Happy Caturday, friend!
A certain cat lady and a lil’ spunky feline had quite the adventure at the cat clinic recently.

Rosie went in for routine vaccinations, and I learned how just gangsta she truly is. Out of all the kitties in the waiting area that day, she was the only one actively trying to escape her cat carrier, LOL!
She rocked it back and forth with her bodyweight, shot her paw out of the front to claw me (and my purse), meowed loudly to let everyone know how annoyed she was about her current situation… I mean, seriously, it was CRAY.
It was if Rosie woke up that morning and chose violence.
Oh, and don’t even get me started on how she was with the vet. She hissed and growled at the doctor so aggressively, he had to get a second set of hands to help with the shots.
I would’ve never guessed that my sweet Rosie-Pose was so combat ready.
Don’t be fooled by this girl’s face! She will mess you up. LOL!

On that note, please enjoy the cat content in this week’s reading. Meow.

Oh the fun of taking cats to the vet. I had one that was labeled ‘fractious’ in her medical file. She was 4 pounds of angry kitty. One of my current cats turns into satan when we try to get her in the box. We have to wrangle her into the shower & shove her into it. Why the shower…because she gets so upset she pees on the floor. This last time we couldn’t get a hold of her, she was trying to bite my husband (he had welding gloves on) and she ending up anger pooping & peeing behind our headboard!! When I got to the vet with the other cat, I said ‘Dusty & I had a conversation and we decided she wasn’t coming today’. The vet & I discussed pharmaceutical solutions for next time.
Yikes!!!
Dusty is very sweet but do not try to shove 15 pounds of angry kitty into the box!
Don’t let the lab coat fool you.
Rosie clearly has some street 😂😹
Rosie looks quite angry in that photo with the red (scrunchie?) collar, to me.
I’ve always heard that most cats are insanely difficult to handle at the vet, or even to get into a carrier. This is one of the reasons I prefer dogs – they usually are so eager to please, they will do what you want, so long as you train them correctly (with praise, not fear). I couldn’t tolerate a pet that thinks it has the right to bite you, and it seems that most cats definitely think they do have that right.
The vet prescribed 100 mg Gabapentin for my cats. Tuxedo gets 2 capsules the night before the appointment and then 2 capsules approximately 3 hours prior to the appointment. Tilli gets 2 capsule 3 hours prior to the appointment. You can tell who is the fiesty one!
