So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. What would you rather be great at: finding good deals, arriving on time, navigating or mental math?
I could use a little help with all of these things, ha! Let’s go with finding good deals.
2. Who is your biggest supporter?
El hub. He’s seen me through many dreams chased!
3. Claw clip or hair tie?
Hair tie, black, stretchy.
4. I am too old to [FILL IN THE BLANK]?
Deal with nonsense. Do any physical activity without a warmup, lol. *Not* draw boundaries.
5. Your ice cream truck treat of choice from back in the day?
I always like the popsicles that were red, white and blue. Drumsticks were a fave, too!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

1. What would you rather be great at: finding good deals, arriving on time, navigating or mental math? I’d say mental math.
2. Who is your biggest supporter? My husband.
3. Claw clip or hair tie? My hair is so baby fine, a tie is the best way to keep it together.
4. I am too old to waste time on ironing. If have a meeting with a jacket, I just iron the collar and the front.
5. Your ice cream truck treat of choice from back in the day? Orange Popsicle.
1. What would you rather be great at: finding good deals, arriving on time, navigating or mental math? Navigating…I have zero sense of direction🤪
2. Who is your biggest supporter? My husband
3. Claw clip or hair tie? Claw if wet, hair tie if dry
4. I am too old to [FILL IN THE BLANK]? I am too old to worry about what others think of me (I have to remind myself sometimes). I am too old for heels (previous ankle injuries still haunt me).
5. Your ice cream truck treat of choice from back in the day? Orange push up pop
1. What would you rather be great at: finding good deals, arriving on time, navigating or mental math? Navigating
2. Who is your biggest supporter? My husband by a lot
3. Claw clip or hair tie? Hair tie but my hair is short enough right now not to need one
4. I am too old to [FILL IN THE BLANK]? Care about other people’s work gossip. Oh and I am too old to be guilt tripped
5. Your ice cream truck treat of choice from back in the day? Push pops
1. What would you rather be great at: finding good deals, arriving on time, navigating or mental math? Navigating (streets). I’m better with a compass than I am with directions and I can do the other three.
2. Who is your biggest supporter? My husband or potentially my parents.
3. Claw clip or hair tie? Hair tie. Claw clips hurt.
4. I am too old to [FILL IN THE BLANK]? Put up with any bullshit.
5. Your ice cream truck treat of choice from back in the day? A Drumstick.
1. What would you rather be great at: finding good deals, arriving on time, navigating or mental math?
I think I’m pretty good at all of those things. I grew up with paper maps and no calculators. I suppose if I had a sixth-sense about traffic tie-ups so I’d be on time more, that would be a good thing to have.
2. Who is your biggest supporter? No one now. I never really had anyone in my corner to the extent that I should have – that’s what narcissistic parents with too many kids and not enough money does to a person.
3. Claw clip or hair tie? Hair tie.
4. I am too old to [FILL IN THE BLANK]? Put up with any kind of abuse. I’ve lived surrounded by it – from my brothers, my parents (especially my father), schoolmates, teachers, strangers in public (men who think they have the right to insult you anytime, anywhere). I’ve just had enough. Not going to take it anymore. Remember the line from “Network,” – “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore!” (If you lived in the 1970s, you’d know exactly why Paddy Chayefsky wrote that line.)
5. Your ice cream truck treat of choice from back in the day? I’d say the same as you, the red, white, and blue popsicle. Those were called “Bomb Pops” when I was a kid.
