Good morning and happy Caturday!
Did you catch the solar eclipse? It was cloudy and drizzly this morning in our neck of the Bay Area, so at first I didn’t think we’d be able to see it, but then the sun broke through the clouds about 10 minutes after it started — hooray!
We used a homemade DIY eclipse contraption using paper, tape and tin foil to view it.

It was a very exciting morning and we enjoyed nerd-ing out with our neighbors. 😀

What’s on your agenda today? I hope you’ve got something fun planned for the rest of the day.

As you know, I’m in the northern part of Texas, and I noticed that the sunlight seemed a little dimmer during the 1/2 hour before and 1/2 hour after the eclipse. I did not get any glasses for this, but I will in time for the total eclipse in April, because, for the first time in my fairly long life, I’ll actually be in the right part of the world to see it. Hope I’m still alive and reasonably healthy then – as a so-called cancer survivor, one never knows about the future. Also, with world events as they are, I really wouldn’t be surprised if WWIII breaks out in the next month or two. Sorry to be a downer, but I live in the real world, where bad things seem to constantly happen, mostly because the human race is so flawed (see what Mark Twain wrote about that).
