Happy Caturday, and greetings from the Russian River. Rosie-Pose kicked us out to chill with her favorite petsitter (I’m starting to think she’s got a crush), so we’re spending a few days camping on the Russian River.
Hope you’re having a nice weekend so far. Don’t forget to wear your sunscreen!
This week’s reading
- How Tom Ford’s F*cking Fabulous fragrance got its name.
- Gotta love a tiny bottle of mini perfume!
- Well, this is an interesting perfume predicament that I’ve never considered.
- FYI: Sulfur is back in vogue in skin care.
- How the anti-aging brands hook ya for life.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I always look forward to Saturday Surfing and the Monday Poll. Hope you’re having a wonderful, relaxing time on the Russian River.
58 bottles of perfume is nothing. I’m over 100 bottles and among my perfume friends I have a small collection. Lol.
Dear Daughter loves perfume too, but we have totally different tastes and totally different body chemistries. So even if we like the same perfume, some of them don’t always smell exactly the same on both of us.
She had a work trip out this way this week, so she’s spending the weekend with us before heading back to DC for work on Monday. It is so good to see her and do nothing but hang out with her.
Over 100??? I’m impressed! I have 3 (technically 4, but I only use the 3 on a regular basis) and I thought that was indulgent!
I have a friend who has at least two tall cabinets full of perfume. I’m guessing somewhere around 1,000 bottles. Maybe more.
I’m at the point where I’m trying to sell off the ones I don’t use on a regular basis. I lost my sense of smell due to Covid and some things smell off to me now.
For a while I would buy back-up bottles when I heard talk of one of my favorites being discontinued. I’m now of the mind set, “wear it while I have it and when it’s gone, it’s gone.”
Oh wow. As someone that has exactly two perfumes (one for summer, one for the rest of the year) that seems like a lot!
Enjoy your time camping, it sure looks beautiful.
