Hello and happy Saturday, my friend! ? Before we get goin’ and do this, I just want to say thank you for visiting me this morning. It’s still early, but I already have a list *this long* of things I’d like to do before the weekend ends. At the very top, paint my nails!
I NEED PAW PAINT. DESPERATELY. We have to have bare nails when we work at the bakery to eliminate the chance of nail polish getting into the food (makes sense, right?), and although I’m completely cool with naked nails, I miss having some color on my fingertips. I just feel more like “me” when my nails are painted, ya know?
I think it’s an Essie Angora Cardi day. ? It’s one of my go-tos.

I love, love, LOVE this workout, and I’m not normally a Pilates person, but this workout is simultaneously challenging (I’m dripping in sweat by the end of it) and yet easy on ye olde joints. It’s great for days when you want to exercise but don’t feel like doing tons of jumping.
Try this sometime. I promise you’ll feel a little better about everything afterwards.

I hear you on the paw paint. I’m friends with two of the gals who work at my espresso joint and they can’t wear polish to work. And one of them is real girly girl so it’s a struggle for her.
I have to do my paws too. I got a shellac manicure the week before last and it wasn’t the best paint job I’ve ever had. And I’m now really sick of the color so I’ve got to get it off. Tips for removing shellac without a lot of hassle?
I just signed up for a nail sticker subscription from Scratch and I’m anxious to put them on. This month is a sort of tropically floral on a transparent background 🙂
I wish I knew of a non-hassle way to remove Shellac. The one time I got a professional gel mani removed was so traumatic, I vowed to never do it again! It took my nails months to recover.
omg that Pantone link is EVERYTHING. 40 shades of foundation ARE NOT ENOUGH! I loved seeing the true rainbow of humanity represented in Pantone. I have a polish close to that color in Zoya; I might do mine this long weekend, too. 🙂
Did ya end up painting your nails? I’m rocking Angora Cardi right now, although I might swap it out for a dark burgundy just for funsies.
I love Angora Cardi! Contemplating buying some more Essie Gel Couture colors on eBay. So much cheaper there, but do I really need more? My friend and I tried a new workout class today. It’s called Solidcore and it’s Pilates based. It was tough but I like it! Excuse me while I limp off to bed!
Girl, pilates is HARD. I just started doing it (my knees and feet have been wonky, so I’ve been looking for lower-impact workout options), and it’s my new favorite thing.
BTW, have you ever tried working out with sliders? Those are great too!

I love that Pantone project. And I haven’t tried Kosas yet but their stuff looks so elegant. I feel like their tinted face oil might break me out but it looks so beautiful!
I had a burlesque student showcase today and a circus rehearsal so I just took my lashes off and can’t wait to wash off the rest of my makeup!
Oh gosh, I remember that feeling of the lashes coming off… It feels like taking off your bra at the end a long day! How did the showcase go?
It was good! Ran relatively on schedule and everyone was awwesome.
Oh, congrats! Honestly having performances stay on schedule is a BIG DEAL. Glad you were able to enjoy it!
