Good morning and hello, Caturday!
Today’s clothing-related question for you — have you ever gone to a store, tried something on and loved it so much that you didn’t want to take it off? And then, because you loved it so much, you bought it right then and there before walking out of the store actually wearing it?
That’s only happened to me once, and it was recently with this sherpa jacket from Athleta.

I’ve been desperately needing some warm sweaters and tops, so I made myself shop for stuff I don’t actually hate. 👍
Normally, I find reasons to be annoyed by most items of apparel, but this is so warm and so soft, and just the right weight to keep me toasty both indoors and outdoors. It’s neither too loose nor too formfitting, either, and not only do the pockets easily fit my phone, but they also have zippers (!), so my crap doesn’t fall out.
Good news, it’s on sale now!
If you’re on the market for something warm, snuggly and cozy, I highly recommend it. It’s made my world so much better, and whenever I wear it, I almost like getting dressed.

We’re house shopping so we toured 7 houses yesterday! One I really liked but is just a tad small. Hettie spent the day with my brother-in-law and their three cats and had a great time.
The L’Oréal Elvive Wonder Water is on the list of cheap products even beauty snobs love and I don’t use it all the time but it does make my hair so smooth and shiny without being heavy.
The Variety article about transformations for movies was really good! Love the color theory for shooting black and white.
Good luck finding a place! I know it’s sounds so cliche, but you will know when it’s the spot for you. We looked at so many houses before we bought our current one (don’t even get me started on the one with the sloped kitchen floor, or the very scary haunted house), and when I saw our current place, I knew it was where we would end up from the moment I saw the outside!
The house market is a little wild right now, houses go so quickly. Our realtor sold my husband’s sisters their homes in the same area so we at least have someone really great to work with.
“I Can See Clearly Now” is one of my favorite songs. It was on the radio all the time in late ’72 and early ’73. I always hoped it would someday be a song I could sing with sincerity (my life was severely damaged by events that began in that time period). I’m still waiting for that bright future the song was about. Considering my age and cancer patient status, I suppose it never will materialize.
I hope you find that rainbow, CL. Take care of yourself.
OMG! My trainer has that exact same jacket in the purple color! We walked together before my workout on Friday and she wore it. She let me touch her arm (because we are still doing 6-12 ft. socially distanced training) and the fabric is sooo soft. If I wasn’t on a closet clear out, no-buy I’d be ordering that jacket.
She also has a version from a previous year that’s a bit longer and covers her bum. Loves them both.
After being home for 4 weeks, Dear Daughter got up at 4:15 this morning to catch a flight back to NYC. Dang I’m going through pangs of withdrawal.
I hope the jacket finds a way to you, because the sherpa is life changing (I’m wearing my jacket right now).
Hope your daughter makes it back to NYC safely, and I’m glad you were able to spend some quality time with her.
