So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).

Pumpkin pie, please, with a buttery and flaky crust. Oh, and don’t forget the whipped cream!
5. Do you believe in ghosts?
I think they pop by every once in a while to say what’s up.
6. With whom did you go trick-or-treating with when you were a kid?
I remember my dad taking me quite a few times. I honestly can’t remember my brother coming with us, though, ha ha ha! There were also a handful of times I went with the neighborhood kids.

Matte red, baby.

Pears, so I can make a pear crumble!
9. Is it cold yet in your neck of the woods?
Most people probably wouldn’t consider mid-70s cold, LOL. It’s been chilly enough at night and in the morning to need a sweater, and to me, that’s cold.

1. Red, black or wine nail polish? Wine. If you have one with shimmer that you like, let me know. I’d love a dupe for Chanel Vamp or Rouge Noir but with shimmer in it.

5. Do you believe in ghosts? If you mean, spirits that haven’t left yet, yes. After my Dad died I definitely felt his presence. Can’t say the same for when my Mom passed. Lucy definitely let me know she was still around for while, too.

9. Is it cold yet in your neck of the woods? I don’t think it is, but my trainer definitely thinks it’s cold. Looked at the weather in Chicago where Dear Daughter moved to and it’s in the 40’sF this week with overnight lows near freezing, that’s what I call cold. So glad Dear Husband flew out and helped her move the rest of her clothes and household goods from storage into her new apartment.

2. What’s the best Halloween candy? I ate so many peanuts as a starving young airline pilot (seriously, new copilots do NOT make big $$) that anything with peanuts is a “no” for me. I love Milky Way bars which I freeze, then eat.

5. Do you believe in ghosts? Yes. I think some souls just don’t leave on schedule.

2. What’s the best Halloween candy? thousand dollar bars? Don’t think that’s the right name but they are freaking awesome. Also peanut butter cups and Payday Bars. And red licorice. And miniature bags of candy corns.

4. Pumpkin pie or pumpkin seeds? Haha, pie, especially for breakfast.

6. With whom did you go trick-or-treating with when you were a kid? My friends. There was no way on God’s green earth I’d get my parents out of the house for that kind of thing.

9. Is it cold yet in your neck of the woods? You’d think it would be since I’m all the way on the other side of the universe from you in Maine. But no. We had a cold weekend where it dipped into the low 30’s overnight and of course, we couldn’t get our furnace to work that weekend. So we fortunately got a repairman out that Monday morning who fixed it and since then we’ve had a major warmup. It’s been 65 during the day and 50’s at night.

9. Is it cold yet in your neck of the woods? Snow flurries possible this week…Then almost 80 this weekend. Weather here is very crazy….You have to be ready for all 4 seasons (sometimes in the same week). It’s really hard to pick Halloween costumes with unpredictable temperatures.

Not really. There’s a lot of Bigfoot enthusiasts where I’m from though.

I’m from a pretty rural, spread out area where you can’t just walk house to house, so my parents and my brother.

My father and younger brother. I had 2 older brothers who apparently went by themselves, as I have no memory of them going with us.
