Dapper days
Fashion journalist André Leon Talley once called Tabs “the daring darling zenith of feline fashion,” and without question, Tabs made his mark in high fashion because of his penchant for elaborate haute couture and his over-the-top sense of style.
Side note/fun fact: he once dressed up as a different Victoria’s Secret angel every day for an entire month. THERE WERE A LOT OF SEQUINS. And in case you were wondering, yes, the feathers on the wings turned out to be somewhat problematic because he couldn’t help but swat at them (he was a birder, after all!). Needless to say, my glue gun saw a lot of action that month.
What was I saying…? Oh, yeah, even though Tabs was known in fashion circles for opulent extravagance, I loved it when he dressed down, which for him usually meant a simple but elegant bow tie or a bejeweled crown.
Seeing him relatively unadorned reminded me of a simpler time in our lives, before the fame and fortune, back when he was just a sweet and scrappy ally cat who followed me around my apartment complex. ?
Doesn’t he look particularly dapper in these pics? Gosh, I miss that mug!

Tabs looks a lot like Myrtle The Wonder Cat. Except tame. And by tame I mean not ripping out my jugular while I operate the can opener for the morning tunafish.
Potty training went so-so but no matter how hard I try she is completely helpless with chopsticks or the English alphabet.
Don’t let these charming pics fool you; he was an @sshole. LOL! But the most lovable @-hole that I ever knew.
Tabs looked great in all those pics .. loved the ties!!!
He was so dapper! I miss him. 🙂
As always, sad but sweet viewing all the lovely photos; makes a nice start to my week . . . and who doesn’t need that theses days?! ?
Bless you, take care –

I miss my boy!
He was just naturally fashionable, no matter the environment.
He left a hole in all our hearts. So many outfits, so many iconic pics…Much, much missed. :((((((((( Sigh.
I think about him all the time! Last night Connor asked me to read a book called Cat Heaven (I got for her shortly after he passed), and as I was reading it I was a little teary. He is very missed.
