I’d forgotten I was out of contact lens solution when I got the urge to play with the new Urban Decay 15-Year Anniversary Palette last night, and I remembered just about the time I finished this look with blue, green, brown and gold.
So I went to Target, LOL! I felt a little crazy town cruising the store with gold glitter on my lower lash line — it’s probably a better look for da club than eye care on aisle three — and I’m pretty sure I startled the cashier, but whatcha gonna do? Sometimes you just need contact lens solution AND glitter. 🙂

Do you ever run errands wearing makeup looks you only intended to wear around the house? Sometimes I can’t help myself. If I like the way a look turns out, it seems like a shame not to take it outside, even if outside is just to Target or Trader Joe’s.

I agree Karen, sometimes we just go crazy for ‘that’ glitter in life. I absolutely loved this look. We don’t have UD in India :(. But will try to replicate with whatever I have, I so loved it.

UD’s expanded into lots of foreign markets in the last couple of years, so who knows — maybe they’ll show up in India!
I think that is a beautiful look and not at all over the top for running errands in. A few days ago I did a very graphic and dark purple eye with an Armani eyes to kill shadow and then I had to go to the shop to get milk….the cashier asked me if I was off to a party – on sunday afternoon:-)

I bought the palette last week, and while I loved the colors, I was kind of put off by the packaging – bulky and tacky. It was a bit too, um, “bling-y” for me.

And I answered the door with a bare face and BRIGHT red lipstick (while wearing sweats) once a couple weeks ago…the door-to-door sales guy standing on the other side seemed very confused. But sometimes you just need to have fun! 😀 Rock that glitter in the aisles 🙂

I finally got around to watching True Blood last night. I liked it, but there were a lot of different storylines. I’m most interested in the ones with the witches and I’m curious to see what happens to Eric!

Such eye look is not really OTT! I think it’s very pretty, and I have worn brighter eye makeup (sometimes) and gone out to do my grocery shopping. It’s usually after I have done a look for my blog.

I would wear rainbow eye makeup to school, so I am not afraid to wear crazy looks to the store. One time a drunk guy hung out of a bar window as I was passing by (with my UD Peace and Ransom eye makeup) and shouted at me “Too much makeup, ma!” I was like, whatever. 😛
Clearly that guy had one too many vodka and Redbulls, as I’m positive you looked beautiful. 🙂
Ahem, this is all too familiar. Last week I had just got a box from Sephora and was excitedly trying all my new goodies out. After I had a bright blue eye, complete with hot pink cheeks and lips (a bit like what you have above, but not as tasteful and moderated :P), my Blackberry went off reminding me I had to go to work. Oops. Never scrubbed down my face so fast in my life, heehee.

You can never go wrong with a little glitter in your life, even if it is to Target! Besides, I would much rather see people over-dressed than under-dressed when I’m out picking up my Cheez-its and Milkbones (for me and for Enzo, respectively). I love seeing people with nicely done makeup so I can sneak a peek and some inspiration for myself. 🙂
True, true. I do love seeing glammed-up folks at Target and TJ’s. It makes life a little more exciting.

Oh, I think you look glitterific! I feel oddly self-conscious just wearing colored liner or (gasp) lipstick, so I totally understand how, when you’re wearing out-of-the-ordinary-for-you makeup, it feel like everyone is giving you looks. This is pretty, though, and you can rock any look – even in aisle 3. 🙂
I want this palette so badly!! I say glitter it up all the time! One day I may want to go with a subtle speckle of glitter here and there before I head out to the grocery store or decide to go all out with bold glittery lids.. Wear your glitter with pride and confidence!
I almost always wear a full face of makeup, even on weekends! I’ve gone to little league baseball games with glitter on my eyes 🙂
