Anywho…I’ve had the magazine sitting on my desk for a few days; I’ve been saving it to read on Saturday morning with my breakfast. 🙂 Because reading a magazine on the weekend feels that much more special for some reason! (Maybe because I can relax and savor the experience.) It’s one of my favorite things.
Another of my favorite things? My Nespresso machine!
It’s basically like a fancy Keurig. I got one for Christmas from El Hub. You buy the coffee pod cups, which come in different flavors and intensities, then insert the cup into the machine, and the machine just does its thang. It makes delicious, delicious coffee! I mean, it’s some of the best coffee I’ve ever had from anyplace on earth. Also, the cups are made from aluminum and recyclable, so you can drop them into a recycling bag when you’re done, and take them to a local recycling spot.
No joke, but I will talk to anyone and EVERYONE about the glory of a cup of Nespresso coffee… It’s so creamy and full of layers of rich flavor! AH! I don’t know if I’ve just been drinking terrible drip coffee for too many years or if Nespresso is really all that and a bag of chips, but I wake up in the morning salivating at the thought of that first cup.

Your coffee looks divine! Do you have to steam milk separately or does it come out of the machine like that, all foamy and delicious?

I use a separate doodad to foam the milk; it’s called the Aeroccino, and it’s glorious! The coffee also comes out of the machine very frothy and foamy, too.

I love my Nespresso too! It’s such delicious coffee! Is yours a vertuo or original? I have the vertuo because I tend to drink mostly the coffee pods, and espresso only once in a while. I bought some decaf and half caff pods too so I can drink it all day without getting the jitters! I rarely use my Keurig anymore!

I like the Vanilla too! I ordered some seasonal flavors like pumpkin spice, peppermint, and gingerbread and they were all good. You should try some of the ones that are made to pour over ice! Those are tasty as well!

Buying perfume samples to make sure you don’t have COVID is so interesting! I didn’t lose my sense of taste or smell, thank goodness. I was vaccinated and boosted though.

Today my husband wanted to go to a record store downtown so I went along and I got to go to Le Bon Macaron after – got 6 macarons and some chocolat chaud (husband got an oatmilk latte). I’m seeing my friend Brittany tomorrow for the first time in several months so I’m doing some baking.
Oh, I haven’t had a macaron in the longest time. Did you get any interesting flavors? I remember trying a green tea one a few years back and loving it.
Zack had a chai tea one that he said tasted too much like black licorice. He also had a tiramisu one. The apple cinnamon macaron tasted kind of odd to me – like artificial apple. Blueberry muffin tasted kind of like Boo Berry LOL.
Yaaaaaaaassss! Love my Nespresso machine. I really agree with you re: the coffee being delicious – and I enjoy using my Aeroccino milk frother to get creamy foam to go with it. Two thumbs way up!

I know! Maybe it’s her lovely cheeks? They add such a youthful element to her face. I will always enjoy her music. I used to have “Control” on tape!
