Pretty often, but it depends. When it comes to my eyes, I love color, especially bright color, but the further I get into my 30s, I have to admit, I feel less and less comfortable in lime greens and hot pinks when I’m tooling around the grocery store.
These days, if I’m just hanging around and not out doing something fancy or fun, I usually stick to neutral eyes with maybe a little pop of color on my lids or along my lash lines.
As for my cheeks, I have no such qualms. I’ll totally do brights under almost any circumstances, but I’ll usually apply them with a light hand.
And lips? Gimme a bright pink, red or orange pout any day of the week. 🙂

I’ve never tried vibrant colors but neutral dark ones and I love it…but when iwasbplayong around with the colors, I’ve tried blue and it makes me looks like a clown
I never wear bright colors on my eyes, though I do wear subtle-ish purples and navys.
But I LOVE bright lips and wear them alllll the time. Any occasion is a bright lip occasion for me!
I go for sheer bright lips when I need a boost.
Bright eyes – only on weekends
Bright lip – I could wear it on weekdays, but only on days when I am attending a large lecture class :p
If I’m not at work I actually try to wear color on my eyes. Being at work with bright punk doesn’t really suit me, but I try to wear colors as often as possible.
I like to wear bright colour on my eyes but I don’t do it that often. Usually to go out or so. Brights just don’t really work that well on me. I do like dark colours for my eyes, especially as I’m very pale and it’s striking against my skintone.
I think it would be great if the world would just embrace bright colourful makeup and not judge so much. If you want to wear lime green shadow to the grocery store then I say go for it no matter what your age.

I love colorful eyeshadows and wear them all the time. I also love to wear bright lip colors from time to time and when I do, I use neutral eyeshadows on the eyes, otherwise I’d look like a clown!
Colorful eye makeup? I’d virtually do it any day! I usually pair a color with neutrals though, haven’t quite started paring with colors yet, but I do enjoy GREEN and Purple!!! I’m getting a liiiitle more adventurous when it comes to lip colors though, so I’ll have to learn to tone my eyes down!
on the job, i prefer neutrals more. but on weekends, i’d rather go all out with a bright lipstick or colorful eyes. I especially love going out at night, because anything goes on those occasions.
oh, and i love it when Friday comes, because it’s a free day for the office. no corporate attires, heels and ugly slacks – just jeans, flats, pretty dresses & colorful makeup!
I used to love wearing bright colors on the eyes, but now I find myself scurred — isn’t that weird?! I gotta get back into that.
As for cheeks, I don’t mind a bright blush, as long as it’s not garish, but I’m really not too daring with my lips. I’m working to change that, though!

I’d wear colorful makeup any day though my colors are mostly with eyeshadows. I love a blue smoky eye more than anything. Now colorful lip? Not so much as my lips are always dry and even wearing lipstick is hard enough with the exfoliating and layering on tons of lip balm.

I wear colourful eyeshadow to work on Fridays, and nail polish any day of the week. (Except now, because for some reason my nails have been extra brittle…)
Oh yes, all the time. Today it’s gold and purple with pinky-purple cheeks and Mac Viva Glam Nicki on the lips (although not too sure about that one). I love colours. 🙂
I wear red, pink, or coral lipstick to college, but purple lipstick for party/church. I seldom wear eyeshadow and wear the black one as the substitute of eyeliner.
I think I wear it TOO often LOL and end up looking like a rainbow!!

I’m up for colour anyday but of course for the office you have to be more tone down. It’s a good thing for casual fridays where both my outfit and makeup can be a little more colourful! On another note I’m just starting the 3rd book of the hunger games series and I’m so hooked!
My eyeshadows range from neurtal to brown to green to pinks to bright colors but I normally only wear bright colors on my lids when I am on Vacation down south or in the summer when I have a great tan to compliment it. I normally stay neutral on cheeks and gloss with a hint of color on the lips..
When I first started to wear makeup seriously and take the time to apply it properly, I never, ever worn funky colors. I guess in my mind it was more of a learn the rules and then learn how to break the rules without looking crazy! Nowadays I’m much more open to color and even the possibilities of red lips!
If by colorful you mean turquoise and fuchsia, then not often. I wear color, but it’s mostly pale pink eyeshadow accented by violet eyeliner, or purple eyeshadow with black kajal. If I’m heading to class, I try not to overdo it.

I tend to go with bright eyes over bright lips, but I’ve definitely done both! I’ll even wear bright shadows/liners (green, orange) to work, depending on what I’m wearing.
I have thin lips so bright lips are a blue moon thing for me. I do wear saturated eye colors and i pair them with a more muted color as well. Ok Karen, were is those pics of you in the NARS Outreamer blue?? That was an amazing pictorial for brights. I think it would have added lots to this post 🙂
For everyday makeup, I just use browns or a plum color.. sometimes i go for more a colorful eye shadow on weekends…
You pull of brights SO well that I think you could easily wear it into your 80’s! Hahah! But really, i do love how you put it together, it never looks clown-ish… Even with the two different eyes you wore for that UD replica look! Always fab & fierce.
Whenever I wear make up it is colorful. I love bright eye shadow or lipstick. (Not at the same time, though.)
I love colourful make-up esp. when my mood is ok. I often use bright lipsticks or deep red ones ( Nars funny face, red lizard, fire down below, Shangai Express, M.A.C full fuschia for example ). I also use very bright blushes such as Frankly Scarlet from M.A.C but only during winter time. More generally and most of the time I use soft pink colours in fact but I do love bright colours as well. I couldn’t buy from the Iris Apfel collection but I guess it was a really great collection !
I love wearing a bright eyeliner during the day. But only a bright liner, nothing more. During the day I like to keep it simple. A bright look is very bold and when I go to school I like to prevent people from staring at me. People always judge you on how you look, I don’t really mind what people think of me and I do love attention, but I don’t feel that confident with bright makeup on my face during the day. Not saying I don’t like bright makeup. I love bright fuchia lips or smokey turquoise eyeshadow. It just has to fit the event where I can show my makeup off. On events like; carnival, halloween, just going out of a special party.
I was in this mass neutrals rut for a while, but I have all these lovely Aromaleigh shadows in great colors so I’ve been playing with those so I’m trying to introduce colorful makeup back into my rotation for spring.
I am big on colorful eyes. I don’t do much with the lips, typically lip gloss, balm and/or a touch of lipstick. My inspiration for some eye looks is the runway. You can rock bright eyes if you are confident and wear a lot of neutrals (or have them match an item of clothing you are wearing). I also like to do different takes on the smoky eye – for instance, for St. Patty’s Day I always do a green smoky eye. My new favorite purple shadow is Victoria’s Secret in Taboo. It is a sparkly, iridescent purple and it lasts all day with a good primer. It’s also great for a different take on a purple smoky eye.
I’m more of a neutral girl, especially on the eyes. But sometimes I’ll channel my love of Mad Men and will do a flicked out eye with liquid liner and a bright pink lip, circa 1962 🙂

I love colorful makeup and I wear them whenever I can. When I’m just at home playing with my stuff I can go overboard with colors and get crazy but when I’m going out I keep it clean and balanced. 🙂
I wear bright colours constantly on my eyes (currently wearing Edgy Emerald from the Maybelline colour tattoo line). Everyone at my work place seems to be afraid of colour… poor them!
