I’m just going to jump right in to this because not only does that palette smell amazing, and I have an addiction to both chocolate and neutral colors, But I’ve heard great things about that mascara!!
As for eyelash woes…I have to share because…ugh…. the outer-corner eyelashes on my right eye are SO FREAKING ANNOYING. Like they’re short, but curled up and in, to where I can never get at them with my mascara wand and I can’t coat them or make them look nice, so when I put on mascara on my eyes, my right eye always looks like it has a bald patch by my outer corner. It makes me sad. Yet somehow, the rest of my eyelashes can’t keep a curl to save their lives… I think I was cursed by the lash gods. Am I the only one who deals with this? please tell me I’m not.

A chocolate scented palette hehe. My pups and also my parents Dog are crazy about the steam cream smell on my face for some kind of reason they believe is edible 🙂 sniffing sniffing. A chocolate scented eye-shadows on their mommy’s face will confuse them even more.

Ahh this sounds like the perfect giveaway! I LOVE Too Faced products! I like to stick with Too Faced and Benefit, but man does Too Faced win on shadows and bronzers/blushes!!! They have amazing packaging and names for their products (which is a bonus for those of us who can’t resist packaging pros!). I haven’t tried this mascara, but I’m on the hunt for something new after breaking up with Dior Show after years of use. I’m interested in the shape of that applicator, too. I wonder how the hourglass shape works on the eye. It’s still a full applicator brush, so that’s a definite win! I never have a lot of fallout with Too Faced products (unlike Urban Decay). AHHHH I want the both of these!!!

The video is hilarious! Don’t know why, but the only thing Two Faced I use is the shadow insurance. But a girl can never have too many neutral shadows/palettes, especially if it smells like chocolate! LOL- if anyone thinks mascara is better than sex, you aren’t doing it right 🙂

I am totally makeup deficient so maybe a beautiful palette would help? I have completely wimpy lashes and have sort of decided to give up on ever having a full thick set but I’m secretly hoping the magic mascara will walk into my life.

Every time I see this palette I think about my trip to Switzerland. While there we went to a village in the Alps, there is a famous chocolate factory there, called Maison Cailler. Omg I have to tell you how amazing that tour of the chocolate factory was. They have a tasting room with all chocolate, as much as you can eat. I thought I could eat way more than I did, I think I stopped after nine pieces. But everytime I smell this palette it takes me back to the chocolate tasting room at the Maison Cailler:)

Too Faced is one of my favorite brands, especially when it comes to eyeshadow palettes! I’ve never been able to try their mascara and I don’t have the money right now to buy the chocolate bar palette, so winning this would be amazing! Neutrals are my go-to eye look and this seems to be packed with great neutral colors!

I’ve been eyeing the chocolate palette since it came out, but I couldn’t justify the expense since I already get my neutral fix with ud’s naked2 palette.
I was fresh out of makeup storage…so i went garage saling, bought cute wall shelves, and painted them color of the year, radiant orchid. they are so cute on the wall, next to my vanity. now i have so much more room to expand my collection!

Beautiful palette! True story: my sister (who is pretty frugal and has been anti-eyeshadow – WHAT – because it tends to melt off her face and she never really knew how to apply it properly on our Asian eyes) saw this palette online a couple of weeks ago and fell for it, hard. I convinced her to immediately head to Sephora to pick it up (after showing her your review of it, too, which made her want it even more lol), plus recommended Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Then she came over to my apartment and I showered her how to best apply a multitude of color combos and now she’s HOOKED (and in love with the Shadow Insurance, too, since it all actually stays in place now). I’m such a bad influencer 😉
I have been looking into buying this palette for a while now. I feel like the hype died down but now everyone is talking about it again. And I love it! It’s just making me more excited to get my hands on this palette. Also, I like that Too Faced slimmed down the packaging. Seems like it would be travel-friendly now. I’m really interested in trying the colors as well. Hope I’m one of the lucky 5 🙂

Now, I am not quite sure if one would actually equal it to sex, especially since mascara cannot cannot ruffle the nether region feathers. Lmbo. But it does extend and thicken my lashes. And I do strut out the bathroom stuntin’ hard, whilst batting my eyes. <3 <3

Your blog is awesome, and having a similar skin tone as you is always helpful with lip swatches or blushes/bronzers especially, as some colors just won’t work for me.

As someone who has had plenty of both…I must say chocolate is better. The sex gave me my precious baby girl, and subsequently no more of “it” in almost 2.5 years. Whereas the chocolate….I can have it ANYTIME I want…even at work…as I type.
So yes, no sex = more time for chocolate eating and makeup wearing/shopping.

I’ve been waiting on this palette for the longest!! I have the Lorac PRO, so I’ve been able to convince myself to be good many times over and not get it…but I want it soooo badly! I use only Milk Chocolate Soleil as bronzer for its heavenly chocolaty scent. Your look rocks it…I may have to finally purchase the palette if I don’t win. Fingers crossed!!

Random comment: I’m studying for Step 1 of the USMLE, there are no cupcakes in my house and I’m white-knuckling it. On a good day I need a LOT of sugar, but my brain is pretty consistently fried lately and I feel like it’s unfair that I should have to drive to Sprinkles. Like… if they could just drop some by every morning like a milk man from the 1940s. Heaven.
Also, this palette is so pretty, and my dog Basi assures me he will spearhead a North American Feline Canine Peace initiative to throw the odds in our favor (at the very least, he’ll stop chasing cats- a bad habit he picked up from his cousin). Please let Tabs know. Have a good one, y’all.

HAAII K-Dawg and T-Money!!!! LOL!! The first time I saw this palette at Sephora, I didn’t even swatch it right away, I picked it up and smelled it @__@. I’m amazed at how they can get it to look AND smell equally delicious. and seriously, who wouldn’t want a dragon to travel on top of in the Spring/Summer (be sure to wear lotsa sunblock ehehe) and to light up a fireplace during the colder months (make sure they breathe fire not ice, lol). I’d name my pet dragon Wynston Lazlo…idk why, LOL, sounds good to me!!! 😀

I can’t get eyeliner to stay in the corners of my eyes! This is a serious woe for me. By 10 am I’ve yawned/watery eyed it all away. I’ve tried Lorac eye primer, MAC eye pencil, Stila waterproof eyeliner, Sephora waterproof liner, the list goes on! I’ve CC’ed and powdered and packed eye shadow until I think I have carpel tunnel. Any suggestions?

I love your blog. Thanks to you I got the Sharon Osbourne eye palette and mineralize skinfinish palette and I love them both. I just began to use the Two Faced line. I got the neutral palette and In the Buff lipstick from Beauty.com’s 20%off sale, and two more lipsticks from Sephora’s VIB sale, Nauty Neutral and Honeybear. They are very glossy. I love the Honeybear and In the Buff. Nauty Nude is one of those nudes that has a slight concealer look to it, but most of them do on me. It has some peach in it and was much better than Urban Decay’s Naked 2, which looked like beige paint on my lips. But I have red hair and very pigmented pink lips, so I have to avoid pink in lipsticks, because my lips will add their own. That’s why swatching a color and wearing it are two different things, but its better than nothing. The same thing happens with eyeshadows, they look very different on me than in the pan, but at least I know where to start. Peachy browns are the best color for me overall, eyes, cheeks and lips. My skin adds the pink and I get the perfect color. I’ve also begun to like mauvey browns and plummy colors. I guess they give a little more contrast for a more dressed up look. So this palette would be an amazing way to try a bunch of new colors that seem to be in my comfort zone. Thanks for all your hard work. And I don’t know what it is about animal lovers and makeup lovers, but it must be on the same gene or something. I have noticed that most beauty bloggers are also animal lovers, mostly cats but some dogs. Anywhere from their own pet to organizing animal rescue. I got into the animal rescue business when a stray cat delivered in my backyard eight years ago. She took the kittens away and when she brought them back to eat there was only one left. The next year both of them got pregnant. That’s when I learned about Trap, neuter and release. We found the two litters, the first one was dying when we got to them. I turned my Nanny’s room into a kitten nursery and socialized both litters and got them adopted. Only one would not leave us, she acted so badly at any adoption fair that they always sent her back to us. That’s my Tabby (short for Tabitha, the teenage witch, because she was not an easy one to tame!) But she is seven now, and our beloved baby. From then on, I spayed and neutered any cat that walked into our backyard, and socialized five more litters of kittens. There is only one fertile female left in our neighborhood, she will not go into a trap, and tonight she just brought me three gorgeous long haired kittens. They are about 6 weeks old. Now none of the cats in my backyard are really strays anymore. Even this Mom lets me pet her now. And any kittens that didn’t get adopted (and it gets harder everytime) stay inside for one year and them get a collar (of course they are spayed, neutered and vaccinated) and they get to go outside. I have a window they can go in and out of so they always have shelter in that downstairs room. Its now a cross between a kitten nursery and a homeless shelter. My daughter had a friend over this weekend and she showed her the room. She said, “OH, its like a cat hotel!” To me that was the greatest compliment. We are allergic, so they cannot have the run of the house. They get the best of indoor and out, but I always worry about them. The best is when the kittens can get a good home, but its not easy. We’ve saturated our friends, and its hard to trust strangers after reading some horror stories about Craig’s List. But we use facebook, pet finders.com and use our best instincts. I’ll see if I can get some pix of the new guys on one of the blogs. Anyway, I thought that was an interesting duality of interests. It certainly blows away the notion that just because we like to play with makeup that we are materialistic and superifical. Quite the opposite, I think of us more as artists, the fum is in the creation, getting new tools to create with makes it more exciting. Keep up the amazing work. Give my love to Tabs the cat from my Tabby the cat, and wish the new kittens luck on taming fast so they can get forever homes. If they don’t, they will always be welcome here! Its getting harder and harder to let them go after “raising” them. I think my own kids get a little jealous. But no one can resist those faces. I look forward to hearing from you! Good night.

Mmmm…chocolate! I was actually just chomping into a dark chocolate and sea salt chocolate bar when I saw this post! Coincidence? I’m a sucker for all things chocolate…dark is my favorite but I’ll take milk if thats what’s around. I’m not a white chocolate girl though…not a fan of the taste which is fine since darker chocolate is actually better for you. Dark chocolate in small amounts is actually good for you I hear…so I use it as an excuse to break into my chocolate stash every week…that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! *omnomnom* Back on topic though, I loooooove a good neutral eye and that palette looks amazing! I’m curious about the mascara too. That commercial was hysterical! I’ve only used one brand of mascara my whole life but I’d like to try some others and this one has my attention! I have had my eye on this palette for awhile, being new to wearing eyeshadow and all I thought this one has some great shades for really simple looks! I, too, have smelled it and YOWZA it smells divine! I have not ventured beyond the 1 eyeshadow-at-a-time look so usually the colors I have used are soft neutrals that venture to the pinky or purply side. Karen, have you found that this palette works for sensitive skin/ sensitive eyes? It’s a spectacular giveaway! Yeah, I’m pretty glad I was the only one home when I watched that commercial. Having to explain all of the “Oh yeahhhhhhhhhh, baby”s to my mom would have been more than a little awkward. I have to admit that it got me to laugh, though.
Since you mentioned dragons, I’ve been totally curious about dragon’s egg cucumbers since you showed off the Petaluma Seed Bank photos. I totally want to grow some and eat one. Is that weird?

I’ve been dying to try those out! I swatch that palette every time I’m in Sephora. I’ve only ever owned the Too Faced Shadow Insurance so I want to try out some of their other Too Faced products. I love that the palette smells like chocolate!
Smelling like chocolate is never a bad thing in my book. I’ve got to admit that when I apply the Too Faced bronzer that smells like chocolate, it makes me happy 🙂
