- Do you really need another lipstick?
- Why do you wear so much makeup?
- Why do you want bangs?
- Do you really need to carry “all that stuff” in your purse just to leave the house?
- How much did you spend on your hair?
- What the heck is the point of wearing perfume?
- What happened to your eyebrows?
- Did you unplug the flat iron/curling iron? (Side note: I always unplug it, but inevitably if El Hub asks me this question and we’re on the road, I’ll make him drive back so I can double check it, otherwise I’ll whip myself into a frenzy wondering if I did.)
- Do you really need to wear sunscreen when we’re not at the beach?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

P.S. TGIF!

I am going to forward this list to my husband🤣. Especially number one…he believes all red lipsticks are the same🙄.
As far as the flat/iron and curling iron being unplugged….my husband got a smart plug that I can turn on/off from my phone. Now we do not have to turn around and come home to check. He’s super geeky/techy and is always adding “smart” home items. Sometimes I love the updates (like the smart plug) and sometimes they drive me nuts (like the bathroom light sensor that will turn the lights off with no movement—like in the middle of a shower🤪).
Haha, my husband must be color blind because I was once wearing a beige to taupe nail polish and he told me it was coral. He also thinks red is red is red when it comes to lipstick.
I need to look into a smart plug and a smart thermostat, because we’ll be half way to the airport and I’ll remember I didn’t turn the A/C or heat to a vacation temperature.
I told my husband I did not want a smart thermostat…that it was lazy not to just walk to the hallway. Guess who is always using it from bed at night…me 🤣. I use it ALL the time.
And yes…my husband is color blind too. All my lipsticks are the same to him.
#1. No I don’t NEED one, but if I want it, it’s mine.
#2. No one has ever asked me this. I wear makeup maybe four days out of the month since the beginning of the pandemic. If that much.
#3. I don’t. I’ve learned my lesson on this one.
#4. Yes. I would die without my inhaler and I need a wallet, phone, keys and various glasses to see. Granted when I find six different lippies in my bag, it’s time to clear it out a bit.
#5. None of your beeswax how much I pay my stylist.
#6. It’s calming and soothing and if something or someone stinks I can just snuff my wrist instead. It also brings me great joy!
#7. Yeah, I don’t touch mine. Wish the makeup artists at counters would resist the urge to touch mine, too.
#8. I don’t use hot irons at all. And the hair dryer gets unplugged, the cord wound up and it’s stored under the sink. And it’s not like my husband would ask me something like that.
#9. Yes. I’m certain of this every time someone compliments me on my skin. Also I’m about one shade darker than a sheet of writing paper, so yeah, I need sunscreen. Always.
Sorry I couldn’t resist answering them all. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
“What happened to your eyebrows?” I’d pay attention to that one. A lot of people in the last 10 years have been really overdoing their eyebrows. Someday they’ll look back at their photos and say, “what was I thinking?” I’ve left mine mostly natural, though lately I’ve used some brow mascara to cover the scant white hairs that are starting to show up. No one has ever asked me, “what happened to your eyebrows?”
“How much did you spend on your hair?” reminds me when my mother confessed (many years later) she paid around $250.00 to get her hair colored and permed, I think, back in the 1970s, when we just didn’t have that kind of money laying around. I was shocked, since that was a LOT of money to most people at that time. She said she didn’t know in advance it would cost that much, and she had to pay it.
#1 – I’m not a big lipstick girl but I have multiple lip balms in every bag
#2 – I have never heard this because I am a minimalist with make up. My focus now is skin care, splurging on facials and getting lash lifts – helpful since all of a sudden all my mascaras are irritating my eyes. Ugh!
#3 – currently growing out my hair so will decide later on bangs. I usually have some sort of bang due to a scar on my forehead
#4 – the only makeup I carry around is lip balm/gloss
#5 – never been asked this but women (usually older than me) have asked me ‘does your husband allow you to have short hair?’ Like WTF???
#6 – not a big perfume girl
#7 – I have never had anyone touch my brows. I’m lucky that they are full and well shaped naturally. I just tidy them. I didn’t do the ultra thin, high arch thing or the giant, blocky drawn on look
#8 – when I used one, I would always check 2-3 times
#9 – Yes!!
Right! Nacho biznatch is what I say! If it makes you feel beautiful or more confident or makes you happy and doesn’t bother anyone else, please and by all means, express yourself or buy that extra lipstick. In the big scheme of things, $30 won’t matter but feeling confident does matter. Go for it!
