What are you doing today? We’re headed out to a barbeque with family friends in a few, and then Connor and I will probably swing by the pool. It’s supposed to be a hot one here in Nor Cal today!

Happy Fourth! I’m just hanging around the house today, doing chores. It was 100 degrees today, and over 40 percent humidity most of the day, so that was no incentive to go outside, or even to go shopping (I have no garage to park in, so the car is always insanely hot during the day). I’d rather watch the fireworks on TV than sit in a hot car (or stand in a hot park or parking lot) to watch them in person. There’s also mosquitoes all over the place. Tomorrow we should get some rain and cooler (around 89-93 degrees) air, so I’ll feel a lot more like going out somewhere. We haven’t had rain for 23 days, but our total for the year is over 32 inches, which is pretty close to a whole year’s worth of rain in just a little over 5 months.
We are spending the weekend with family at Strawberry Lake in Minnesota! We lit off fireworks last night and more to come tonight! Surprisingly the girls slept through all the noise.
