Happy Caturday, my sweet friend.
I saw these black and white planters the other day and couldn’t help but think that whoever’s in charge of the cat lady things at Trader Joe’s needs a promotion. Their kitty planters have been way too tempting lately!

Speaking of cats, I’ve been trying my best to convince my “roommates” here at Casa MBB that we need another feline up in the mix. El Hub and Rosie are not having it, though.

I mean, sure, the last thing I need on my plate right meow is to keep another living thing alive, but my rational brain says, “Peace out, lady,” whenever baby cats are up in the mix. 🤣

How’s your day going so far? We’re off to our favorite pumpkin patch in Petaluma for some pre-Halloween fun.

There are several within driving distance from where we live, and in addition to pumpkins, there’s typically a petting zoo, slides, corn maze and a corn kernel pit (it’s totally a thing).
Are pumpkin patches a big deal where you live?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I’m not allowed at petsmart unsupervised since a trip there resulted in cat #5. In my defense, my husband once brought home 2 kittens when he only went to get 1 & this was a tiny little black kitty & she was so cute!!! He did pick up cat #5 since I was working – me ‘2 pm and bring $195 cash and a cat carrier’. him ‘is this a cat adoption or a drug deal?’
Hi Karen!
Pumpkin patches with similar fun kid/family activities are quite popular here in Alberta too. I was just searching for one near my brother’s place to take my nephews next weekend. I went to one in British Columbia with my nieces last weekend while visiting them – the corn maze was enjoyed by the three year olds more than I expected and of course they loved picking out their own pumpkins and the petting zoo. I recommend a visit.
Your Connor looks so sweet in the throwback photo in the pumpkin patch. I hope you all had a great day.
Thanks for the “I’ve been living videos”, I too enjoy them.
I’ve never seen an actual pumpkin patch of pumpkins on the vine. I guess in my area it’s not economically feasible. Of course, the climate stinks, incredibly hot for months at a time and often not enough rain to keep crops in fields alive if you don’t have an irrigation system. What we have here is churches selling greatly overpriced pumpkins as fund-raising. Of course, you can still go to a grocery store and get one at a reasonable price.
Oh, I just teared up a little when I saw that pic of Connor, and she’s not even my baby! HAHA! Fair warning, reading my comments is probably like looking 10 years into your future. For your sake, I hope you won’t be as ridiculously nostalgic, though. 🙂
