So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. What sports would you have liked to have played as a kid?
I would’ve loved to have taken dance classes. I think I would’ve enjoyed soccer, too.
2. Would you rather listen to the radio or replay a favorite album?
Replay a favorite album. Speaking of that, my family will probably freak out if I play the greatest hits from Fleetwood Mac one more time.
3. Have you ever had a job where you had to be on your feet all day?
Yup. I’ve done retail and worked in the back of the house in a bakery. Gotta have supportive shoes!
4. Do you have any travel plans for the summer?
Right now we’ve got one camping trip to the Russian River planned, and that’s it. I think eventually we’ll add on a last-minute trip to Tahoe but as of now we’re sticking close to home, which is fine with me.
5. What scent are you wearing today?
I’m wearing the new one from Chanel, Chance Eau de Splendide. It’s lovely! I mostly like the rose and iris notes.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Radio on a good station. I enjoy the element of surprise.

As a kid I would have liked to be in gymnastics. I took it for a while and before I mastered the backflip on my own I was taken out. 🙁

I’d much rather play a favorite album. I don’t listen to the radio much these days. But I have to admit it was fun to listen to the radio play songs at random. 🙂

No, and I don’t plan on it. lol That would not be the job for me. I like to move around sometimes but the chair is my friend. lol

No scent today!
1. What sports would you have liked to have played as a kid?
I wish I could have had a horse (or just access to a horse) to learn to ride well, especially over jumps (like 3-day event cross country). Also, I really would have liked to learn to ice skate, but that was not available in the little town I lived in from age 5 to almost 10. Neither was ice skating that common in Texas, where we moved to.
2. Would you rather listen to the radio or replay a favorite album?
I guess the album, but I also enjoy listening to a radio station that plays 1970s-1990s music (though I hate most of the 1990s music they play). At some point the music industry decided to amp up the drums to a ridiculous level, and I can’t stand that in 1990s music.
3. Have you ever had a job where you had to be on your feet all day?
Yes. Packing boxes of tax documents and manuals for a tax prep firm. It was horrible.
4. Do you have any travel plans for the summer?
Not right now. I have health problems to deal with, house problems to deal with, and no passport.
5. What scent are you wearing today?
Alexander McQueen’s My Queen. Still wearing that just about every day since being a cancer patient, recognizing that time is fleeting and I never know what day will be my last. I know I can’t buy this when it runs out, so I need to find a dupe.

2. Would you rather listen to the radio or replay a favorite album? Radio – I too am an NPR nerd!
3. Have you ever had a job where you had to be on your feet all day? Worked at Penny’s back in the day. Now I’m a massage therapist so am standing but moving all day. I work with people who have had strokes, TBI, MS, MD and other issues. I love my job!
4. Do you have any travel plans for the summer? Going to Norway for 12 days with my cousins in June. Never been there before.
5. What scent are you wearing today? See #3. I stay scentless most of the time.

Played a little tennis & softball, would have liked to have stuck it out more for either of those or tried soccer.
2. Would you rather listen to the radio or replay a favorite album?
Favorite album all-the-way. With the radio I just skip through all the channels and end up turning it off.

Yes! Once upon a time at a restaurant hostess, frozen custard shop and then I am a cosmetologist.
4. Do you have any travel plans for the summer?
San Diego & camping locally.
5. What scent are you wearing today?
I don’t often wear perfume, it’s not my thing and usually scents are too overwhelming…but I do have a DoTerra roller ball one, I think the scent is called Whisper. Then my daughter gave me a tiny vintage looking bottle with perfume in it and luckily it’s not too strong.

Then my daughter gave me a tiny vintage looking bottle with perfume in it and luckily it’s not too strong. My citrus roller ball recently went missing…my 11 year old said “it wasn’t me.”
