1. MAC Retro Matte Lipstick in Quite the Standout
I love wearing this bright orangey warm red — think vintage vibes! I think it pairs well with tan, taupe or brown tops.

2. Athleta Cozy Karma Hoodie Sweatshirt in Clover Berry
On sale right meow! Plus, it has pockets!

3. Clare V Petite Moyen in Rouge
I have one Clare V purse (the Gosee Clutch) and I loooove it. The leather is soft and the shape is timeless. Anywho, I wouldn’t mind if this bright red cutie made its way into my life!

4. Clare V Heavy Tee
While we’re on the subject of Clare V, I think this red tee would definitely be in heavy rotation in my closet.

5. Chuck Taylor All Star Love High Top Sneaker
These are so cute! The purr-fect shade of bright red and the hearts are so cute. I think these would be cute worn with wide-legged pants.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Happy Tuesday!

Oh no! I might need to get that MAC lipstick…and those red Chuck Taylors. I see you are continuing to let those grays shine, Karen. Good on ya!
Hi Pamela,
Ya know, I have mixed feelings about the gray. On one hand, it’s free. Nature’s highlights, ha ha! On the other hand, I’m getting kinda tired of it. Anywho, get the lipstick and wear it with the Chucks!
I guess everyone is going “unfiltered” these days so letting your real hair do its real thing is the norm. (Coming from a woman who wears wigs a la Bey, that doesn’t mean much.) But a mix of real and not-so-real is a nice balance.
I love a mix of a little bit of everything. 🙂 I will probably go back to coloring my hair if and when I have the energy, time and funds! I quit doing it because I couldn’t bear going to the salon and being in the chair so frequently. But who knows? Maybe that feeling will change when Connor doesn’t need me as much.
That orangey red lipstick really suits you, I think it’s the red plus warmth that does it.
It’s blowing a gale here in theUK and guess who’s lying on my lap cuddled up in a faux fur throw plus my knitting..???
Thank you!
Your cozy scenario sounds purr-fect. How’s your knitting going? What project are you doing?
I’m knitting a fair isle sleeveless slip over by Marie Wallin, which has been challenging in that I’ve had to pay a LOT of attention, but the colours are great.
That project sounds beautiful and timeless. My co-worker is really into knitting and crochet; I ran into her the other day and she was knitting a beanie for her adult son! Of course I asked her if she was going to put a pom-pom on top, LOL!
LOVE your beautiful grays! So elegant and on trend (finally!) go, gurl!
Thanks Betty! 🙂
Hi Betty, are those your feet in those beautiful ballet shoes?
Nah, Sarah, but I do love to dance and anything and everything related to it!
You should have said yes and that it’s from your debut at The Met – I wouldn’t have known any different!
Haha 😜
I was wondering the same thing! 🙂
