WOOT, homies! I can practically *taste* the weekend on my tongue. I’m out here counting down the minutes to Saturday! My plan is to spend part of the day straight-up playing with makeup — what I call good old fashioned “me” time. 🙂

Interesting! I was just looking at these in a magazine this morning. Talk about kismet.
I usually scoff at people that are easily influenced by tv commercials, but when Drew Barrymore comes on the screen looking gorgeous and tells me that her eyeshadow stick is like a makeup artist in your purse, I REEEEALLY want one.
I lack something witty to type in this comment… but I am excited for Mother’s day this weekend! Taking my mom to dinner on Saturday night to celebrate!

Today i went to my local cosmetics company store .. for the second time this week [which is also over an hour away btw .] the lady today was a total effing biatch and she gave off such a horrible vibe. but nevertheless, i got a couple of pretty things, including, but not limited to Pink Bronze pigment . i actually really dislike loose pigments but it’s So pretty ! i’m obsessed with bronze nowadays and i’ve always liked pink eyeshadows ..i don’t think they look too shabby on 🙂

I have been using RapidLash for the past two months, and am seriously IN LOVE with it. I haven’t been wearing any mascara at all, but it’s actually pretty funny that you should be doing this contest. Speaking of freaky dreams, two nights ago I had a dream that all my gums were bleeding like a faucet, and that my teeth were crumbling away by the minute. when i tried to show people like my mom, they just said that my teeth were fine and that they didn’t seen anything wrong with them. but then i would touch my fingers to my gums to show them the blood, and no one could see it but me! ::shivers:: i dont know if anyone will understand what i just explained, but it was real creepy all the same. it felt so painfully real.
i woke up, jumped out of bed, and brushed my teeth like a mofo /=[

Would you believe I have never tried CoverGirl lash blast? Everyone raves about it so much. So far my HG mascara has to be Clinique High Impact. OMG it is amazing. I just bought the Clinique curling mascara, thinking it would be the same effect but just with my curl, but it is not the same 🙁 :(. I’m so disappointed….I’m going to have to go back and get the High Impact. It’s not waterproof but honestly doesn’t budge until I want it to ;). The curling one will NOT come off! So annoying! I haven’t worn mascara in four days because I’m still waiting on bits and pieces to come off. Ok that was a looong ramble about mascara, lol.
I love Friday! My friend and I ended our rough week by going on a short run, and then hitting up happy hour on the waterfront. MMM milkshake, tater tots, and fondue!

I’m leaving for a long vacation on Tuesday and, as usual, have left most of the preparation until the last minute, so this weekend is scheduled to be one long packing frenzy. Worth it, but a frenzy nonetheless.

Yeah those freaky dreams… I’ve been having what I like to call “Movie Trailer” dreams and typically the “movies” are cheesy horror flicks. They start off with a random girl (My point of view in these dreams is almost always the camera) doing something rather boring like sitting in on a lecture. It then switches to the girl flirting with a cute guy (the teacher who’s giving the lecture in this case). Then you’ll start to see where the crazy not-normal stuff comes into play. The lighting flickers, shadows creeping, floor warping – You know, typical cheesy scary movie fare. After that all hell breaks loose. Shadow arms reaching up through the tiles, hot teacher turns into the embodiment of a shadowy demon lord… Cut to black, cue screams and/or creepy childish laughter. Movie Trailer dreams. Love ’em. Once my dream actually panned out over a theater of avid movie goers watching the trailer, crazy freaky indeed!
In other non-creepy less-weird news, I plan on staying in this weekend. I’m nursing a cold the Hubs decided to share with me. At least it gives me plenty of time to wash my makeup brushes and not do laundry, right?
A comment about anything? Where do I even start? I suppose I will tell you about my cats. Zippy and Moose are both female kitty mutts. Zippy is a short haired, territorial, bossy, male-lovin cat who loves being combed ONLY by my dad and has an extremely short tail. She often has male callers who come by the house but she only pays attention to the black cat who lives down the street. We call him Tom.
Moose is a long haired, cuddly, possessive, tortoise shell cat with a duo coloured face with a line that goes straight down the centre of her face. She loves lying on her back, digging her nails into my legs and always gives me the cold shoulder when I go away for the weekend.
Methinks Tabs, Zippy and Moose would enjoy a play date.

Midterms next week, then FINALS. On the bright side, however, I’m having dim sum with my mom and grandma tomorrow!

Let’s talk about freaky dreams….
Ever since September 11, I’ve had dreams where I woke up in bed and all of the curtains were removed from the windows. Men dressed in black and wearing ski masks surrounded my windows, carrying machine guns and aiming them at me. (I don’t know how they were able to do that on my second floor windows)
Those dreams always involved me trying to find one place in the house immune to gun fire. I always wake up in a cold sweat after those dreams! 🙁

For mothers day, I got my mom a salon gift card to her a cut, dye and her nails done! We also planted her garden, which was fun!
I am having a fun Spring so far, however filled with TONS of work! Hopefully things will wind down soon! thx for this!

Most of the times I don’t remember my dreams unless its one of those lucid dreams where I can’t forget however I haven’t had one of those in a while. So instead my dream plan for the weekend is to catch up on my beauty sleep, run some not so glamorous errands and enjoy the sun (if there is any in the bay area) and most importantly take mommy to a nice dinner for mother’s day.

Tonight was prom for dd and the party bus broke down on the way there, the poor kids were over an hour late to prom 🙁 but she did say she had a great time!
10th Anniversary of my Dad’s death today. I don’t want to pull the sympathy card. However, my mom has had to handle my two sisters and I for 10 years alone today, and Sunday is Mother’s Day. We’re not allowed to buy her presents, her rule (since we’re all in college), but if I could win something that would be AMAZING!!! Please take me into consideration!

The other night, I had a dream that my girlfriends and I skipped work, packed into a two-door compact car and caught a 10AM showing of Sex and the City 2. We were also showered with free popcorn and soda! Weird thing is when I looked inside my bag marked “free popcorn”, I found a huge loaf of bread… score! LOL

I have been loving the spring weather. Planted a huge herb garden (11 different kinds total) about 3 weeks ago before th friendly neighorbhood rabbit ate it. Then I have spent the last week replanting the herb garden plus tomatoes, peppers, and flowers. Which of course the rabbit is slowly attacking. Now, I’m working on keeping the rabbit out. Name something – I’ve tried it. Chicken wire, granulated fox urine, homemade tonics with tobacco tea, listerine and ivory soap. After all this work, guess what I saw pop out from under the gate as I was pulling in the driveway: that furry little brown rabbit scurrying around the corner of the house. Someone I work with said I’m going to become like the Caddyshack character – plotting to rid the yard of the critter – just without the dynamite. Now I’m thinking I should stage a feeding area with carrots and lettuce away from my fencing – like by the neighbor’s yard who doesn’t clean his dog’s poop from other people’s yard. Anyway, just doing a little websurfing before spreading more granules around the newly replaced plants.

I went to Target this weekend and was doing some mindless browsing in the cosmetic section when I came across fragrance testers. (finally!) I tried Halle by Halle Barry and loved it! It made it’s way into my cart and I wore it for the first time today, I’ve gotten at least 4 comments on how good I smell. Yay for celebrity fragrances with a $20 price tag!!!

I spent yesterday with my momma, and ate a bunch of food! …seriously a lot of food! I made french toast with marscapone cheese, strawberries marinated in sugar, and home made syrup. It was a hit! My mom and grandma loved it! I think I’m going to start making it every year!
Ahhhhh eye makeup! I always stick to tones that are neutral for my dark skin, such as bronze or gold, but this summer I want to celebrate the warmth and good weather with colors that pop! PICK ME PLEASE 😀
Inspired by your review about Rimmel’s Max Volume Flash I applied some to my right eye. I wanted to compare it to Lash Blast so I have the Covergirl mascara on my left. It wouldnt be too bad except for the fact that Rimmel is in Black and Lash Blast is in Brown. As I went to run errands today I felt like I was wearing to different colored socks!

Congrats to the winners, but truth be told I was underwhelmed by them (I got them via BzzAgent to try out). They’re poorly pigmented and uncomfortable to use.
