of de-cluttering and I also ordered a shelving system which arrived today — YAY! I feel like once my office is in shape I’ll be able to deal with the rest of my life. LOL It’s weird but true.

I’m all about colorful lower lash lines. 🙂 What makeup did you wear today?
Kind of had to rush through my makeup today because I had a Dr appt at 7am . I wore Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation set with Chanel loose powder. Hourglass Luminous Flush blush and Mac Taupe for contouring. On eyes: Diorshow Fusion Mono shadow in Mirror under my eyebrows, Nars Phoebie on the lids with a gold shadow from Lorac Unzipped Gold palette in the crease and blended out. Oh and lots of concealer- Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector with Maybelline Fit Me concealer. L’oreal Miss Manga Rock on the lashes. I just bought it so I’m testing it out. Got dressed to go but fatigue kept me home. Couldn’t sleep last night. However, it’s on my to-do list for tomorrow. Can you believe I beat my face to go out & went nowhere….lol. It also was a rainy, dreary day today. Tomorrow promises sunshine & mani(s) =)
OMG ME TOO. I have been stuck in the house all day! Maybe this is the universe telling me I need to go out for ice cream so I can show off this eyeliner. LOL
