So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. Ice cream sandwich or popsicle?
An ice cream sandwich please, but it’s gotta be a Mini Its-It in Vanilla. YUM!
2. What are you wearing on your nails right meow?
Chanel Incendiare, a warm bright red. Reminds me of summer tomatoes.
3. Things that make you think of summer beauty?
Bright, sheer glossy lipgloss. Colorful, bold nail polish in shades of red or coral. Certain Chanel fragrances with a fruity vibe, like Chance. The scent of Guerlain bronzer. Body oils.
4. Have you ever lived somewhere where chickens wake you up in the morning?
Technically, yes. In the spring, during a particularly rough patch of insomnia, I used to hear a rooster crowing off in the distance in the wee hours of the morning. My guess is he lived down the street and a few blocks over. I haven’t heard from him in a while, though, so hmmm. Hope he’s still around!
5. Your preferred decade of dance music?
‘80s, baby!

Ice cream sandwich. Might get a Chipwich-type one next time, if they still make those.

Nothing. Just got a new Essie set (last year’s Christmas stock) cheap that has one green bottle and one silvery topcoat. Will try it when I get the time to let it dry.

Mostly coral shades of lipstick and blush.
4. Have you ever lived somewhere where chickens wake you up in the morning?
No. Roosters aren’t legal in my area, although hens are. But there are no hens, either. No one here wants to do the work, no matter how much they complain about the cost of eggs. Also, we have coyotes and bobcats in this area now, from time to time.
5. Your preferred decade of dance music?
Not sure. Probably 1960s freeform dancing. I pretty much hated disco from the get-go. It’s a good reason for me to NOT go to a high school reunion – I couldn’t stand to hear Saturday Night Fever stuff all night. There was so much better music available from 1970-1980.

4. Have you ever lived somewhere where chickens wake you up in the morning? Now, in the middle of Chicago. Our neighbor has chickens (no rooster though, those aren’t legal), but if the window is open I can hear them clucking. On the plus side, I trade them homemade bread for fresh eggs.
5. Your preferred decade of dance music? 70’s. I was the Saturday Night Fever generation.

Ice cream sandwich. I’m currently addicted to Trader Joe’s chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich.

They’re naked.

Coral blushes, lipgloss, polished toenails, hair clips.
4. Have you ever lived somewhere where chickens wake you up in the morning?
When I lived in the suburbs near Philadelphia we would hear a rooster many mornings. Thankfully it wasn’t close enough to wake us.
