So late last night the TV kicked on by itself at exactly 3:15 AM, which I know from watching enough horror movies is also the witching hour. I was sound asleep at the time and heard what sounded like one of the real housewives yelling. At first I thought someone had broken into the house, so I woke up El Hub, who grabbed a machete from under the bed and went to check it out. (He keeps all kinds of things under there. Weapons, comic books — you know, the usual.)
Do ghosts like Bravo? I don’t know, I think they might. Because if I were haunting someone, that’s what I’d like. Some Lisa Vanderpump, a little Giggy, a few rattling pots and pans. Good times…

I have been using Tom’s of Maine Olive Oil bar soap to cleanse my face.
SO. I don’t have some super-cool supernatural experience I can talk about, but I have this one weird beauty tip my mum taught me ages ago. She’s from the Philippines, and she’s really against all that cosmetic mumbo-jumbo in terms of cleansing and hydrating your face, since she’s into doing things a little more au naturel and diy-ish. So she taught me to take those tiny Filipino limes, calamnsis, and squeeze out the juices of three or four of them, mix it with some melted coconut oil, and a load of brown sugar, and use that to exfoliate! It works WONDERS, and it hydrates too! Hope you guys try it out sometime, it changed my life!
I always wear my hair in a bun or pony tail when it’s hot. Especially when it’s almost 104 here in Sacramento! 🙂
I like to use Pantene mousse in my wet hair and then twist it up in a top knot bun on a hot day. It literally takes 3 seconds, but people always comment on my fancy do. I love it 🙂

My favorite face wash would have to be Angels on Bareskin from Lush. It’s gentle while still doing it’s job.

creepy! when The Man was deployed, i would fall asleep to the TV. i woke up the next morning with it on, but swore i turned it off before i completely dozed off. so then, i started putting the TV to “sleep”. still creepy!

I had a daydream about my ex and I standing on a busy corner in downtown chicago. he was on his way to class and was wearing two shirts. it was very hot out that day and i told him to take off both shirts. he had a blue t-shirt under his black button down shirt. i kept the blue one and took off all my clothes and put that on. i gave him his black shirt back. then i walked across the street and got on the train and went home.
I have two cats as pets and they love to sleep in my bed, especially the girl, who loves to sleep on my pillow.
Chloe bear, my yorkiepoo, always sleeps with me. Shes the perfect sleeping buddy! Just don’t wake her from her beauty rest or the bear will be grouchy. Lol It’s comforting to know your pet is always there no matter what.

My favorite face wash is still Vichy Normaderm, I use it with my Mia. Although I had a mini tube of a Soap and Glory wash with little scrubbing beads (I don’t remember the name of it) and it was amazing. I kept forgetting to get a full size from Sephora every time I go there.

I recently discovered Dermadoctor’s Ain’t Misbehavin’ Medicated AHA/BHA cleanser, and I am seriously obsessed. It’s a little pricey, but you get a lot of product. It has completely transformed my skin!

I tend to steer clear of most product in the summer because I hate feeling sticky. Instead, I use a dab of Lush’s R&B after I towel dry, then I blow dry until my hair is about 75% dry. I finish with one squirt of Bumble and Bumble’s styling lotion on my part, just to smooth down weirdness.
I’ve been using the Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Face Cleanser.
My cat more often than not will sleep on the rug by my bed. However, once in a while, he’ll get on the bed and take up most of it (I still use a twin).

On hot days, i wear my hair up in a pony-tail/ bun. Thank goodness bay area whether is manageable. That being said, I LOVE my Garnier Radiance Renewer Cleansing Gelee to keep my face fresh throughout the day. 🙂 Keep hydrated everyone!
We had a ghost at the house I grew up in and he freaked me out. It was definitely the owner, who had died in the family room (as we later learned from some neighbor).
Our cats used to sleep with us, but they don’t so much anymore because 1) it’s hot, and they don’t need to snuggle so much, and 2) we’re getting ready for baby and they won’t be allowed in the room for a while!
It’s so hot here in Texas. My daughter made the all star softball team so we have had practice every night. I am not even playing and my clothes are drenched. When it’s this hot, I don’t even bother with make up, unless i go to work .

I have no pets right now 🙁 but when I did have a dog, he would always sleep with me! I’d get too warm and move a little, and he’d move too (bc he needed to sleep RIGHTNEXT to me, it was adorable!).
I’ve gone back to my PCA Skin 5% BPO face wash…I swear it’s the only face wash that can keep my acne in check. I stopped using it for two months and HOLY CRAP!

I’m a nurse, and my co-workers and I swear there was a ghost in our ICU. One night we walked into a patient’s room to give some meds to a patient who was on a vent and completely sedated. And suddenly all the cards and personal photos, one by one dropped from the walls. Other nurses have seen “people” go in that room, but when they go to see who it is, no one is there. Lets just say, I’m glad I no longer work nights! #freaky

I don’t have pets but my sis has 2 doggies. I petsit quite often and I always let them sleep on the bed with me, even though they insist on sleeping in ways that take up all the space!
I usually just stick to Yankee Candles or the candles from Bath & Body Works. They do the job & smell great for a reasonable price.

I lived in a haunted house, but didn’t have any experiences – my brother did though. Three of our four pets sleep with us, and I use Shu Uemera cleansing oil. My hair is short – same in summer and winter. I so don’t understand fancy, expensive candles at all. Or any candles really. Keep them around in case of a hurricane.
I’m with Claire, above–I have long hair and when it gets upwards of 80 I have to keep it up off of my neck, otherwise it becomes a tangled sweaty mess!

I saw a ghost as a child. I was with another little girl, we were going into my basement where the playroom was. My dog would love to sleep on my bed, but I forbid it. She has her own space! 😀

My take on fancy expensive candles is this, well if they are scented expensive candles anyhow I don’t bother as I unfortunately was born with no sense of smell. A blessing and a curse all in one.
I am using baby soaps, eveline cream wash, garnier cream wash, and soaps made out of goats milk .
My dog is getting brattier and scooching his way to the pillows every night. It was annoying enough that he wants half of the bed and that half has to be the middle of the bed instead of conveniently a side. But now he wants alll the pillows. Why can’t I stop spoiling smelly face!
I personally prefer the fragrance sticks to candles. No fire hazard 🙂

I have been trying to use up a sample of Lush’s Coal Face cleanser at the moment, I’m a bit amazed & pleased at how long it’s lasting! I’ll probably try something new when it’s finished though.

For the extreme summer humidity here in Florida, I cut my hair short-medium length where I can still rock a tiny poofy ponytail and wash my face with Biore’s Combination Face Cleanser :).

When the weather is hot, I like using my hair in a bun. I can’t stand having long hair in summer but I don’t have the guts to cut it either!
I’ve been using La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar foaming cream cleanser. Gets my skin really clean and removes makeup and oil without stripping and has some Salicylic Acid to treat clogged pores. Fairly expensive but lasts a long time since you only use a pea-size.
I just bought a Z palette.. Thinking about depotting my naked palettes!
I’ve been alternating between CeraVe’s foaming face wash and their hydrating one. I think I need to add some retinol to the mix because my checks are red and splotchy like they haven’t been in months!

When I was a kid I thought I had a supernatural experience when I was at my birthday party and a bright light completely obscured my vision and things felt like they had slowed down. It creeped me out but then I realised years later it was just a camera going off when I saw a photo of me from then with a dazed look on my face! I’m not really into the supernatural but my dad tells some stories about things that happened to him when he was younger and playing in the woods by Shotts prison…
So Cal summers suck! It has been over 100 degrees for the past three days with humidity (that part is rare, but the heat is not. I think my ovaries may be fried now!

I can be suckered into buying a fancier candle (but nothing really crazy exquisite) if they have a gimmick I like (last time I bought a gummi bear scented Jewelry Candle… gummi bear fragrance and hidden jewelry in a candle? Count me in!).

I’ve been using Cetaphil as my face wash, but I’m kind of over it! It’s actually for oily skin – and I have super dry skin! Problem is, it’s $8 and I have a lot left. I’m trying to use it so that when I buy all my new toiletries for going back to school, I can grab some of the new Boots Botanics brand from Target (I confess – because the packaging is SUPER CUTE!!)
My cat has taken to sleeping on my head, so I don’t let him in the bedroom anymore. I make sure to give him extra cuddles in the morning though!

My pets are not in the bed sleepers. My 50 pound gsp takes up most of my king size bed if I were to let him and most of that side is usually mine and not the hubby’s for some reason. Lol and my tabby is not much of a sleep on or near people. She was a rescue and isn’t the cuddly one in the family. I cut my hair really short last fall and it’s still pretty short now so I don’t really have to put it up on hot days. I love that you do this giveaway every week.

My fav facewash to use is Ocean Salt from Lush. I love it because it is a deep cleanser and removes all the dirt from your face leaving it feeling squeaky clean!!

Expensive candles….phish. I LOVE LOVE Bath and Body Works candles. They are the only ones who’s scents don’t give me a headache.
I’m pretty sure ghosts love television. I’ve had a handful of strange tv experiences including channels switching on me and volume jumping uncontrollably. I’m not that big of a believer in that kind of thing, but it seems to me that if there IS something out there, wouldn’t a tv be a pretty great tool for them?

Hey Karen! 🙂 I love DHC Deep Cleansing Oil and then I follow up with Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar. It never dries my face out and I have combo acne-prone skin. 🙂
Turns out, my salicylic acid-face wash was hurting more than helping my acne. I switched to a gentler, no-fuss Neutrogena one and my skin is MUCH better!
