    Today, I went to CVS to pick up some Robitussin for my mom, and Blake the cute cashier guy struck up a conversation with me. He told me he was in the Navy as a nuclear engineer but recently got discharged after an injury. I couldn’t tell if he was trying to flirt with me or if he was just making convo, but he kind of made my night. Teehee 😛

    Happy Boxing Day! On my own, I would be doomed in the zombie apocalypse. However, I have two big (and protective) dogs, and I think they’d keep me safe. Unless dogs can become zombies, then I’d be in trouble.

    I take my shoes off as soon as I get in the door at my own house, but not in the one I grew up in. Personally, I think it makes more sense to take them off – it keeps everything cleaner!

    I’ve been looking FOREVER for a new wallet…how did you know?! hahahaha! I don’t really have a holiday treat, I just like to try a bit of everything! But I never understood why fruit cakes got such a bad rep, they’re actually delicious! (if they’re not too dry!) My favorite animal…well I LOVE dogs. I mean, I will go pet a stranger’s dog whenever possible, which isn’t good bc I live in a city full of dog owners. And don’t even get me started on the one day a dog wanted me to pet her so bad, but I was in a hurry…I still can’t get her beady little eyes out of my head. 🙁 I would definitely be the first to go during the zombie apocalypse, bc A.) I hate running. B.) I’m scared shitless by anything scary (seriously, I can’t even watch movie trailers for scary movies). Family time at home = no makeup. To me, it’s not worth the time and products used! I’m Asian, so no shoes in the house! Santa, A.K.A. my mom, got me a pink polka dotted bath robe! I’m excited to try it out, I wear robes on a daily basis! Ciao, my friend!

    All I wanted to do to day was exchange this shirt my mother got my husband since it was too small – but I ended up shopping for myself in the process!! Armani Exchange was having their annual “Ciao” Sale. Their sale items get an additional 40% off and I just could not hold back!! I found this cute peplum pencil skirt I have been wanting to get my hands on for the longest and I am so glad I walked into that store and got my size!! Considering I am a size zero – size nothing really, usually this size goes like hot pancakes. Lucky day!!

    Such a pretty wallet! The makeup I wore during family time this year was lipstick. I thought it would be a good time to have my mom help me sort through my lipstick collection to see what was flattering and what could go. My dad kept passing through the dining room, looking at my makeup all over the table and shaking his head. He was smiling though 😉 It was actually a really fun time, and my mom shared some memories of her and her mother’s favorite lipstick wearing memories. We talked about how rarely women wear bold lipstick anymore, and I lamented the fact that it seems like it’s out of place to wear red lipstick during the day. She said that it didn’t matter, and that if it made me feel happy and confident, I should do it anyway. I wore Edward Bess Eternal Passion out later that day to run a last minute Christmas errand, and on my way into the store someone held the door open for me, and when I smiled and said thank you they said, “Beautiful smile. I like your lipstick.”

    In a zombie apocalypse I would like to think I would last a good two to three weeks before I finally get taken out. I’m not sure I would fare as well as the remaining cast of The Walking Dead unless I had some serious help.

    Right now my favorite animals are rabbits because my bunny just had babies and they are so cute. 🙂

    How do you think you’d fare in the zombie apocalypse?? Hmm good question! Out in the boonies, good, in the city…uh not so good! We are actually playing The Walking Dead game on the Playstation…which I am obssessed with and I am NOT a video game person…It has episodes so its not all about killing you make decisions and those affect how the game is going to be played…I played it for 3 hours last nite!

    My favorite holiday treat is Grandma cookies!! My Grandma makes them every year and they are AMAZING! They are like a shortbread with cinnamon sugar cookie and she only makes them at Christmas time and everyone fights over them in them the family, it gets kinda crazy!

    No shoes in the house here. I married into a Filipino family so we take off our shoes visiting the relatives, too. Good tradition. and we usually bring warm slippers or fuzzy socks with us to pad around in when we visit the relatives. and I like wearing makeup when I am hanging around, just a much lighter face than if I go to work, like tinted moisturizer, colored lip balm, a bit of mascara. Makes me “feel human”, like my first cup of coffee. 🙂

    Hi Karen, I would love to give this wallet to my Nanay who was diagnosed of ovarian cancer this month. Since I was a kid every time she gives me a coin purse, she always puts a dollar inside- with that said I would like to continue our tradition and give the cute wallet to her.
