I was thinking about the beautiful striped powder blushes that Cargo used to make (remember them?) and fell into a rabbit hole of reminiscing about long-lost beauty products that I used to wear and love, le sigh! Anywho, Cargo was around until recently, it seems, but their Instagram stopped updating circa 2021, and they don’t seem to have an official presence online. I wonder what happened to them?
As much as I enjoyed wearing Cargo, though, I would probably bring back a different brand. Remember Becca? I used to really love them. I know that technically they still exist as a sub-brand under Smashbox, but they only have a few products available, and they’re not super exciting. I’d take it back to the time when they were doing collections like Lost Weekend and Halcyon Days.
Take me back!

Oh my gosh, yes, I would love Becca to come back with the Beach Tints! I found some on websites after they stopped making them and bought them . . . I loved the Beach Tints so much!
I loved the Becca Beach Tints too. I’ve been looking for a substitute since they were discontinued. Mine lasted forever.
I recently tried the Urban Decay Hydromaniac tints, and I think there is a similar consistency. My favorite beach tint was the watermelon, a bright sheer red that was tomato girl before tomato girl.
Apparently the Body Shop is no longer open in the US. They did have some beauty stuff but mostly I will miss their skin and body care, like the hemp hand cream. So sad!

I’d bring back Prescriptives – the best foundation I ever had.
Becca, for sure. The beach tints were iconic and the colours were beautifully curated in all their cosmetics. A very innovative brand and, as I am an Aussie, it was great to be able to support an Aussie brand.

I never got to try Becca – I was curious about the highlighters that were such a big thing some years ago. I would like to see Cargo come back – I have some of their really good eyeshadows and a blush or two. I think they went to Chinese manufacturing, and that probably didn’t help. No one really wants to pay above drugstore price for Chinese-manufactured products.
I’d bring back Bite Beauty. When they first launched the lipstick formulation was amazing. Once they tried to go all vegan it’s like they lost their mojo.
