My inner cat lady mistakenly assumed that kitty-print gloves would be more conducive to typing.
Yup, we live and learn…
I broke down and got those Betsey Johnson black and gray leopard-print knit gloves we talked about earlier this week. You remember — I was tempted the first time I saw them, but I forgot the gift card I wanted to use at home.
At the time I figured that if the universe wanted me to have fingerless leopard gloves in my life, the gloves would still be at Nordstrom on my next visit, and lo-and-behold, they were! 🙂
Now, you might be wondering why I’m wearing them inside the house to type. Well…why not? I’m in the kitchen, which is the coldest room in the house, and it’s particularly chilly this morning (I’m wearing a parka and gloves to make coffee and type).
But that’s not even the funniest part. Get this: the thermostat is set for 65 degrees…so on the global scheme of things, it really ain’t that cold in here, haha! I’m just not designed for cold.

Although I do love having a clean bathroom…) and some Christmas shopping, and hopefully I’ll have time to film one or two new videos. I’ve really been enjoying the video thing so far and want to keep exploring.

I live in small town Canada so the nearest Starbucks is an hour away. We do, of course, have a Tim Hortons where I love to get Iced Cappuccinos! I also add in a flavor shot of hazelnut or vanilla, and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, its GOOD!!!!!!!
My Starbucks drink of choice is a chai tea latte! Hot in the winter and iced in the summer.

My parents have a cottage on the river banks. They have had it ever since I was 15. We have atv’s so it was really easy to find the most peaceful place. Anyway my favorite place was a cliff that overlooked the river you can see the whole family. It was so beautiful.

I’m a Twizzlers girl at the movies – always make myself sick, and never learn…
well I was not exactly on Radio program, but there was a conversation with me live on a Radio program last thursday. I won a intro quiz had to guess the name of the song and artist and sms to the radio. The next morning they call the winner, I was the winner, well our puppies made themselves present cause they where barking at the guy who check the water meter in our house, and the Dogs are inside, so Yes you could hear them clearly barking on the radio LIVE when I picked up the phone, both of them, it was very funny actually. The liked that in the radio station 🙂 now our puppies are kind of famous hehehe.
Ohhh ~ I could really use a mocha just about now! It is freezing.

When I am on the go, my makeup routine consists of throwing on some bb cream, mascara, Revlon’s lip butter in Red Velvet and a light dusting of bronzer. And nothing keeps me cozy in winter than ordering a tall chai latte with soy from Starbucks.

Believe it or not, my favorite Starbucks drink is a Decaf Pike’s Place, which is their medium roast. I only put a little bit of cream in it, but no sugar. I absolutely love it!! It makes me feel happy, energized, and comforted at the same time. I’m getting so accustomed to only drinking Starbucks coffee now. I think I might be getting a little spoiled!! Simonetta gloves from Italy (available in the US too) were the best and very affordable leather gloves I bought in Florence recently. Madova gloves were a close second.

I’ve never been on a radio show, but my brother has, my grandma has a local radio program with her friend and it is a german radio program, funny story, the show she is on has a rival on the same station (most of the other shows are other non german ethnic programs) and despite them all being in their 70’s they have quite the rivalry. 🙂
Even though I feel completely obnoxious ordering this at Starbucks, I love me a venti misto decaf with a shot of sugar free vanilla. So delicious! 🙂

My hands down fave Starbucks drink is a Viente Vanilla Latte, extra foam, sprinkle a little cinnamon and vanilla powder on top…and it may sound weird but I ask them to make it at 140 degrees. It’s referred to usually as “drinkable”. (they normally brew their drinks to 160 degrees but for me I always end up waiting then for it to cool off a little). 🙂

Anywhere can be peaceful when you meditate but for a natural location, I love a small cascading waterfall & swimming spot that is remote and only accessible by mountain bike that I like because it is truly beautiful.

My essential, everyday throw-on-and-go makeup product is a sheer red lip balm/tint/whatever. A sheer red is hard to mess up and doesn’t look too “done,” but it still makes a simple face look more polished.
When I go to the movies I usually get a pretzel or frozen yoghurt or share popcorn with my friends.

My favorite “on-the-go” makeup product is the bobbi brown touch up stick! It is the size of a lipstick and I use it during the day to cover up redness or imperfections that through the day become visible! It takes a swipe and a blend and-voila! It is my absolute purse must have!
I’ve been on radio AND TV. I had my own weekly show for kids on radio when I was around 6/7yrs old. And took part in soooo many TV game shows…won most of them too. What I really enjoyed about that was seeing the makeip artist open his/her vanity case and seeing all the makeup in it. And of course, having my makeup done….hehe.. always a fun thing.

I’m sensitive to cold as well, so I’m frequently bundled up in my house. I’ve read that it’s good to keep your environment fairly cool though, as it amps up the metabolism!

On my days off, I usually use a BB cream. It’s faster than doing ‘the works’ in terms of foundation, plus it’s supposed to have skincare in it – so I fell like it’s better for my skin.
I just started going to this cool watch-n-dine movie theater a few neighborhoods away from me (I live in Brooklyn, NY!). It’s AWESOME but has totally skewed view on the typical movie-going experience! I entered a simple girl wanting a small Coke and some popcorn… and left wishing every theater offered pork tacos with plum sauce and St Germain drinks! Yum… so good.

Got a sample of Smashbox CC Cream last week & took the plunge & bought the full bottle today. I wore the cc cream today to take family pics & got the greatest compliment at the makeup counter! Even the SA at the Sephora where I purchased it was amazed at my makeup.
And the other artists thought I did a wonderful job with my makeup. Woooo hooo for finally finding a product that amps up the wow factor in my makeup ☺️

When I’m at the movies, I love buying popcorn and adding extra spices to it. It’s also fun to buy candy from the drugstore ahead of time (like Sour Patch Kids or Skittles), since everything at the movie theater is so expensive! Oh, and a HUGE pop to go with all of that.

I feel your cold! The real feel here today is a high of minus 7. The only positives are that the wind isn’t too bad and the sun is shining. We got a foot or so of snow this weekend so it’s beautiful. Just cold! And I like the house to be at 70 in the winter, so I’d be suited up if it was in the 60s, too. 🙂

I always love throwing in some red and hot pink lipstick in my purse because I can mix them up to double up as a cream blush. I also always love to have some mini mascara and lip balm handy.
Karen I rather have your cold weather than the one I have last week and a half. Over 3-4 inches thick of ice outside with the average temp. of 30 from Thursday through Wednesday. Luckly its warm now but man last week and a half was tough.

Actually I modeled for years and was on a local Detroit morning show Kelly and Co. I did a commercial spot for a local station and a magazine spread in an offshoot of black elegance magazine.
I have to admit that sometimes I go to the movies just for the popcorn, which is why I try not to go too often. Microwave popcorn just doesn’t taste the same, even the “extra butter” varieties.

When the weather is nice I usually try to do it with a vanilla bean frappucino but when it’s cold I go for a latte; caramel brulee or any with toffee is my current favorite.
