Let’s do something a little different today, shall we?
I’ve only ever tried two products from the Giorgio Armani Beauty range, which is definitely not enough to write one of my usual brand spotlight posts. Those two products are so good, though, that I feel like I can’t not somehow tell you about them.
I’m talking about the Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in 400 The Red and the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadow in 5 Gold Blitz. They’ve been around for years now, but if you’ve never tried them before, here’s what you’ve been missing out on.
Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in 400 The Red ($38)
I think the Giorgio Armani Lip Maestros were the first lipsticks in liquid form I’d ever heard of, but they couldn’t be any more different from the moisture-sucking liquid lipsticks we’re so used to seeing these days.
The Lip Maestros are so creamy, and comfy, and lush…
Applying shade 400 The Red on my lips feels like coating them in the softest velvet drape, if that makes any sense… It really makes me understand what a ‘velvet finish’ truly is. Besides, its amount of sheen and point of red are just right.
Honestly, gurl, I think this lipstick is pure perfection.
Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadow in 5 Gold Blitz ($35)
Speaking of pure perfection…
Aside from the hefty price tag, there’s nothing less than perfect about the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadow in 5 Gold Blitz. It is the creamiest, most pigmented, easiest to blend eyeshadow I’ve ever tried.
Its gorgeous metallic finish makes your lids look like they’re coated in golden foil – a look they keep for hours, and hours, and hours…
For today’s face I’ve applied 05 Gold Blitz on my mobile lids with my finger and blended it out past the crease with a MAC 217 Blending Brush. Then I’ve applied it along my lower lashlines with a MAC 219 Pencil Brush and diffused the edge with ZOEVA’s 231 Luxe Petit Crease brush.

- Foundation and concealers — Diego Dalla Palma 2 W.W. Mattifying Foundation in 42 Avorio Caldo, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-3, and Sisley Phyto Cernes Eclat Eye Concealer in 2
- Highlighter — Revlon Photoready Skinlights in 100 Bare Light
- Finishing powder — Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light
- Bronzer — Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder SPF 15 in 50
- Eyeliner — Essence Gel Eye Pencil Waterproof in 06 Cocoa Brown
- Mascara — PUPA Vamp! in 100 Extra Black
- Brows — NABLA Brow Divine in Uranus
This is the makeup I would wear if I were a spy and needed to obtain classified information from the enemy using my womanly wiles… I obviously have no idea of how intelligence agencies work other than what I’ve seen in the movies, LOL!
But yeah, that should at least make you understand how this look makes me feel…
That is, dangerously beautiful.

Anyways, more realistically, I’d probably wear this makeup to a beach party, paired with a white summery dress and a sunkissed complexion. I think it would be a fresh, modern way to wear such a classic shade of red lipstick.
Hmmmm, thinking about it, this last scenario is not any more realistic than the previous one, actually… I’m not exactly the biggest partygoer these days, nam sayin’?
Oh well, I’ll just wear it to go see the next big spy movie!

I have perfumes that make me feel incredibly beautiful, but makeup no. The reality of the mirror stops that. I love many of the sheer Armani lipsticks, so I need to try this one. That really is a perfect red and looks beautiful on you. The one liquid lipstick I tried never really dried down, stayed wet and made my lips feel like they were encased in goop. I haven’t tried another one since. Perhaps Armani will change my mind about liquid lipsticks.
This one doesn’t completely dry down like matte liquid lipsticks, but the feeling on the lips is amazing, I think.
Do you have any perfume recommendations? I’m just getting back into fragrance(it made me sick for the longest time)and am open to suggestions!
Thais how I felt with fragrances,too. Now I have disovered Byredo, Serge Lutens and Jo Malone work for me; I don’t have headache any more. You should definetely give them a try!

I love Armani. I have several blushes, powders, foundations, and shadows from Amani. I’m also a lover of about 50% of their fragrance line, commercial or Privé. Most of my makeup brushes are Armani too.
Wow that lipstick is hot! Because of Armani’s price tags I’ve also only tried very few products. Wait, only one actually! It’s the Eye Tint, and you should sooo try it. I think you’d love it since you like to use a single color as an all over wash. I have it in a shade called Senso and it’s so multi-dimensional!

I also think you look like a Bond girl here. Usually red lipstick, a la Ruby Woo, makes me feel beautifully dangerous, though I’d love to up the ante & get an Armani anything ? And wearing a liquid lipstick that doesn’t FEEL like a liquid lipstick is sooooo appealing ☺️
