Happy almost Thanksgiving, friend!
I went to Target yesterday for a polish pick me up and the nail section was serving some serious WTF vibes. YIKES!
Between the nail swatch graffiti and the haphazard bottles strewn about, I short circuited…
Anyway, I ended up going to Ulta because I just couldn’t take it.
There, I picked up a creamy dusty mauve purple situation from Essie called Not What It Seams, which is their gel version of Angora Cardi.
She’s pretty, isn’t she? I’ve been looking for a gel version of Angora Cardi for ages and this fits the bill.
I cannot believe it’s the day before Thanksgiving and I have no plan for making food. It’s been a weird November to say the least.

Ummm that Target nail polish section is seriously scary! Mine does not look like that thank goodness!
If you don’t want to cook tomorrow, get takeout! Or get one of those Thanksgiving meals from the grocery store that you just heat up! Whatever you do, have a great Thanksgiving!
I love that color! Your nails look great. I don’t blame you one bit for running out of that polish display mess – yikes. Maybe the display manager is off this week?
If you’re not feeling the Thanksgiving meal prep at home, go out! Or heck, order pizza. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had ‘za for Thanksgiving.

The nail section at my Target is a mess, too. (And the rest of it is generally so neat.)
Give yourself grace tomorrow. Y’all have been sick. (I’m so glad you’re all feeling better, btw!) Order some takeout, watch the parade or some movies, snuggle on the couch, and just enjoy the day.
That nail display totally grosses me out. It gives such awful yucky vibes. I’m glad you fled to Ulta. Do the gel versions actually do well, and hold up better?

As for the gels, I do think they do a better job of staying on and avoiding chips. I also like that they dry pretty fast!
Such a pretty color of polish. That nail section is down right rude. I cannot believe people these days. I have given up shopping at Target. Between the messiness of all the departments, to the sparely stocked shelves and the number of times I’ve had my CC# stolen shopping there I’ve had it. There are better stores.
Anything makeup or nail polish related that looks like this is an immediate turnoff for me as well – I immediately loose the will to shop.
The color is pretty, but not what suits me.
