Happy Thanksgiving, friend. Guess what? This girl is giving herself lots of grace today. I’m not entertaining or cooking or really doing much. We’re going to continue to recover from last week, and that’s it. Oh, and side note if you missed it — everyone in our family got REALLY sick with a bad respiratory virus last week, and we’re only just starting to feel better.
Yesterday Connor and I felt well enough to go for a walk in our neighborhood. The leaves are all changing colors and the last of the fall fruit are on the trees.
We like to say that our house is a girls’ club (El Hub is an an honorary member, LOL), and pink roses represent our club. Here’s a rose for you because you’re a member of girls’ club, too!

P.S. Did you raid that persimmon tree? Or knock on the owners door to ask if they’d sell some to you? Last year the neighbor down the street sent out a notice that he had free persimmons for the taking. I scored a box of four hachiyas.
The tree is located in a public garden at a local church. We have a neighbor who used to work at the church and still goes there, and she told us it would be OK if we grabbed fruit from the tree! Whenever we walk through the garden I always get a few. 🙂
