Good morning, sweet girl! Happy Caturday. 😺 Guess what I’m doing today? Here’s a hint: it involves lots and lots of makeup brushes that need TLC, because I’ve been putting off washing my brushes for weeks.
OK, OK, it’s been a couple months. YIKES! I know.
What’s changed? Well, I’m starting a new job on Monday. Yup, I’ll be working as a copywriter with a local Bay Area beauty brand, and I anticipate Zoom meetings, so now I’ll have an excuse to apply some face paint on the regular.
I imagine I could probably hop on most calls without any makeup, but whenever I see myself bare faced on camera, especially in a professional setting, I don’t feel as put-together as I do when I’m wearing makeup.
Anyway, I’m excited, both to start something new and to have an excuse to actually wear makeup again! 🤗

Yes, it’s a remote position! I’m very exited I’ll be able to work from home, not only because I can keep wearing stretchy pants (ha ha!), but also I’ll have a little bit of flexibility in terms of doing things with Connor.

The opportunity to flex your writing muscles and for a great excuse to wear makeups again (pluralizing like our parents do lol). Aww, that’s so sweet of you to remember. Yes, new gig, and I lOVE the work, my co-workers, and boss. Damn, I got super lucky. Too bad it’s only for one year but I’ll take and milk my one year.
I’m also styling hair and makeup for a friend’s Magic Island wedding in February, which I’m super excited about! Haven’t styled in a minute but I’m getting surprisingly excited thinking about what new and exciting (or tried and true) products I’m gonna use for her special day. I’m also looking forward to doing a long wedding braid style with her long hair.
Maybe you can treat us to new/inspirational makeup looks Zoom Edition because that is work reality for so many of us!

I only use a few brushes on the regular, I should go wash them tonight. I have clean sheets on the bed and am in the tub, gonna shave my legs for that clean sheets smooth legs feeling.
