Misery is being a world-renowned kitty supermodel and not having unlimited in-and-out privileges in your own home.
Poor Tabs.
He’s such a good cat, and I know he would love to spend his days exploring the hills and open space here in Novato, but he’s not allowed. He’s on house arrest because he’s a roamer, and I’m afraid he’d get lost, try to cross a busy street or cross paths with a wild animal.
He still goes for daily walks on his leash, with me serving as his personal Secret Service agent, but I’m sure he misses his days as an untethered, free-spirited loner outside.
Oh, well. It’s the price of fame, I guess.
This week Tabs worked entirely from home. Photography crews turned the living room into a working studio and brought all of the lighting and props for his kitty modeling shoots. It was quite a spectacle! Here are pics from the ad campaigns…

Who is Tabs the Cat? About six years ago I befriended a stray, flea-bitten tabby cat with a bad case of worms. I could see he’d fallen on hard times, but his profound knowledge of high fashion and department store cosmetics led me to believe that he was more than meets the eye. We became fast friends, and now he’s actually my boss (and a successful kitty model). 🙂

The pic of Tabs with a cowboy hat and boots is great! Mingy shares in the misery of being an indoor cat. He too would love to roam the streets, but it’s just not safe.
Back the early days when Mingy was first coming around, he was gone for two days and came back smelling like someone’s garage.
He gets some free roaming privielges in the backyard, but there are a few times I’ve had to haul his furry butt back home when he’s run off after another cat.
OH I feel Mingy’s pain! It’s hard being built for the great outdoors and being stuck inside.
We love our humans, though, and appreciate them.

I always love Sundays with Tabs! We don’t allow our cats outside either. There are too many dangers out there. I am sure he understands, even if he doesn’t agree. 🙂 I love all of these pics!

Tabs, we have two cats.,..you need to understand that it is good to be indoors, or, outdoors with a leash with your parents! 🙂
So smart, Tabs! Outdoor kitties have half the life expectancy of indoor kitties. We want you around for many more Mondays! Just remember, indoors is an anti-aging miracle for kitties! Our mom has tried the leash thing on one of us, and it was not a success. But sometimes she takes us out to the the caged-in pool area and hangs out with us. Lucky for us, there’s still some green stuff to eat (mostly weeds though).
