Greetings and good morning! Happy caturday/post-Haloween! 🙂
So, I learned two valuable lessons last night…
First, I learned that tiaras should be worn much more often than once a year, and second, I learned that Jakey-poo can look like a total psycho, and I know this because I saw Nightcrawler last night, which I liked, but yeah, it’s intense and disturbing. Jake plays a lowlife Los Angeles petty criminal (with more than a few screws loose) who realizes that he has a penchant for driving muscle cars and filming violent news.
Seemed appropriate for Halloween…
When we got home, I needed to soothe my soul, so some Gilmore Girls.
In other news, no trick-or-treaters for me. 🙁 They may have stopped by while we were at the movie, but on the bright side, now I have a tub filled with candy.
I hope you did something fun last night. Did you stay in or go out?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

So no trick or treaters here either. It was raining and really cold outside so me and hubby went to dinner but I doubt anyone stopped in the meantime so I also have a giant Costco bag filled with candy…
What are your weekend plans? I am working right now but later tonight it’s bachelorette party time!!
This Halloween, I was off of work & went along with my boyfriend’s idea of going ice skating in costume. I dressed up as Bailey, the King’s mascot which happens to be a lion & was SO fun to do the makeup and hair for, while he dressed up as an LA King’s hockey player. I had a blast & would do it all over again!
Hope you had a fun Halloween, Karen! I was kind of disappointed by the serious lack of trick or treaters this year. Four. ONLY FOUR! 😐 On the bright side, we got to eat all the leftover Snickers bars ourselves, mwahahaha 🙂 And we did it while watching Tucker & Dale vs Evil.
Oh man. The SO and I put glowy eyes and the fog machine in the bushes, got out the cat lasers, and proceeded to find out that kids and cats both chase laser dots.
We had a lot fewer trick-or-treaters than normal (our neighborhood is great for that stuff), so at the end of the night I was standing in the driveway shouting about how I wasn’t taking this candy back inside, so anyone left should come get it.
Then I got to put together a 3 ft velociraptor.
The last time I wore false lashes was NEVER. I don’t think I’ll ever be competent enough to do that…
not a false lashes girl either but really hoping to start getting into them !
I’ve never worn false lashes.
Dr pepper? No! Diet Dr Pepper? Heck yeah!
coriwestphal at msn dot com
Bonbons all the way. Nimm 2 are my favorite.
And Dr. Pepper is a big no-no, as well as cherry coke. Fanta Mango, back in the days, was my go-to soft drink.
Diet Dr. Pepper – yes, yes, a thousand times yes!
Haven’t started christmas shipping yet but I should! Stores get crazy! Online shopping is the way to go.
Diet Dr. Pepper, preferably with a little Captain Morgan’s…
Last time I wore false lashes was last night for Halloween!
I stayed in and watched The Shining on Halloween….it still scres the crap out of me!!
Hope you had an excellent Halloween! 🙂
This Halloween my daughter and I decided to go watch “The Book of life”, it was so Cute!! Afterwards we did a little trick or treating – Good Times with Princess Elsa and I 🙂
I plan on starting my Christmas shopping this week.
We went to two Halloween parties for the kids. We have enough candy to last a few months!
I wore false lashes Thursday night, always forget how much I love them until I whip out a new pair!
I would love to learn hot to put on lashes.
*how
Def don’t start Christmas shopping until Thanksgiving…
OMG! I can’t wait for the sephora sale!!
Dr. Pepper no! But Smackers dr. pepper yes!
I decided to answer ALL the questions you listed 🙂
What did you do for Halloween?
— My boyfriend and I went to see Dracula, The Original Vampire Play 🙂
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
— I’ve been asking people what they want, but I have not purchased anything yet.
Something you’d like to learn?
— Sign language!
Macarons or bonbons?
— I can’t say I’ve had either :/
Last time you wore false lashes?
— Last night!
Dr. Pepper: yes or no?
— Absolutely YES!
I love you so much Karen! You’re the reason I discovered Face and Body which changed my life (Overly dramatic, maybe). I fell into Hourglass Dim Light on my own, but I definitely peeped the post! Mac ProLongwear Concealer was all you too! Those are holy grail products for a flawless face. Now everyone at work asks me to do their makeup, and people on the street stare at me and ask me if I’m wearing makeup. Thank you guru!
I only wore false lashes one time. I still don’t know how to put it on.
Also… I’m getting pink hair!!!! Woo!!! *I figured I prob needed to comment with my “intenet name” just to be safe*
no to dr. pepper but dr. pepper bonebell lipbalm was my favourite in 8th grade 😉
The last time I wore false lashes was last night for Halloween! Two sets of ’em!
Went trick-or-treating with my nieces last night — a Hogwarts student, a butterfly, a zombie prom queen, and a “high school senior” (read: no costume). Had a blast, and the girls got a major haul!
Macaroons!
No. I hate dr.pepper I think it tastes like medicine.
Only one group of trick r treaters came to my apartment… My husband was in the shower, so it looked like I was just home alone in a cat costume, with my cat. I think the kids felt bad for me!
I love macarons
What’s the best pale nude eyeshadow?
I got engaged for Halloween!
I started a holiday shopping list but haven’t started buying yet. Oh heck yes to Dr. Pepper!
Always yes to Dr. Pepper
Macarons!!!
I went trick or treating this Halloween with my baby sister!
I’d like to learn playing guitar
I took my kids out trick or treating last night, and I’m almost done my Christmas shopping. Just a couple things left to get.
I haven’t made a huge effort with my Halloween costumes the past few years or done an easily recognizable one for a while either. This year…I did the Crow. 🙂 It was so much fun and really intriguing too. When I did the eyes, it just looked like a somewhat intense smokey eye, when I did the black lips, it just looked like stereotypical Goth. When I added in the lines through the eyes and at the corners of the mouth…that’s when the resemblance came through…and things got spooky. The makeup for that character is so clever because it’s such a little detail but it makes up so much of the eeriness about him. Anyway, hope everyone had fun this Halloween whatever you got up to and whatever getup you were in. 🙂
I stayed in, I wore a masquerade mask to work, that was enough. 🙂
We went trick or treating last night. It was fun!
I’d loveeee to learn how to sew 😀 and bake cakes properly (because I always wing it XD)
The last time I wore false lashes was a couple months ago. It was my first time using them but I quickly realized they weren’t for me because they kept hitting my glasses, oh well.
I watched YouTube videos on Halloween!
I’ve never shopped at Sephora before! But it looks like they carry awesome products.
Never wore false eyelashes !
I took my daughter to a Halloween party and then trick-or-treating.
Mhm…
Did nothing for holloween, it was rainy and miserable and I sat there with my cat eating Peanut Butter M&M’s while marathoning CSI.
It’s my birthday! Woohoo! Stayed in last night, rained for the first time in a year!
Definitely Dr. Pepper.
Dr. Pepper always and forever, but Dr. Pepper 10! That’s the one! Happy November one and all!
I went trick or treating with the kids
Dear Karen
This is going to be my first post on your blog.
I absolutely love love love your feed that comes to my mail.
I love looking at your pictures. But there is something that I know for sure 🙂 Even if I apply all that makeup,I still would not look half as good as you do.
Well I am based in south of France right now due to hubby’s project and I am trying to grasp the language as much and as fast as I can. Language can be a big barrier in this part of the world. So whenever I need to go to shopping (read beauty shopping), I am struck as my french as of now is very limited. So, I know who to consult first. Its your blog and your reviews 🙂 I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the great work that you do.You have been my secret shopping pal all this while.
As for halloween, its still not celebrated in a big way here.
So nothing much for me but we did do pumpkin carving with my 5 yr old and dress him up as a spiderman. He loves being a spiderman 🙂
Big hugs coming your way from France 🙂
Hi kriti!
I just wanted to say thank you (merci!) for your nice comment. I’m happy to be your virtual shopping pal, and I’m glad you like visiting the blog. 🙂 You’re very lucky to be spending time in such a beautiful country. I hope you get to practice your French, and I look forward to chatting with you more in the comments.
Love the Smashbox on the rocks eyeshadow, very tempted to look for it at Sephora this season. As always, you look gorgeous!
I havent started Xmas shopping yet, but I have started brainstorming 😛
no trick or treating this year plus candy was entirely too expensive
I didn’t get to do anything for Halloween since our husky puppy was in the animal hospital and racked up a big bill! So now we are broke till next pay day haha Hope everyone else has a good weekend!
Now that Halloween is over, it’s full swing into the holidays. Hope I find time to enjoy the season and not stress out!
It rained on Halloween so we didn’t even get any trick or treaters. It was a sad one. ):
I bought a pair of false lashes for my wedding and wimped out on wearing them. So now they sit in my makeup bag, making me feel guilty.
I took my kids trick or treating and after 2 blocks they were ready to go home. Lol. I have a ton of candy and not one person came by:/
I have never worn false lashes
I just bought individual lashes, half lashes and full lashes. The only problem is that I have no idea how to apply them.
So I was a flapper. Yes, originally, I know, but I had the dress, a cheap handband was only $10, and you know I can’t pass up the opportunity to do a faux bob, wear Mary-Janes, and do a glamorous smoky eye and vampy red lip. Basically, lots of fun was had. Possibly better than was had AT the college parties I went to, which were… classic college parties. That is, a hot mess.
My husband’s birthday is Halloween, so we spent the night celebrating that instead 🙂
No, I haven’t begin my Christmas shopping… too soon !
In one month I think ^^
bon-bons, for sure.
I last wore false lashes in Vegas 🙂
Macarons… they’re so pretty.
I really wish i could sew and knit so i can make and alter my own clothes
Macarons always!
I feel so broke…wish I could afford all the beautiful Holiday makeup.
I love Dr. Pepper, especially Cherry Dr. Pepper. I have never worn false eye lashes. took the kiddos trick or treating and then out to dinner.
•What did you do for Halloween? Balanced the checkbook, paid bills and got my bathroom ready for workers to come install a new toilet. Nothing glamorous or fun!
•Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Yes!
•Something you’d like to learn? Russian
•Macarons or bonbons? Neither
•Last time you wore false lashes? I was probably a teenager experimenting …. a LONG time ago
•Dr. Pepper: yes or no? No

What did you do for Halloween?
At my afternoon school we did a Halloween party with the kids I was a hybrid black cat with bat wings. Some kids trough I was Maleficent

And after work me and hubby did celebrate it together at home, with movies and something to eat,
Dr. Pepper: yes or no? dr pepper yes
have toy tried ginger beer? If you haven’t you should.
I would like to learn how to do other people’s makeup. I think it would be fun to be able to work part-time at a makeup store or counter helping other people look their best!
Yes, started my Christmas shopping. I got some tea, ginger snaps, roasted chickpeas, and other healthy snacks for my fitness friend 🙂
macarons!!
Yes to Dr. Pepper with loads of ice.
Oh, bonbons all the way 🙂
Oh yes I always start shopping for Christmas two months in advance! I know what my family members like and so I buy everything for a better price and put it away :). I like Dr Pepper but no I don’ celebrate Halloween. Have a great day sweetie!
I spent time with my nephew and family and gave out candy on Halloween.
It was my mom’s birthday.
I love Dr Pepper, it’s probably my favorite “regular” soda. I’m truly a Diet Coke addict though! I’m trying to cut back, I know it’s bad for me.
macarrons, bonbons, love them all!!
I had a sad Halloween – I was sick, and I had to fill out a bunch of job applications that were due on Saturday. Boo (but not in the fun way)!
I wish I could get my hands on the LORAC Mega Pro palette.
I actually went to a party last night, which is weird for me. Aditmittesly, it was just a physics major party. Haha. I hope your halloween was lovely and candy filled!
I have not only started Christmas shopping, but I am officially finished! My goal is to have it done by Thanksgiving but this year I had it done before Halloween!
Dr. Pepper? NO thanks!
No trick or treating, but I did bring candy for my class.
I’m so excited for the Sephora VIB sale! I already created a list of things to buy. What do you recommend? 🙂
Macarons over bonbons is what I choose as I love the crispiness of a macaron.
No trick or treating for me. Both kids sick with ear infections.
I sat at home and looked at my family eat candy.
We have a fun time trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.
Macaroons!!! <3 🙂
The last time i wore false lashes was last night for halloween…got soo many compliments on them! Friends of our hosted their annual halloween party but because its gets bigger every year they hosted it at one of the local bars!
Dr Pepper is a big no no…not a fan of drinking something that tastes like cough syrup.
Dr. Pepper is a big YES! I usually go with Diet, though.
I tried false lashes once and it was terrible. 😀
Yes to Dr. Pepper. Although I prefer the similar, but vastly superior Pibb Xtra.
i dressed up as mary poppins and went to a house party
No trick-or-treaters here either, but I am okay with (lots of) leftover candy!
Yes to Dr. Pepper!
I took my daughters trick or treating for 3 hours. I dressed up as a cat!
We hung out with the parents of my son’s friend while the boys trick or treated! Pizza and Beer – Yeah!
And I kind of started shopping for Christmas. Our pre-lit tree died last year, so I went shopping for a new one since in about 2 weeks they will all ready be picked over!!!
Macarons please!
Went to a fun Halloween party on Friday!
Yes to Dr. Pepper!
Yes to Diet Dr. Pepper!! Just like the real thing!! 😛
I usually start my Christmas Shopping on Black Friday.
Yes I’ve started on my Christmas gifts hope to get a bunch more done these next weeks..
Bought a crazy big bunch of candy, but no trick or treaters before we left for dinner. Drove along the beach to Palm Beach, had EXCELLENT sushi at a little place called Imoto, then cruised back home, windows open to the first cool breezes of the season!
I spent Halloween at home giving out candy to trick or treaters. We only get a dozen or so kids but I buy extra treats so we don’t run out! 😉
Christmas? Christmas!? Nope, Christmas does not enter my radar until after Thanksgiving. Well, except for the occasional purchase of pine/evergreen scented candles 😉
this was my favorite Halloween to date. It was my daughters first official Halloween. She’s three and it was her first time dressing up and going trick or treating. Watching her embrace this tradition was amazing. She caught on to the concept quickly haha and was sneaking candy throughout the evening. I loved it. She loved. A Great Halloween it was!
Hi Karen, I just love your take on Courtney Love’s Hole album. Classic! In response to one of your questions, I’d prefer macarons to bonbons just because I feel less guilty to eating more macarons because they aren’t as sweet as bonbons.
I’m a Diet Dr. Pepper girl and I would love to learn Spanish!
i didn’t do anythign special for halloween!
We ate too much candy for halloween!
I stepped out of my lipstick box today & purchased Mac Viva Glam I lipstick for the holiday season. It is a nice red 😉 Also, ice cold cherry Dr. Pepper is yum!
Winning would be extra nice this week while I’m in Toronto with tons of sephoras around for perusing 😉
Last time I wore falsies – I don’t wear falsies 😉 UD Perversion mascara does the falsies for me 😛
you know, I don’t know if I can honestly comment on the Dr. Pepper question – it has been so long it’s probably not fair. I remember not liking it, though. It does kind of taste a little like root beer, but not enough like it…… you know?
I loooove false lashes!
This year was my first year handing out candy for Halloween! Omgsh I had class until 5pm and I couldn’t get home until 7:30pm from the horrendous traffic. I thought I had missed out on giving out candy! I was so disappointed when I got home and it was super rainy so I didn’t think people would show up until the first kid came and rang the doorbell! I was super excited haha later on I had quite a number of kids come to trick or treat! It was awesome and hilarious to interact with the kids.
For Halloween I went to church where we had a festival for our youth group ages 1-17. There was: food, games, and even a talent show. After 11pm it was a shut-in/slumber party for all that wanted to stay.
I was a cat
Sephora and unicorns!!! Love it
LOVE Dr Pepper! I even love the smell of it.I remember excitedly buying the Dr Pepper Lip Smackers as a kid and being soo disappointed that it didn’t smell anything like the actual thing.
Last time I wore false lashes was yesterday for Halloween. I went as Cleopatra.
Hi karen, hope you are having a great weekend. I took my 4 year old, he was a green ninja. And my 4 month old daughter was Snow White. I love dr pepper! It’s probably one of my favorites.
I started my christmas shopping in the beggining of the year. What I like to do is, whenever I see something that would do a great present for someone, or a nice deal or sale, I buy it right away and save it for christmas!
Macarons or bonbons? Neither. :p It’s cheesecake or tiramisu.
Definitely YES to Dr. Pepper. I need to be drinking the diet but sometimes I crave the regular like WHOA!
I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet.
I have actually started Christmas shopping! I didn’t realize I was starting so soon though. I have anxiety and I get too nervous to go out to the stores around Christmas when so many other people are out so I try to get it all done online and I placed my first order on Thursday!
I wore false eyelashes today. I wanted to practice since my fiance and I are having engagement pictures taken soon. Today was a cold and rainy day. One of the pages feel off pretty soon after we went out. I then decided to take the other one off. Will have to continue practicing putting them on.
The last time I wore false lashes, was today! I love them
I didn’t do anything for Halloween (I own a black cat, does that count?). Halloween isn’t really a thing here. I did go out for dinner with husband and inlaws to Jamie’s Italian (Jamie Oliver). YUMMMMM!!!! I want to go again. Right now. Even though it’s not even lunch time yet.
I stayed home and gave candy to the whole SEVEN! trick or treeters who stopped by….all while being dressed to the t as a female Han Solo…It was awesome 🙂
Thanks so much for the giveaway!
We stayed in for Halloween, pigged out on candy and watched movies all night!
I stayed in for Halloween, we don’t have any trick or treaters in our neighborhood, so it was a quiet night just catching up on some taped TV shows.
Dr Pepper
YES
Dr Pepper is a total YES.
I dressed up as draculara monster high for Halloween last night. I wore fake eyelashes, tons of makeup. I looked awesome! If you want to see pics @budgetbeautysite_cstone412cs on Instagram. It was fun! My 8 yr old daughter went as a monster high, laguna blue! Every year we try to match our costumes…..last year we were the witches from hocus pocus!
If love to win this so I can get so,e lipstick that unor ally wouldn’t buy or some face wash.
I love Dr.pepper. It’s my first choice when it comes to soda.
I went to haunted houses this Halloween.
No to Dr. Pepper. I’ve tried it so many times and just don’t like the taste.
Dr. Pepper? Nop, much better diet Coke 😉
trying to get my hands on the lorac meg pro palette. just might have to sell my soul for that thing lol
I went to a party and dressed up as the black widow from the avengers
No to Dr. Pepper! I’ve always thought it tasted like medicine. Have a great weekend!
Dr. Pepper is my favorite soda!
Unfortunately I have a bad cold so I just stayed home and handed out candy to trick or treaters.
Macarons! I just had some today and they were delicious. Pistachio is my favorite flavor.
I stayed at home for Halloween as well! It isn’t very big in my country!
I went to a halloween party dressed as Minnie Mouse.
Dr Pepper and Dr Pepper lip balm– yes and yes
For Halloween we too my almost two year old, dressed like Minnie Mouse, trick or treating. Spent time with family and ate chili and yes to Dr. Pepper.
I Haven not worn lashes in years because i always found it hard to apply. But my lashes are so short and sad i’ve considered trying to add lashes in my make up routine again.
Macaroons for sure, anything coconut! No thank you to Dr. Pepper though. Your posts are so cute, always enjoy reading. Happy Weekend.
i looooove the cat mugs in the next post down. and your peonies:)
Well well weeeellll. I would have to say that it has been a loooooong time since I wore lashes. Mine aren’t too bad and I really don’t get along well with falsies. What I do want to try soon is individual lashes – I have heard they are much easier to work with.
I love anything sweet, you never have to ask if I want dessert!
Ohh exciting! Especially as it coincides with Sephora’s annual Friends & Family sale!
Bonbons, definitely..
I worked as a monster in a haunted house on Halloween!
Dr. Pepper is my favorite.
I’ve never actually worn false eyelashes, but that’s one of my beauty resolutions for 2015. I really want to learn how to put them on. It can’t be that hard. With a little practice, I know I can do it!
For Halloween I put on some fancy makeup (MAC Ruby Woo with some neutral eyes) and the hubby and I handed out candy!
I wore false lashes this past week for kicks…and it was a sticky, lopsided disaster, as usual. I just can’t apply them properly, but I refuse to give up trying!
I was sad it was so warm in October. But now that it is cooler, I do not remember how to dress for this temperature or where all my warmer clothes are.
Sounds like everyone loves Dr. Pepper. I’m good there too, but I like it Diet, or even better, Dr. Pepper Ten!
For Halloween we had a fun movie night and Dr. Pepper: Absolutely yes!
We stayed in last night. Our company Halloween party was the previous weekend so we already had our Halloween fun 🙂
I want to learn Spanish 😀
We do the same thing every year for Halloween: put on our Starfleet uniforms and hand out candy for the hundreds of neighborhood kids that come by. Live long and prosper!
I’d love to learn Italian 😀
Bonbons definitely and definitely a yes to Dr Pepper. To be honest, I only tried it recently and it was a moment of my brain saying “ahhhhh no wonder people talk about liking this stuff” haha!
Nope not started Christmas shopping yet – honestly I’m the kind of person who looks at all the sales and new stuff in stores early to get for myself and do actual Christmas shopping much much much later (as in maybe the week of Christmas… ) 😛
Gilmore Girls going up on Netflix was my favorite thing about October :3
We only had 6 trick or treaters. I probably could’ve given them a whole bag of candy each.
I have started my Christmas shopping. Yay!!
Macarons 5ever!
Took a friend out for his birthday on Halloween!
What was your Halloween costume and what did you do?
What were you for halloween and what did you do??
I desperately need to learn swimming. Feel terrible when I’m in a holiday and everyone around me is swimming and all I do is splash around in the shallow waters with all the kiddies or sit at the pool bar with a drink 🙁
Dr. Pepper? For me, it’s a no. My dad, however, swears by it.
For Halloween I cheered at my college’s football game and was dressed as a fairy!!
I would love to learn how to do a cut crease! I am 38 and my eyes look hooded a little until mid afternoon. I like a deep matte powder in there. just never have figured out the whole “cut crease” method and not sure if it would be too harsh. Im up for trying tho!
I’ve being false eyelashes for ages, as they’re very popular with girls here in Thailand. Love them. Feel a bit naked without now 🙂
For Halloween, my wife and I spent the day shopping, just having fun. We ended up at Ulta, and I spent WAY too much time swatching every new product in site. But that is what visiting the beauty stores is all about!
I shop for christmas gifts all year round 🙂
Still can’t figure out what to get for my mother-in-law
What’s a bonbon?? Lol and dr. Pepper YASSSSSSSSSS
I stay home and watch scarry movies
Yes to Dr. Pepper! My favourite soda but I haven’t had it in years
I started my Christmas shopping but have a long way to go!
Last time you wore false lashes? — The last time I wore falsies was when I was a bridesmaid at a friend’s wedding. I got my face done at a salon and the makeup artist put it on me and I felt faaaaancy. I have a few pairs at home that I play around with every once in a while when I have nowhere to go to on weekends. But I have never successfully applied them on my own and rocked them outside the house. Still practicing!
I would like to learn how how to sew. I want to make clothes and home decor items. Yes to Dr.Pepper. I like the real sugar version in the glass bottles. No HFCS or fake sweeteners for me.
I have never worn false eyelashes!
I literally started Christmas shopping in July… 😀
I would love to learn how to surf! There are no big waves where I live so I think I’ll give windsurfing a chance next summer 😉
Hi there,
Here in Isreal we don’t have halloween and i think is’s a shame.
I love this holiday..
So to feel that special feeling, i have a classic horror movies and have some popcorn with it.
Happy holiday.
Dr Pepper!!!!!!!
Macaroons for sure. But chocolate and peanut butter get me every time.
I have never worn false lashes but I would love too learn…
I’ve started my Christmas shopping, but still lots to do!
I didn’t do anything for Halloween because it’s not really celebrated where I live. So instead I was just super relieved that my busy work week was over and I had a relaxing shower. 😀
My dogs and I spent Halloween with my mom and a big pink stuffed monkey named Pinky. That was the dog’s “treat”.
No Dr Pepper for me, tastes like toothpaste! Yuck!
We watched a horror movie for Halloween.
I haven’t begin to shop for Christmas presents. I have to get on it! It will be here soon!
I ended up missing most of Halloween night because of my job. I work at an indie kitchenware store that holds public and private cooking classes, and we had a private Halloween-themed class on Halloween. It was a lot more fun than door duty!
NO TO DR PEPPER / COKE INSTEAD
I have bought one thing for Christmas.
Hi Karen
For Halloween I spent time with my family, we had a fun movie night with children because our youngest Sofia was ill and definitely macarons, we love it 🙂
Nice holiday from Slovakia 🙂
I am a Texas girl, so of course, yes to Dr. Pepper!
I’m finished with most of my Christmas shopping already.
Hi Karen
On Halloween I spent my time with my family and watched a funny movie with children because our youngest Sofia was ill.
Definitely maccarons, we all love it. 🙂
Nice holidays from Slovakia 🙂
I have not started Christmas shoppong but will soon. I love your blog!
absolutely YES for dr. pepper! (actually, i drink diet dr. pepper, because it’s the best tasting diet soda!)
i don’t usually start christmas shopping until black friday, but i DID order a nifty little gift for my daughter’s teacher this week, because it was too good of a deal to pass up and i’m really excited about it.
I handed out candy to trick or treaters and got takeout for Halloween – all in all, it was a nice, relaxing night.
I worked until 11pm on Halloween, so my husband was in charge of giving out candy – he said the number of kids was about the same as the last few years, which wasn’t a ton.
And then I brought a little black kitten home on 11/1!
For Halloween I was setting up for a wedding and attending the rehearsal dinner.
Spent Halloween on the road – 500+ mile roadtrip to check out a college preview day for my son… Upside, we don’t have bags of leftover Halloween candy that I would end up eating all by myself!
I took my daughter trick or treating with her friends. It was so cold I’m still thawing out!
Got dressed up & went to 2 parties, then got burritos in the middle of the night. And Dr. Pepper: I don’t have soda often, but yeah!
There were some trick or treaters this year.. I’d say only about 20 though, not too many, still have a huge bowl of chocolate bars left over. I only stayed in for a couple of hours and then we went out to visit my brother and his girlfriend that night, it was a fun day!
I have never worn false eyelashes, and yet have always wanted to!
i have my Christmas shopping half done. i shop throughout the year when i see a good sale.
Totally started Christmas shopping… even a little for myself LOL! But this year my Mom will make out like a bandit because her birthday is right around the corner so I’m stocking up on a few holiday sets for her!
We have not started Christmas shopping yet!
I want to learn to play the piano.
I cannot stand Dr. Pepper-I got a fountain drink once that was Dr. Pepper instead of Pepsi and it scarred me for life.
A “no” from me regarding Dr. Pepper!
My boyfriend and I had a Walking Dead marathon for Halloween. Also, I vote no on Dr Pepper.
Everyone says it’s easy, but I’d love to learn how to do a cut crease on my eye.
LOVE Dr. Pepper! My favorite is Cherry Dr. Pepper!!
Don’t remind me of Christmas shopping!
Need to start christmas shopping before things get too crazy.
And yes to Dr. Pepper!
Hope you have an awesome week 🙂
No shopping this year I am the caretaker to my brother and he is stage 4 cancer and so I have no time so trying to win gifts for my daughters and this would be one that they would love!! thanks for the chance and Hope you have a wonderful day.
Not a Dr. Pepper fan.
Finally getting some nice cool/cold weather and then my heater breaks down on me!!
Macarons, of course! 😀
On Halloween I went to school and work, then went grocery shopping. But, after that my housemate and I stopped in at a diner and listened to some Halloween themed blues music and had some milkshakes. After that we watched Hocus Pocus. Overall it was a pretty good day, but no trick or treaters for us either!
yes to dr. pepper!
DR PEPPER – Hell yeah! I always get it at the drive-in for some reason! Maybe the sugar and caffeine help me stay awake for the late movie
I dressed as a health care professional for Halloween. I have not started my Christmas shopping yet. Macarons. Never wore false lashes. No Dr Pepper thank you.
I handed out candy for halloween!
I’ve never worn false lashes! I can’t help but assume that I will end up with my eyelids stuck together
I’ve actually done most of my Christmas shopping!!! First time ever to be ahead of the rush.
I dressed up as Cheryl/Carol from “Archer” and went out with my friends.
I have started my holiday shopping – but that’s because I can never resist a good gift, even if it is 10 months early!
Macaroons and Dr. Pepper yes!
I love your blog, Karen! I check it regularly to get the scoop on new beauty releases – I spend waaaay more than I should on beauty items! I just love trying new things and being experimental with makeup. I know sign language (my best friend is an ASL certified translator – at 21 years old!), and she actually taught me how to sign Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop” over a year ago – it was hilarious learning how to sign it! Anyways, it’s a great skill to learn with little ones – I have a two year old and I started signing with him when he was a little less than a year old so he could communicate with me before he could talk, and he hardly ever cried because he could clearly communicate his needs at such a young age. my husband was super supportive and learned how to sign too, which is awesome!
I would love to learn an easy eye routine for hooded eyes.
I would like to learn how to speak French, the language of love <3
we didn’t get many trick or treaters either!! I think this might have more to do with the fact that it was raining on halloween but still 🙁
It has taken me a ridiculously amount of time to have figured out how to comment on your post! It just feels so good to be able to type about w/e I want! Although, I did have to scroll up to your suggestions b/c I all of the sudden felt put on the spot and had nothing to say. Which is weird. Anyways, I wore false lashes recently b/c I found a pair of the Natual Looking ELF lashes at a GAS STATION (it also had one of the 2 ELF brushes I like there, the blush brush, which I think would be awful for blush, but is great for setting undereye concealer with powder or great to have in your purse w/a good translucent for under your eyes or anywhere, so I have 1 at my vanity, 1 in my purse and 1 in my kit!), but anyways, these $1 ELF lashes are really nice! I put them on late at night when I got home, just to see if I liked them, and girl, they were the type of lashes that are just perfect! Try them in an unsung ELF Heroes along w/the Blush Brush and the Eyeshadow “C” Brush, which is all I use on my own browbone highlight. I don’t keep that one in my kit, b/c 1 ELF brush is pushing it before they think I’m a cheapskate MUA. 🙂 I am so glad I can now comment on your posts, Karen! I love your blog and I really don’t get into blogs, well, except yours. <3
We went to a Halloween parade at my kid’s school and did a little Trick or Treating.
Dr Pepper used to be a yes, until I found out prune juice was involved. I remember the old Dr. Pepper ads, they were fantastic! “I’m a Pepper he’s a pepper she’s a pepper, wouldn’t you like to be a Pepper, too?” jingle is stuck in my head now!
I dressed up as a zombie school girl 🙂
Macarons!
I was in San Francisco for Halloween. It was surprisingly very quiet in the city!
Hung out at home and hid from trick or treaters because I forgot to buy candy 🙁
i had a scary movie marathon with my friends for halloween. love the unicorns, btw!
What did you do for Halloween? Worked then made and decorated Halloween themed cupcakes with my sister :). It’s a bit of a tradition for us to bake and decorate together for every holiday.
Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Ummm…I plead the fifth.
Something you’d like to learn? Guitar
Macarons or bonbons? I’m in the mood for macaroons right now.

What did you do for Halloween? I got sick and had to stay at home studying form my final exams
My Halloween was spent doing a week’s worth of math homework, all in one sitting, so I don’t have to do it again for another week. Try not to be too jealous, my lifestyle isn’t for everyone…
For Halloween, I went trick or treating for UNICEF!
I did a last minute skull face!
Dr Pepper Hell yeah! Lol it’s the only soda I drink. Such a unique taste
Loving that pink hair, I may have to give it a try.
We went to the Halloween Haunt at King’s island, a rollercoaster park here in Ohio!
We went to a halloween party, it was so much fun (as much for the adults as the kids I think!)
Yes to Dr.Pepper for me. Caffiene free diet dr pepper is one of my favorite sodas.
DR. Pepper-yes
Halloween involved trick or treating in the rain. Dr. Pepper is a no for me. No Christmas shopping yet, only brainstorming.
So many good questions this week! Dr. Pepper…yes. Also yes to Christmas shopping. I normally don’t start this early but we’ve done really well this year. I really want to try a macaroon but I found out I was allergic to gluten before the macaron “craze” hit so I haven’t found a gluten/dairy/egg free version.
We just moved back to the Bay Area from across the country and were excited for Halloween back home. We bought bags of yummy candy for the trick or treaters and waited but only had about seven or eight groups of kids. It really was a let down! Now I have to get rid of that candy so I don’t eat it.
I love cats and unicorns!
I went out to some bars Friday night and then to a party Saturday. I was Tinkerbell! Unfortunately, both my wings and my shoe-poms were a casualty of Friday night, never to be found again :-\
Cuddled up on the couch with hubby getting ready to watch The Walking Dead. .all while secretly makeup shopping!
I used to hate Dr.Pepper but now it’s my favorite.
Went to the high school football game with my daughter and then took her friends to their first haunted house. Ah to be a 7th grader again!
I have started shopping for Christmas ornaments!
Yes to Dr. Pepper! It was my favorite soda growing up!
Hi Karen!
Lemme see:
Last time I wore false lashes: two weeks ago, at a good friend’s wedding! I’m not really good with false lashes (it’s like brain surgery! *cues bimbotic laughter* oops) so they’re usually reserved only for special occasions!
Macaroons or bon-bons: macaroons!
Hope u had a good weekend!
Wow the last time I wore false lashes was probably 5 years ago. I hate wearing them though since my eyes are so small that I have to trim the bands and then it just feels awkward. I might take it up again as I think the individual ones suit me a lot more.
I looooove Dr. Pepper!

Never been a fan of Dr. Pepper, you just reminded me I need to start christmas shopping soon!
I dressed up as Frankenstein (She-kenstein) for Halloween because I have a big boot on my foot due to a sprained ankle! It worked with the costume!
This pic made me laugh extra hard because I occasionally call the boys “Cupcake Unicorn” and “Puffy Cloud Pegasus”. I love how you’ve combined them. 🙂
We were not home for Halloween and never get any trick or treaters so we bring bags of candy to our friend’s house (her street draws kids from the neighboring towns so it’s a mob scene).
Nightcrawler is getting good reviews. It’ll probably be a netflixer for me, though. 🙂
What did you do for Halloween? – I went to a few parties, most notably one in the middle of nowhere where there was a strobe light and a guy trying to teach me martial theory with a bunch of foam-and-duct tape weapons and armor. I politely declined the lesson and then went to drink some Fireball.
Last time you wore false lashes? – Halloween night!
I had to work on Halloween but I still dressed up as a cat lol! Everyone at work loved my makeup! As for Dr. Pepper, YES YES & YES!!!! Lol!
I spent Halloween sick in bed. 🙁
Dr. Pepper… Perhaps for a Christmas gif. Haha. Still need to do a lot of shopping.
I have never worn false lashes before! I just bought some to try out yesterday though.
Thank you for the nice giveaway.
I really want to like macarons.. they’re so pretty! But I just don’t love em.
def bonbons!
I actually wore falsies on Saturday! I never wear them, only about once a year.
Macarons. 🙂
I’d love to get better at highlighting and contouring!
Dr. Pepper is a Heck Yes! It’s better than Cherry Cola in my opinion.
Last time I wore false lashes was probably 2 years ago…. My lash glue went bad and I keep forgetting to buy a new tube
Karen! i’m back in cali! yay!!! looking forward to visiting the places you suggest, because, yeno, i can drive there!!!!
i can drive an hour and be somewhere other than the middle of nowhere! 😀
hope the weekend treated you welllllll!!!!
I spent Halloween on the couch watching movies. It was lovely.
Diet Dr. Pepper – yes! I have started my Christmas shopping (a couple weeks ago!). Justice had an awesome sale online, so I bought some stuff for my 8 year old daughter! 🙂
Friday nights I’m usually worn out from work and was never good at costumes, so the family got together at my parents house for a pizza night and handing out candy. So many cute trick-or-treaters! We also put on Hocus Pocus and might have gotten into the stash a bit. 🙂
Dr. Pepper no no no….
For Halloween, took my son trick or treating, was fun!! Now eating his candy, ha!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Happy November! I can’t believe 2014 is almost over!
Went to anime convention with my daughter on Halloween. On Saturday while at the con we went to a pastry shop and bought macarons! Lemon-so yummy! Her friend had Nutella and strawberry flavors.
I prefer macarons over bonbons!
I went trick or treating in the windy cold with my nieces and nephews!
I have not started Christmas shopping trying not to think about it
love the blog, and keep up the good work! also: bon bons. I feel like macaroons are so overrated!
I have actually never worn false eyelashes.
Had a lot of fun this Halloween! Went to a friend’s place for a costume party and also trick-o-treating with her kids…I dressed up as a sugar skull and hubby as The Joker from Batman…was also my birthday weekend, so lots of celebrations! Belated Happy Halloween, Karen!
I tried false lashes once; it was for Halloween actually! It took me forever to get them on and it looked terrible! They had to pull them off in the middle of the evening because the edges kept lifting. I’ve never tried them since. haha
Cold, rain that eventually turned into snow, on Halloween means a lot of leftover candy! Ohhh, too bad. 🙂
Being on a diet during the holidays sucks.
I spent my Halloween watching scary movies with my best friend and my boyfriend who drove down from the bay for the weekend. he works at the hostel in the marin headlands. No candy but plenty of junk food. c:
I’ve always wanted to try macaroons! Look delicious! And dr.pepper, yes!!
The picture of your ramen from this weekend has made its way on my cravings list! What is your favorite ramen spot in the Bay Area?
I love maracoons!
