Hell no! I would hate it. I mean, you know…I’d love some of the perks. I could probably deal with it for about a year, but eventually the attention would wear me down, man. I couldn’t handle having everything I did or wore or said be totally scrutinized. I like doing normal people things waaaaaay too much. Like, I need to be able to buy an extra large bulk jar of Nutella and the new Us Weekly at 11 in the evening without announcing it to the world!
I was thinking about this because of a movie I started streaming last night called Gemini. In it Zoe Kravtiz (she is her mom’s doppelganger, RIGHT?!) plays a famous actress. I only got about 15 minutes in before bedtime, but there’s a scene near the beginning where she’s leaving a restaurant and the paparazzi start harassing her, trying to elicit a reaction from her by asking rude, obnoxious questions… It did not look fun at all.
Will let you know how it turns out when I finish watching it…IN LIKE A WEEK, because that’s the average time it takes me to watch a movie at home now, LOL! I start a movie and watch for maybe 15 minutes before Tabs “needs” to inspect something on the deck or Connor “needs” a coloring partner or another load of laundry “needs” to get folded.
The cycle repeats itself every day or two until said movie has been watched, ha ha ha.
Anyway, could you handle being famous? Inquiring minds want to know.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I do not want to be famous but successful…hell yes! There’s a difference between those two things in my mind 🙂
Yes to wanting to be successful!
What is Hayden like? I’m obsessed with her ex, Wladimir Klitschko!! ???
Hi Sarah,
She was really nice. When I met her she had just gotten engaged. I didn’t know they split up; very sorry to hear that. If you wanna read the original interview I did with her in 2014 here it is:

Thank you!!
I imagine once you stop being famous… that would be harder than never being famous. Better I’m not then! I remember watching Hayden on Guiding Light with my grandmother! It was her “story”.
Mine was Santa Barbara in middle school and high school, and Days of Our Lives in college. My roommate and I used to plan our class schedule around Days. LOL!
Oh those pesky classes just got in the way lol My mom got me,my sister&a friend out of school early just once, to watch Luke&Laura’s wedding. Bet you were a Bo&Hope fan. My roommate crazy crazy about patch&sweetness (?).
Yeah, I was team Bo and Hope. I watched during the years when things went CRAZY. (Like, one of the main characters, Marlena, got possessed by the devil, and they had to keep her in a cage kind of crazy.) Good times! LOL
Cute photo of you two. I love your dress!
No, nope, nada. Could not handle being famous for one second. I like my anonymity.
Ok, that trailer sent a chill down my spine.
Oh! I gotta thank you for recommending “Kim’s Convenience”. Took Dear Husband a few episodes to warm up to it, but I loved it from the start. Slowly working our way through that one.
So I’ve been couch bound all day because I’m working my way through my third cold in the last six weeks. Let’s just say the trailer is much better than the movie. I love film noir (especially the negative space) but I really wanted the editing to be tighter. Maybe that’s the Theraflu talking though, LOL!
Glad you are liking Kim’s Convenience; Janet’s relationship with her parents hits home with me on so many levels!
Absolutely not! I would hate to have my every move scrutinized!
It would be terrible. Nobody needs to know what nonsense from the dollar bins I’m buying when I’m at Target!
Hm. I am not sure. I could for sure deal with a few of the perks, but I need my downtime, and I need to look slouchy every once in a while without it being commented on.
And I cannot do the interrupted movie thing, I completely loose the plot! Which is why I never watch movies these days, only episodes of a series.
No, being famous is not for me. I’m not sure who would actually like the paparazzi “fame” aspects. The worst part would be strangers approaching you like they know you. It has to be unnerving, even if it’s kind strangers saying they love your work, etc.
Don’t worry, you’ll get to binge programs again in a dozen years, or so. HAHA! I can’t remember the last time I watched something when I wasn’t folding laundry! I sympathize; the struggles are real. 🙂
I haven’t seen a school or GF update in a bit (but I’m just making my way through the last few days of posts). I hope all is well. Remember when my week was really bad? It got worse. HAHA! I have to laugh or I’ll hit the wine slushies before the weekend! 🙂
LOL, I know there will be a time when all she’ll want to do is get the keys and go someplace other than where her mom is. Kinda makes me weepy just thinking about it, but I know it’s coming.
Things are OK! I’m just really sick. Again. LOL! Third cold in six weeks. My HIIT teacher texted me and asked when I was coming back and I was like HOMEGIRL THE ONLY THING THAT’S GETTING WORKED OUT IS MY IMMUNE SYSTEM.
Oh, no! But that’s an awesome line about your immune system. We were like that when the boys first went to daycare. They had so much exposure to new germs that it was like the perpetual circle of sickness. I will say that by the time they went to Kindergarten, they were almost never sick. It’ll get better for you long before then. 🙂
Yes, we’re kind of living that dream (honestly, nightmare) now. Teenage years are not my favorite. The boys will start driving next year, but they have plenty of friends who are already able to. One is always on the go. The other would rather play video games so he’s physically in the house. Just with earbuds in, and zero desire to talk to/hang with us. I hope it will pass. 🙂
