Since dropping his self-titled debut back in 1994, Usher has sold more than 40 million albums and taken home five Grammies to go with his six-pack abs.
There was a while there where you couldn’t go 15 minutes listening to pop radio without hearing one of his songs. I like a few of ’em (sooo guilty of bumping Love in this Club on full blast!)… I’m looking forward to his upcoming CD, Monster, which comes out this December.
Like so many other mega-star singers, Usher branched out into acting (remember the cinematic masterpiece known as She’s All That?), product marketing, and even purchased a stake in a professional sports team (the Cleveland Cavaliers). Not content to stop there, though, he’s also released several scents for ladies and gents.
Which leads us to today’s celebrity fragrance giveaway. Today’s features one of the crooner’s fragrances for women.
The prize
One lucky lady will take home a bottle of Usher Raymond’s (that’s his real name) UR Eau de Parfum (a $68 value), a fruity floral with notes of peach nectar, white freesia, jasmine, violet leaf, pink peony, honeysuckle, musk, coconut milk and praline.
It’ll have you quoting Usher in no time: “Yeah, yeah, yeah… yeah, yeah. Yeah.” 🙂

My fave 90’s song is Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. It gives me chills down my spine (the good kind!) every time I hear it and it remembers me of when my first true love played it on the violin for me during a blackout when we didn’t have anything else to do. Sounds so cheesy, but it was very romantic. 🙂

Wow, this is a really hard question because the 90s sum up my childhood/ adolescence! I do have a soft spot for Missy Elliott’s “Supa Dupa Fly” too (beep beep. how got the keys to the jeep? vrooooooommmmm.)lol, but one really good memory I have involves “The Boy is Mine” by Brandy and Monica. I always wanted to be Monica in the video!
I also remember when Usher first came out with “You Make Me Wanna” and “My Way.” CLASSIC.

Wow…so 90’s high school would have been more on the counting crows, smashing pumpkins, bush vibe. Umm gavin and Glycerine…let’s just say I was in love with him pre-gwen. 90’s college moved into the biggie, missy elliot, outkast, Jay Z, Big Pun etc. I’m going with a favorite as “Hypnotize” because I remember being in college and dancing in frat house basements to that song…lots of memories.
