Hiya, happy Caturday from me and my freshly painted paws. ? Turns out that Olive & June Nail Polish in KMC is more of a mint green than a jade green, but I’m not mad at it, because I did this mani without wearing my glasses, so I was as blind as a bat (living on the edge!), and it still turned out OK. Good on you, Olive & June!
You can see the polish again in this pic, along with what will forever be known as “the baguette that crushed my cool French girl dreams…”
Case in point:
Yesterday I went to a local Sonoma spot called Baker & Cook and ordered a baguette, a lemon bar and a banana muffin. This loaf was in my possession for three whole minutes before I greedily gobbled down the exposed end.
IT WAS SO SOFT!
And so, so fresh… I couldn’t help myself.
It was then that I realized I would never be a chic French gal riding around on a bike with a baguette tucked neatly under her arm, because I would eat the bread before even getting on the damn bike, ha ha ha.
I hope you have some really delicious fresh bread this weekend, because let me tell ya, good bread is a revelation.

Dang just when I was sure I’d never buy another eyeshadow palette UD has do a Prince themed one. I would totally buy U Got The Look. I love that it has neutral and cool tones in it. I want the purple and blue one too. Need to remind myself that I don’t NEED either of these.
I love that Zara who manufactures fast fashion which is the furthest thing from eco-concious is launching and eco-concious makeup line. Lol. I have to admit I did like their little promo video.
Dear Daughter waited for the cable/internet installer today and she has super fast internet now. We Face Timed and she gave me a video tour of her apartment. It’s super nice. I’m really happy and excited for her.
I have a purple OPI polish I’ve been using on my toes (the name escapes me) that I absolutely love, but I’m really into purple in general lately.
I’m with you on Meghan’s makeup look – it was so beautiful, glowy, and natural.
That New Yorker article is AMAZING. We’re going to my cousin’s house tomorrow for a small get-together with some of our other cousins – one is moving to Pennsylvania next month, so we wanted to do something. We’re all vaccinated, luckily, and I’ll get to meet my cousin’s cats. Her cat Max is 17 and mostly deaf and visually impaired and he is sassy as heck – she sends me videos all the time, he’s white and tabby. She has two other tabbies, Paige and Oliver, who are mother and son (Oliver’s brother Sebastian passed away last year). Oliver is 12, I’m not sure how old Paige is, seems rude to ask her. I tried a new cupcake recipe for the occasion and also made Nutella cookies at the request of the host.
Oh and she has a neighborhood cat named Lefty who has a house in her yard, he shows up when he wants to. We’re all cat people, so we’re hoping he’ll make it to the party.
Are we sure little brother Jason hasn’t stolen Justine’s youth in some mysterious, supernatural way? Should we all chip in and get a paranormal investigator on this case (if there even is a case)? Or am I just overthinking things again? I’m probably just overthinking things again/waxing hyperbolic about finding him that weird, amazing combo of hot/adorable. No offense to Justine is intended, of course.
I actually think that Drew interview didn’t physically showcase Justine in the best way possible. Something was off-lighting, camera, angles, I don’t know what it was-but something was off and she didn’t quite look her best-her outer beauty wasn’t quite matching up with her inner beauty. The interview she did with Tamron Hall and Paulina Porizkova was great too, and her inner and outer beauty matched up better there.
I watched Dr Dray’s video a couple days ago. I thought it was really good and I was so glad that someone at her level and in her profession spoke so candidly about this issue.
